Of Course Bill and Ted's adventures and The Lost Boys which are just memorable and will live on forever in ever fans minds. Man it would've been so cool had Alex Winter guest starred on Smallville back in the day.
Never knew Alex Winter was so theatre based. Love listening to your podcasts because you seem to really just try to have real conversations with your guest. Keep keeping it real!
I loved that him and Keanu also did the animation voices for Bill and Ted too for a while...not many stars did for their animated shows...but when ernie Hudson wanted to do real Ghostbusters, the animation director told ernie Hudson he wasn't Winston enough for real Ghostbusters...not knowing he was winston.
No, they cast Arsenio Hall. The one I liked was Lorenzo Music. He was the voice of Garfield and Venkman. When he passed on the 90's, Bill Muuray voiced Gardfield in the CG movies. It was like everything came full circle.
I'm so glad you mentioned right at the beginning that Mr Winter was living in London for a time. I live in London and for a period of timewhenever I went into the centre of town I'd see this man who looked just like Alex Winter walking down the street or coming out of a shop. I ended up going through all the films and plays in production in the city just to see what he was doing in London but couldn't find any reference to him. I told my friends about it and they started joking that I was being stalked by a private investigator who looked like Alex Winter. I thought I was going mad (especially since if you were going to be stalked by any celebrity lookalike, why would it be Alex Winter?), As soon as I post this comment, I'm going to send this video to all my friends with a big fat *I TOLD YOU SO!!!* What a lovely man he is - and what interesting questions. Many thanks.
This was a phenomenal interview. I'm not into most horror films, so I never saw The Lost Boys, but the original Bill & Ted is a comedy classic. It really surprised me to learn though, that Alex had been an entertainer since the age of five! That's just crazy, and I'm glad he was smarter than his bohemian parents in making his kids go to college first.
Great interview! Michael Rosenbaum would be a perfect therapist because he knows how to start a conversation, to change subjects and goes really deep! Love it :)
I love Alex Winter! He is so interesting and calming to listen to, and his work ethic is so strong . I loved hearing about how different working in the U.K. was to working in the U.S. and about his time working on the Bill and Ted films - when an actor is talking about their experience on one of your favourite films from when you were growing up, it just hits a little different doesn't it❤ - and it is so lovely to hear about co-stars being great friends too, it all any of us want, its beautiful! Thanks Rosey and Ryan, another brilliant podcast episode. ❤
Dang Michael... I had no idea Alex was so cool and down-to-earth. I look forward to looking up his documentaries. That was a really great interview. Thank you - Thank you
This week’s episode is awesome! Alex definitely opens up and has so many great stories. He is definitely grounded. His documentaries sound interesting. I learned so much about him.
Alex Winter. Love him in Lost Boys. Amazing! Hope all is well to you all. Happy Holidays! Great time to listen to real, and uplifting, conversations like this. Thanks, Rosey! ❤
Alex Winter is such a real one. Absolutely love this dude. I've had a few interactions with him via social media, and he's one of the few people that clearly doesn't have an aid or something writing his posts, he's always SUPER down to earth and he's like Keanu, in that he clearly cares about people instead of just caring about himself.
Fascinating interview between two of my favorite actors. Learning about Alex’s youth in theatre makes me wonder if he played a Lost Boy in both Peter Pan and Lost Boys.
He played John Darling in Peter Pan on Broadway, so not exactly a lost boy in that, but I would say still close enough within those perimeters. An interesting coincidence though.
Finally getting a chance to listen to your podcast again as life has taken over. Although Alex had a somewhat minor role in Lost Boys he wasn't easy to forget. Awesome that he was able to appear on your show. 🤗💖😃
I’m using this medium to appreciate and thank you 🙏 for your prayers and support throughout my movie 🎥 career once again thank you 🙏 and if I may ask, where exactly are you reaching out from??
When I saw Alex Winter was on this week, I looked at my Bill and Ted Funko Pops (that are hanging out with my Neo, John Wick, Johnny Silverhand, Duke Kaboom and Smallville Funko Pops 🤣 ) and knew I would enjoy this episode. Alex comes across as such a nice guy and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to him talk about his life. You can see why he and Keanu remained close friends. One of my favourite Inside of You episodes, it was a joy to watch, and Alex did not disappoint.
Rosenbaum I luv this interview with Alex Winter wow I hope in the future can be seat over there Inside of you Mr Keanu Reeves I wish one day I luv you program 👋 🇬🇧 x
The Smallville behind the scenes blooper with Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum pulling off spot on impressions of Bill and Ted at the Lex Mansion was hilarious.
The crazy stuff Alex did in the 90’s with The Idiot Box and Freaked is still some of my favorite 90’s media. I really wish they were able to release both of those on a physical format. Freaked is but it’s incredibly expensive.
I’m saying a very big thank you for having found time to support and appreciate my movie 🎥 career all this years once again thank you! Hope you don’t mind where exactly are you from??
I think we need to get Alex and Wil Wheaton in a blind discussion/read off. I think listening to the two of them going back and forth would be one of the most soothing things ever.
I shook Yul Brinner's hand after he played in the West End in "The King and I", very exited guy, had a big smile on his face, cause his god son invited me and my two brothers to see the play. After he shook our hands he gave his god son a big hug and a kiss, it was very nice. This was back in 1980.
I've watched quite a few of your PC and there all great and the guests are fantastic, but this one with Alex just was perfect. You guys just seemed like buddies in the backyard having a fun convo. He is so easy to converse with and he was so open with everything. Great PC. Thanks.
I agree with that caller 100%. Love your take on mental health. Sure your bring it up ever time but it is actually important. So thank that caller for speaking for all of us!👍👏
I’m using this medium to appreciate and thank you 🙏 for your continuous support and prayers throughout my movie 🎥 career once again thank you 🙏 hope you don’t mind where exactly are you reaching out from??
Alex is such a dedicated and conscientious man and obviously loves his profession which has given him the success he deserves. This was a very entertaining informative episode😊
i got a horror convention in Florida I'm working at in two weeks, this got me more for Alex Winter who is one of the guest attending cause only the most I know of him is through Bill and Ted, and it interesting to find out how much work he's doing behind the camera
loved this episode and the show in general. Michael you are my favorite flash BTW, also. Love the guests that you have on your show and how human and down to earth it is. its like therapy for the stars and we get to be a part of it. Now you gotta get Keanu on, you had Winters gotta get the set.
I’m using this medium to appreciate and thank you 🙏 for your prayers and support throughout my movie 🎥 career once again thank you 🙏 hope you don’t mind where exactly are you reaching out from??
I’m using this medium to appreciate and thank you for your continuous support and prayers throughout my movie 🎥 career once again thank you 🙏 Hope you don’t mind where exactly are you from??
saw Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure in the theatre when it came out. saw it alone at a matinee. i was blown away and looked around like 'is anyone seeing what i am seeing here?' but of course i was like the only person in the theatre that day. i thought man i wish i could have seen this with one of my friends
Another very interesting guest to listen ❤ about his carreer that he began very young and i really liked, as always, your exchange about that 💓 I haven’t seen Lost Boys and Ted and Bill . Touching friendship with the brilliant Keanu Reeves. Amazing podcast Michael ad congrats well deserved on phone, i agree 💙👍 Glad to see Ryan ❤👋
Wow! I 100% percent did not know any of Alex’s theatrical background, but long known of his directorial stuff, eg Freaked. I honestly thought he was discovered by a casting agent who overheard him and Keanu goofing off in a Circle K? queue and was charmed. Well, learning all that was entertaining on its own!
Really enjoyed this one, I love the Bill and Ted movies. They were those movies that anytime you flipped thru the channels and saw that, that's what I watched. And I love Back in the Day, reminds me of I grew up in Indiana too.
Really enjoying this interview so far. What an incredibly talented and kind man! Was great seeing you last weekend. Safest travels to you this week and thanks for being the best part of my day 🙏🏻 P. S. Loved hearing the vm from your friend Chris. Seeing the joy it brought you made my heart sing. You are the best. ❤️❤️
I’m saying a big thank to you for your continuous support and prayers throughout my movie 🎥 career, again I say thank you ❤ Hope you don’t mind where are you from??
Great interview, what a fascinating man. I always enjoyed when he would suddenly appear in a random show, I wondered where he went to while not in movies or shows and I’ll have to look up his docs
Winter's doco on Frank Zappa is fantastic. Frank Z. is an unquestioned genius and Winters dives in with both feet...fearless as f*ck. A really good film.
Again, Rosenbaum hits it out of the park with the guest. Not familiar with Winter, but dude is funny and these 2 had me LoL. And Keanu Reeves looks like he’s be cool, down to earth.
i saw an ad on vhs for that 17th century movie "one haunted summer" i think it was based on Mary shelly, and the inspiration for writing the story Frankenstein, they did another version of it later on called Gothic but no Alex Winter starring in it still looking for the haunted summer one hope they show it on Amazon Prime Mr. Winter thank you for all of your great contributions to all of the arts it is much appreciated by me sir. just watched the movie Haunted Summer on UA-cam pretty good Alex plays Dr. Palidori for Lord Byron, it has some touching moments too and some naughty ones but man Mr. Winter plays a beautiful Acoustic guitar on the boat scene with Laura Dern singing a song to it really awesome it is really true to the original story of Mary Shelly.

Wow...Another awesome episode. Talk about a true, down to earth, gentleman and someone that has lived a great life. I really enjoyed this one and the time just flew by.....
Rosenbaum was born to do this. Funny, engaging and he is so good at letting the guest talk.
Yeah he was good on Smallville but great at this interview game.
Seems to bring it back to himself too much in interviews I have seen. But I like the interviews either way.
Agreed, he is a natural, This one of the few podcasts that's become a very easy watch - no BS, great insightful and comfortable conversations 👍 👏👌
Of Course Bill and Ted's adventures and The Lost Boys which are just memorable and will live on forever in ever fans minds. Man it would've been so cool had Alex Winter guest starred on Smallville back in the day.
Yep. Seems like a cool person that appreciates everything.
Never knew Alex Winter was so theatre based. Love listening to your podcasts because you seem to really just try to have real conversations with your guest. Keep keeping it real!

How are you today? I hope you keep enjoying my movies,so where are you from? And which of my films would you say is your favorite??
Did Hudson get it after they learned who he was? 🧐
No, they cast Arsenio Hall. The one I liked was Lorenzo Music. He was the voice of Garfield and Venkman. When he passed on the 90's, Bill Muuray voiced Gardfield in the CG movies. It was like everything came full circle.
Bill and Ted was such a big part of my childhood that just hearing Alex Winters voice puts me in a good mood
I had a buddy growing up who looked just like him. Winter has one of the most recognizable faces in Hollywood.
There's something comforting about the Wyld Stallions still being close friends in real life. Great interview!
I'm so glad you mentioned right at the beginning that Mr Winter was living in London for a time. I live in London and for a period of timewhenever I went into the centre of town I'd see this man who looked just like Alex Winter walking down the street or coming out of a shop.

He was such a pleasure to meet this past weekend. Great guy!
His part may have been small, but I dug what he did with Lost Boys. Keifer and the boys, love that flick, never gets old
When I saw Alex Winter was on this week, I looked at my Bill and Ted Funko Pops (that are hanging out with my Neo, John Wick, Johnny Silverhand, Duke Kaboom and Smallville Funko Pops 🤣 ) and knew I would enjoy this episode.

Store owner isn't wrong. You have a great voice Rosie, and the way you work to normalize mental health discussions is great work!
Man I always thought Alex was such an awesome human being, but man, he's super intelligent too! Love this guy.

Such a soothing voice....Rosen-calm...Tuesday and Wednesday evenings I go to sleep listening to my 2 favorite podcasts.
I loved the energy of this interview. Both of them did great. Great conversation!
Wow! What a great interview. You can hear the positive outlook behind Alex's words. Thank you Alex and Michael. :)
I think we need to get Alex and Wil Wheaton in a blind discussion/read off. I think listening to the two of them going back and forth would be one of the most soothing things ever.
Will Wheaton is a right winge bag. I saw one interview with him and he is awful!

Amazing guest. Obviously, I didn't know Alex Winter, but a lot that came out of left field. Amazing stories. ❤❤
I was surprised Alex Winter is in Lost Boys he had such a small part in it but, he really is awesome.
I agree with that caller 100%. Love your take on mental health. Sure your bring it up ever time but it is actually important. So thank that caller for speaking for all of us!👍👏

I love the film Triple Cross with Yul Brynner...Great to see an awesome interview with Alex
Excellent! Lol Interview..such a nice guy so down to earth. Michael should get an award for all these great interviews.
I am really happy to learn that Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves are almost as close as Bill & Ted.
THIS HAS TO BE the most refreshing inspirational motivational push to be all you can be.
Enjoying listening to this episode episode. I am learning so much about Alex. Happy Tuesday!
I love the "Invited on a train on a really sweet track" metaphor.
Remember him in Death Wish 3
Absolute favorite podcast with Talkville. Thanks!!

Been loving Michael since I heard his podcast the first time. But knowing he's a Depeche Mode fan makes me love him more.

It's a total blast to do Shakespeare alone in my room. ❤️
Omg Amazing guest!!! Michael 💙🤘

Great interview 👍
Alex Winter is a very underrated actor - please go and watch the 1993 film 'Freaked' ... it is brilliant.
Again, Rosenbaum hits it out of the park with the guest. Not familiar with Winter, but dude is funny and these 2 had me LoL. And Keanu Reeves looks like he’s be cool, down to earth.
Same I had no idea he has acted since so young and that he has done anything other than lost boys & bill and ted😮shame on me!

Great show. Alex is one of the coolest. The Idiot Box on MTV was the best .
Great episode. What a thoroughly interesting bloke.
I was expecting his career to really take off. Like Keanu.
12:36 If you want to see one of the best child performances ever, I really recommend seeing, "Tiger Bay" with Haley Mills. She's absolutely awesome in it.
The Lost Boys is my favorite movie!
Thanks for reminding me that I still haven't seen Bill&Ted 3 yet 😅 about to fix that.
How are you today? I hope you keep enjoying my movies,so where are you from? And which of my films would you say is your favorite??
