within an hour of posting this, it was reported that justin baldoni, producer jamey heath, melissa nathan and jennifer abel have filed a $400 million lawsuit against blake lively, ryan reynolds, their publicist and her PR firm alleging defamation, extortion & more.
Jamey Heath is one of the people Blake accused of sexual harassment, isn't he?

This whole public fight makes me so so glad to not be a celebrity.
This whole scandal just made more aware of how easily I believe the stories being presented in the media
I appreciate the mention of the Hailey hate campaign of 2023. From the beginning of it I was against it & was basically verbally attacked in comment sections for it. It bothered me a lot that so many excused the pure hatred of her by saying she had a history of bullying, not caring about social justice issues, not being a girls girl, racism etc. because Selena also had a history of the same things but that wasn't brought up by nearly anyone. Which told me people didn't really care or do research. It was quite frankly disturbing to witness millions of people & brands send hatred to an individual for being in their eyes a mean girl. It was also completely inappropriate for brands/companies to participate in the hate in a joking manner. I'm honestly shocked she didn't end her life. I'm not saying there's not valid criticism of her. I'm saying the hated was nowhere near justified. It was infuriating to see so many be so openly vial to her while we have & continue to have much worse people in Hollywood than her or Selena & they don't have this sort of reaction. People with histories of abuse, hate crimes, s*x crimes & even murder don't have as much hate as her. I'm not a fan of Hailey still because as I said, there's valid criticism of her. But I won't let anyone convince me that what she experienced in 2023 was justifiable
I agree! The hate is intense. While I hope she’s okay, a lot of this publicity came from the New York Times article which was working with Blake’s team. She could have just done all of this privately or quietly…

@@thunrx1508 Asking to clarify, did you reply to my comment by mistake or am I misreading you? I never mentioned Blake at all in my comment? It's way too soon for me to have a strong opinion on it. The first lawsuit hasn't even been out a month & there's been so much info come out everyday. I left a longer comment on the most recent video on this channel about it

Honestly, I find it hard to believe this is a "he said/she said" situation bec. of the very long and specific HR agreement signed by both parties back in January (?) last year. This is so self-incriminating. I rarely saw a victim having such a smocking gun in their arsenal!

Edit: Also, I remember reading past pamphlets against Marie-Antoinette and Georgina, duchess of Devonshire. Sexist smear campaigns have been popular for a while now!

Right? Like he smeared her, and then she just released information that she had for a lawsuit. Whos smearing who?
It's a he said/she said because we don't know yet. Every day there's new information/claims coming out. For example the text that everyone reported on, it came out that they were deliberately clipped to appear a certain way in favour of Blake's claims. About an hour before this video it was announced Justin filed a countersuit claim & now people are going through his claims. Honestly some of the clips that went viral of her that people disliked I truly believe came from random internet sleuths & not a pr team. People find random bad clips of celebs all the time when there's controversy around them. I'm not saying I don't believe Blake, because I absolutely could see her claims being true. There have been stories similar to her's for many years in the entertainment industry. I'm just saying these lawsuits just came out & there will be so much more stuff to come. It's too early. It hasn't even been a month since the first one was filed

@moustik31 Please read up on the issues before posting damaging stuff like this. It’s not a smoking gun when your lawyer responds to it at the time saying it’s a gross mischaracterization since most of the things being demanded (e.g., an intimacy coordinator) were ALREADY in place (and there are docs demonstrating that, and the fact that Lively blew off meeting with them) but said yeah we’ll maintain all these things that already happened because it was their only choice because Lively was refusing to return to work and it would cost the case and crew their jobs

For me, Blake's best moment was her speech in 2017 raising awareness of child corn. It was powerful and moving, and her bravery in speaking about the realities of it is commendable. You could not make me hate this woman.

i appreciate how well done and well researched this was done. it really annoys me to see drama channels and influencers commenting on the situation without at least reading the lawsuits. as soon as i saw that baldoni hired the same crisis pr team that depp used, i was suspicious. i recognized the same astroturfing techniques and im glad i never jumped on the blake lively hate train

You need to read up on the topic before posting a video about it. There was no “smear campaign”
This video seems to present only one perspective, while substantial evidence has emerged from the other side. It would be beneficial to consider all viewpoints for a more balanced analysis and journalistic integrity.

appreciate the feedback. so much has been coming out since we wrote and recorded this. we work on these deep dives over a week before they air, but we tried to be as fair as possible. I touched on how I knew we could not please everyone given how divisive this topic is at the start of the ep. in addition to covering both lawsuits, we also made sure to include caveats, for example, with the texts published by the NYT we noted that justin was not included in some of those threads. and I even included a pinned comment this morning when his new lawsuit came out haha😭 both things can be true- there could have been a targeted smear campaign against blake while her camp could have also done the things he's accusing her/ryan etc. of. this is not black and white which is why I wanted to make that disclaimer at the start!
I think it was balanced. There were a lot of claims Blake Lively has made that weren’t covered. It’s only a 30 minute video after all and the focus was more on smear campaigns with this as an example of one.
You were not listening to each claim that Blake said there were many rebuttals from the other side.
I can’t believe you think this wasn’t supporting one side or the other and how much factual info you were wrong on. I’m unsubscribing. I used to think you were intelligent and just had a slighting annoying valley girl way of speaking. Now I can tell you really aren’t bright. This is so disappointing.
