I was just able to get this with a time of 2:35.95
The 3 sequence breaks are by far the most important/necessary thing to remember. I hardly ever "strafe-ran" in the Road Ripper except for around turns; when it came to straight pathways, I just held down "W" and hit an occasional "Q" boost.
Speaking of boosts, efficient usage of them is indeed very important; I tend to use mine right before I hit a booster ramp, for maximum air and speed (remember that you can also use them in mid-air to help clear gaps that you might not otherwise clear!). I also tend to use them if I'm about to hit a wall of enemies and the Homewrecker particles don't seem to want to kill them for me lol
Lastly, use them quicksaves. Don't be afraid of them. Voidpoint thankfully didn't make it so you had to get this in one, solid run 😂

Go an S-rank with 2:35 and change, so there's a bit more let.
That Rooftop skip where you have to get extra height is probably the biggest hangup for me. UGH!

Nice. When the game first launched, one developer told me the S-rank time was 2:30, but I don't think they were considering the bonus time you get for killing enemies. That, or maybe they changed it sometime around the game's launch. This achievement is one of the harder ones to get if you don't know strafing is faster than holding forward, and if you don't know about the sequence breaks.

Same for me. I'm on the verge of tears and thinking I might have to just give up on this achievement. I've managed it by pure luck once but still 2:37 A rank. Now I can't figure out what I did right to try and shave off those few seconds. I just keep failing that first major jump you're talking about. So frustrating.

    thanks m8, that helped
I managed to get the time down to 2:57 before realizing you can boost...

Yeah, they don't do a very good job of communicating to the player that they can press Q to turbo. I'd say that's probably the one thing they could do to easily improve the bike levels.

Same here. I thought I was missing some huge sequence break and played the level over and over again to find it - and by pure coincidence I realize that there is a boost...

Lol I had no idea you could boost. Need to replay.

For all the slow pokes like me, you can still achieve an S Rank with 2:33:00.

is there like a gear shift button i don't know about or something? Even with strafing, my bike is topping out at like 98mph before boosting and it only gets up to like 140 with a boost. You're hitting well above that. My fastest time was 6m48. feel like I"m missing something

Are you pressing Q to turbo? Unfortunately, the game does a pretty bad job of communicating to the player that they can do that. Also, make sure you're holding forward while you're strafing, so you're driving diagonally and not sideways. Even just holding W and D at the same time should get your well over 98.

I´m passing the race in 2.14, yet I get a S. Am I supposed to do it without dying to get a S?
