Alex Winter (Bill & Ted, Lost Boys) joins us this week to share his experience of being under the limelight since he was a child, unexpectedly hitting fame with Bill & Teds, and then leaving Hollywood for a much needed sanity break. Alex talks about his enjoyment for acting the lifelong friendships he’s been able to build with costars like Jason Patric and Keanu Reeves. We also talks about growing up with free thinking Bohemian parents, his love for creating documentaries, and burning out in Hollywood.

He's ok, I am sure he wants to be in movies but he is not getting roles. We as fans love people, but filmmakers see the artist and choose. And he does not get chosen.
Love Bill & Ted, thanks for the interview Michael ! Didn't see it at the cinema but l bought the DVD.
This makes me want to watch it again. That line about playing his current self rather than his teenage self, it makes it feel different.
I enjoyed it the first time, but I was thinking of their mental state in a kinda different light.
Edit: I love Winter. I didn't start watching his interviews until the third movie, but it's super cool that he's this tuned in.

I love the daughters in the 3rd movie.
I kind of liked the Third movie. Probably mostly because I watched it with my 14 year old son. We had done a Bill and Ted weekend where we watch the first two and then went and saw the Third. He really got into the Bill and Ted vibe. So much so that we ended up going as Bill and Ted for Halloween. Also it kind of help me appreciate the second movie a little more. Was it the best thing ever put on film? No. But I sure did have fun watching it with my son.
To me it's better than the first one. Not as good as the second, but it didn't need to be. It's definitely a worthy piece of the trilogy for me.
I love that they're friends. Can't say I was a fan of the new movie, primary because they had very little screen time as normal Bill & Ted. I feel like the outtakes are the movie I'd want to see.

It has to be crazy for Alex's kids to watch a cool movie like The Matrix and then have it don on them that it's Uncle Keanu as Neo.

I always get the feeling that Sam and Dean from Supernatural were inspired by Bill and Ted.
I loved the 3rd movie. It wasn't the world's greatest work of art, but I loved it anyway. my biggest disappointment with the movie was it ended too abruptly and too soon. If a 4th is made, I know I'll love that too.

Alex Winter was the MVP of that third movie and really made the movie watchable Keannu was simply no longer the same person and was not able to portray his character like he used to.
The problem is I can buy Keanu as super nice and sweet, a handsome stud, or an action badass.... because I know he IS all those things. Clueless moron doofus doesn't work for him anymore unfortunately.
Keanu talks to me occasionally, he has offered to help with a film I'm putting together, but im using folk that owe me a favour, so I thanked him, but no mate, I'm trying to do this on my own. I am very bipolar, and he was worried, I said, nope I'm good, this happens, he is a gentleman and a scholar
3 wasn’t that good.
Real world people change jobs and lose contact with work friends. So not hard to understand 3-4 month shoot doesn't mean bonding.
He looks fairly young still, must take care of himself.
The third movie was terrible. It completely retconned the ending of Bogus Journey, and the characters felt entirely different from the first two. As a huge Bill & Ted fan, it was a massive disappointment for me.

I didn't like their daughters. The acting was so cheesy I couldn't watch it. I gave up after about 20 minutes.
@@Gizzlefitz The daughters weren't the issue for me. It was the lack of screen time for normal Bill & Ted, an over reliance on special effects and all the celebrity cameos.
It's a series where time travel is a thing.. retconning comes with the territory.
Half the Bill and Ted "Fans" hate Bogus Journey, so... this isnt new.
I enjoyed Face the Music like I enjoyed Bogus Journey. It was charming and I enjoyed it, but I won't watch it again lol

The last B&T was absolutely awful.
It was a terrible movie
unfortunately, the reboot was horrible imo. tried way too hard to rehash past movies rather than doing something interesting and new within the construct of this movie series. plus, the music in this last one was so bad it made it tough to watch.

What do you mean "huge movie star?" You're a huge movie star. 156 Episodes of a top hour long drama as a complex villain. Keanu never did that.
I mean not to hate on him, but making a point of him being a “movie star” while citing a tv show is not great example. He’s still a great actor but he definitely isn’t considered a movie star like Keanu is
