Haven't stayed at Home 2 but we stay at the Inn at Christmas Place every year. It is fabulous!

We stayed in the Home2Suites for our honeymoon in 2019 and it was definitely one of the best hotels we've stayed in. I remember not feeling good during our trip, so we did our activities in the morning and would go back to the hotel to just rest and relax in the comfy bed! The location is amazing!

Great job on video. Our favorite is the Christmas Inn on your list. We haven't stayed at the others. The Christmas Inn runs a black friday sale and marks rooms down 30 percent. So if you stay like in Jan or February you can stay for 120 dollars. Great deal. 😎😎

Love this video! I am bookmarking the 5 you recommended for my future trips. I like how you gave very specific and notable reasons for each hotel, such as suitability for someone wanting to be able to work or someone with kids who may want a great pool. I have stayed so both The Hampton Inn and The Inn at Christmas Place. I wondered if you had the breakfast at The Christmas Inn is better than the breakfast I have had in any other hotel even rivaling that of the Hilton! I was surprised it wasn’t commented on. Very wide selection from an attended smorgasbord style serving featuring omelettes highlighted by their biscuit and gravy. A wide variety of breakfast sweets tops off the meal. It’s really great and is free for the entire family with your room! Enjoyed very much watching your other selections. Nothing beats the Hampton for outdoor variety of activities for the family. And as you say, their beds are among the best! Thanks for the review!

video looks pretty good to me!!! ... i was gonna guess 500.00 ... poor lil ole tootsie won't ever get to stay in the top 5 hotels ... i guess we will have to stick with La Quinta inn for the off season ... but it's CAMPER TIME when warm weather starts lol ... thanks for sharing and enjoyed it!!!

Hi Bob. The wife and I just watched this video from our room at the Home 2 Suites on Teaster. We just got back from the Island. Totally agree on your assessment. Very nice hotel in a great location. They have a nice complimentary breakfast as well. But, we’ll have to skip it at least once to try one of your pancake restaurant recommendations 😃. Thanks for these great and helpful videos. Very nice reviews. I'm just starting down the path of planning a Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg...possibly Nashville trip for the family. This gives me a great place to start. Would you recommend staying at either Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg for the entire time and drive to visit the other, or would you rather stay at Pigeon Forge for like 3 days, then move to Gatlinburg for 3 ect?
Personally I like splitting it in half, but it's what the whole family wants. Definitely would do at least one night down in Gatlinburg if you get the chance!

Nice list, some we haven’t stayed at yet. Agreed about the Inn at Christmas Place! Love that hotel, but like you said it’s expensive to stay there and we haven’t stayed there in a few years due to that. They used to have real good prices and specials. Hope to stay there again in the future. Definitely will check out those other hotel options! Thanks for sharing! 😊

Great video sir! Everything about Home2 suites was correct. Except the aggressive (non-service) dogs that bark throughout the morning. They need to do something about that!
Glad you enjoyed it! We didn't have that experience with the dogs, but I know that can be VERY annoying!

We have stayed at several hotels in the Smokeys (all Choice/Wyndham chains cause I would use points for part of the trip) and well, all but one of them were complete dumps. I’m not gonna go on and on but it was so bad y’all. It’s incredibly disappointing to get to a hotel after an exhausting day of driving or at Dollywood to find that your hotel is not good. The Baymont on the River Gatlinburg is the only hotel that we liked. The only issues we had were that they didn’t have a handheld shower sprayer and that there is a serious lack of parking. Even the crappy hotels are $200+ a night and it’s almost like they can get away with anything because people need lodging when they visit. Our next trip we are staying at the Inn at Christmas Place because I vowed that we are going to stay somewhere nice this time. I’m hoping it will be worth it the price 😊

Thank for the great reviews! Is the Holiday inn and suites pigeon forge convention center? I’m planning a first annual girls trip with my daughters and their friends and I’m trying to find a nice, clean, safe hotel without breaking the bank! lol
It's right on the main parkway. If your girls like to swim, that might not be the right one. Releasing a condo video tomorrow that has three bedrooms that might be of interest.

I had an internal war on it for real. I think between the price and the fact that a lot of people don't feel Christmasy 10 months out of the year, just nudges it out of the top spot. I love your TOP 3/5 videos. I love how yours are quick hits and quality graphics. I always feel the need to over-explain everything!

This was a great & informative video. It was ironic to hear what you said about Home 2 Suites. Before we saw this video I looked them up for Memorial Day weekend and they are like $350/ night, and I gave up on it. We have stayed at other Home 2 Suites sites and they were great and affordable. Feel like Hilton is taking advantage of a tourist town to charge higher fees.
We found a 2 bed / 2 bath condo with much more space at Big Bear Resort for way less money, so I feel like it’s not a valid price hike.
That's what's SO difficult about hotel reviews. They don't age well. Everything is going up SO much in price. :(
With that being said, most chain hotels jack up rates around Holidays and events
Yep, that’s what I figured out years ago. We have solely rented through VRBO on our trips to Pigeon Forge for the last 8 years as we typically come at peak times when I get long weekends off from work. We get more value for less money with VRBO in that scenario.
Didn't mention the fabulous breakfast at a Christmas in. It is amazing. This weekend we are staying at the Hilton Garden Inn because they accept pets. If you ever get a chance do a review on hotels that accept pets

I do appreciate the time you invest in your reviews, but I would love to see reviews of some of the more budget friendly hotels. Many of the older hotels have ratings over 4/5; I'm thinking of things like Comfort Inn at Dollywood Lane, Colonial House, Valley Forge, Maples Inn, Norma Dan, Vacation Lodge, Island Drive Lodge, etc.
I have three of those on my list already and will add more. Thank you for all of those suggestions!
I just got back from my Smokies trip and I wanted to let you know how helpful your videos were with planning. I stayed in three hotels while down there. I don't think your have reviewed them. 1st hotel was the Best Western Sure Stay Inn in Gatlinburg. I paid 62 dollars a night for a Sunday and Monday mid May. It was a newly remodeled king room and it was HUGE. It had a balcony over the creek. It was clean! Plus, it was right next to the park. Basic hotel breakfast. Pool wasn't exciting and it had the outdoor corridors but for the price I paid I was pleased! A bear also visits at night. We then moved over to Camp Margaritaville Lodge.It was fun but I wasn't blown away. My bed wasn't as comfortable as the Sure Stay. The staff there was really nice. It did have a festive vibe and a nice pool area. Price paid 115 per night for a Tues, Wed, Thurs night stay. No inclusive breakfast. We did have a tent room that my teenager liked. We then moved over to All Season Suites for Friday and Saturday night. Paid 149 per night. Lots of space with a little kitchen. Bedroom and living area had been remodeled. Bed was comfy. Bathroom sink area could use a remodel. It was nice to have the big fridge and eat a meal in. Staff was nice. Pool was basic as was breakfast. This hotel is pretty close to Dollywood. It would be a good place to stay if you were visiting there.

Great question... That I couldn't answer because I didn't try every hotel's pool.. and I suppose that could vary based on the day.

Home2 is pretty pricey sometimes. We just stayed at Country Cascades and outside of some nuisances (the dumb wristbands and school groups) it was clean, in a great location and affordable as hell. The pools and slides are really awesome too.
It is getting pricey. I hate it. I know of a few people that do country cascades everytime and love it
We've been wanting to stay at The Inn at Christmas Place since we first visited the area. If we would've fell in love in Pigeon Forge instead of Gatlinburg, I"m sure we would've already stayed here, but Gatlinburg has always been our home base.
I get that completely. We were the same when it comes to where to stay. We always wanted a cabin for the first few years and didn't get why anyone would stay in a hotel... now we almost exclusively stay in hotels.
The Chiefs stay at the Country Cascades. There headed there after the Super bowl.
The pool must be filled with water from the fountain of youth! :)
Stayed at Home 2 Suites a few times . Great rooms . Great View of The Island . Great breakfast choices . Location , location , location . My absolute favorite , until , they started allowing pets . On my last stay we had barking dogs in the room next door . Dogs unattended running the hallway , leaving gifts on the carpet . I also found quite a bit of wear showing on the furniture fabric due to the hotels popularity . My next trip was spent at The Hilton Black Fox Lodge , which I found was just okay . The Home 2 Suites really set the standard early on , but now , not so much .
Oh that's unfortunate. I might have to go back and update our review. This was our favorite for so long!

We have 4 older kids, from alabama and we bought dollywood season passes last year. finding moderately priced hotel rooms that fit our family is a struggle.

Westgate is better than all of these
Westgate is in Gatlinburg so it wouldn't have made this list even if I'd stayed there. I've never tried because they always require 3 nights stay minimum. I usually stay in a different place every night. Thanks for watching.
You missed the best one The Riverstone spa and resort by far nicer than the ones you showed
It's also more of a resort than the five hotels listed in this video. Its different in my mind. Same reason Margaritaville isn't on the list.
