I don’t own many RC cars (only 4), but the Slash Ultimate is one of them and it’s my favorite so far, after 9 years it’s still going strong! This will be definitely my next purchase.

Looks very good! I really like it. But Maxx Slash seems to be silly name. They should called it "X Slash" like they did with X Maxx.

That’s a lot of plastic for 700 bucks like usual traxxas, still has the same junk esc as well.
I am sick to death of hearing about clipless bodies. I despise putting the body on my Xmaxx 742 times every time i drive it. The Maxx is the same way. My buddy actually put the body of his Maxx on backwards without knowing it and thought he'd messed something up when it took off backwards when he pulled the trigger. Maybe it's better on the Sledge but the rest of that rig is less than stellar. Also this hasn't managed 70 yet on any review. It barely broke 50mph. That better be a massive speed gear. Traxxas lies about box speed. Also those vents don't prevent parachuting. I get being excited about a new ride from Traxxas. They only do new bodies and bold new colors usually but don't pretend it's the best ever. I own a few Traxxas so I'm no hater but i also own both 4s and 6s Mojave and anyone else who has one already knows it'll take something really special to match them. So far all this has matched is the 4s Mojave speed and that was with the slash on 6s. It almost makes me think everyone is afraid to say anything remotely not positive or else Traxxas won't give them another new release early. (In 18-24 more months when they finally make another one. Until then it's all ultimate editions and bold new colors.
Good info. I am going to check out Mojave before I buy. I haven't had an RC truck since 1984, completely different world now.
@@colinbrewhaha i am constantly going back and forth about my favorite RC whether it's the Fireteam or 6s Mojave. Most days it's the Fireteam because of its versatility and durability. It handles great and can flip and bash. The Mojave is the same platform with smaller tires and a truck body. Then the 4s Mojave came out and it's really good also. I actually drive it more now. It's lighter and smaller plus only takes 1 battery at a time (I've never got around to buying any 6s batteries). Minus the flips it's just as fun and has been just as tough. Nobody I know who has one is disappointed and even my Traxxas buddies have been impressed when they drive it. I've even sold a few for Arrma by letting folks try it out. It's one of those cars you can hand the radio to anyone and not worry about them hurting anything. Buy whatever you want but don't skip out on Arrma because of stuff you hear in comments sections. Even Talbot liked the 4s Mojave and he's very critical on Arrma products. Welcome back to the hobby and best of luck!
Glad someone said it lol. Traxxas is the apple of the rc world. I love my kraton 4s 2.5 and I'm pulling the trigger on the mojave 6s

For the price and price you will have to pay to upgrade , I think the Mojave is a better buy . It’s definitely a good looking truck

So Traxxas is asking $700 for this cool SC truck but there is NO fan on the motor WTH Traxxas Really you would think for $700 it would come with a motor Fan plus it comes with all the telemetry sensors but no Bluetooth module WTH Traxxas ????????
