Oregon is so beautiful!! We got to go there during the pandemic to camp because, well, there wasn't a whole lot else to do 😂 But it is definitely a very underrated state!
Me thinks I would enjoy Oregon. I've been to Seattle and Yakima, Washington a few times for work/play. And really enjoyed it. Safe travels back to Tennessee.......fall colors will be arriving soon, looking forward to the annual River Gourge cruise......😊
Super tips, as always. A couple weeks ago we stopped by an orchard just north of Spokane, WA, and had some pumpkin and cinnamon doughnuts y'all had recommended and you were 100% right in they were SO delish!
Thanks for the fun video. I grew up in Hood River but haven’t been back in years. We say it is so windy there because The Dallas sucks (our rival town to the east)!
I need to add this to my Oregon bucket list. I try to hit up some type of thrift or vintage store every time I go to Portland, just bc the items are so different from here on the east coast.
Spotted you all at the coffee shop this morning and snapped a photo of the sweet Land Cruiser. Looks like you've been traveling far to make it all the way to Kentucky.
No way!! I'm so sorry I'm just now seeing this comment, I've been really behind on answering. But yes! we did travel far (and fast) to get to Kentucky. :)
Loved this video! We also have a Fruit Loop in Northern WI. It’s in the Bayfield, WI area. It’s a beautiful area right next to Lake Superior. If you find yourself in WI you should check it out!
Not a crazy question and yes, there are bears, but only black bears. Always be bear aware but black bears are generally more scared of you than you are of them. And they are a lot less aggressive than grizzly bears!
Just FYI.. it is NOT ALWAYS windy here and there are plenty of non-windy days in the Gorge. It can be very windy here which provides lots of opportunity to wind sports. Windsurfing is certainly still a sport here but there are so many other new wind sports that anyone could experience. Also the wind is mostly along the river when it does blow but inland from the river the wind can be light or non existent. I have lived in the gorge for over 25 years and work as a Realtor on both the Oregon & Washington side of the Columbia River. Your video is great but the way your statement came off is that its miserably windy here ALL the time and its simply not a true and accurate statement. There are plenty of non windy days to enjoy the river with paddle boarding, water skiing, jet ski, swimming, surf ski, outrigger teams racing.. not to mention the over 700 hikes and water falls to explore, world renown Mt Biking trails, road cycling, Art, culture, Great mention of the FRUIT Loop best enjoyed in the spring or early fall during harvest. I hope you did enjoy your visit here and as a long time resident and Realtor I am happy to answer any questions with respect to our area, real estate, activities, schools, etc.. Happy to provide information about our amazing area in the Columbia Gorge

My favorite thing was the “Swing at own risk” sign. There’s DEFINITELY a story behind that. 😂
You’re 100% right!! That’s a story I want to hear!
Super tips, as always.

Oh man, those pumpkin donuts are SO GOOD! So glad you got to try them, too! :)

I love WI but have never been to the Lake Superior portion of the state. Adding this to our ever growing wishlist of places to visit. Thank you! :)
Hood River is my home town!
Represent!
I believe you could describe the items at the Old Trunk as “curiosities.”
❤
Might be a crazy question to ask. But it's there bears up there ?

You should’ve at least tried to wind surf but great video nonetheless
We wish we could have! We were there for a day and half. Next time we’re in Hood River we’ll be sure to do it!
@@chrisandsara oh, and did Chris let you keep the pumpkin

Isn't Hood River the coolest town?
It really is!
@@chrisandsara don't you get everything you want and need there?
