I've been getting tons of requests for a detailed curtain bang tutorial for the holidays so here it is! I know a lot of us are cutting our own hair at home these days because of the lockdowns, and pandemic so I thought, why not show you how to cut your curtain bangs step by step. This is how I use to cut curtain bangs for a lot of my clients when I was working in the salon and it's a fool proof way to get the perfect curtain bang every time!

I did it guys!!!!! It looks so good I love it. Make sure you take your time and use good scissors. When I did the first straight cut I cut my hair a bit lower than my chin bc it’ll give you room for mistake so it’s not too short. The most important part for me was blending it at the end with the longer sections of my hair it makes such a big difference. Also my hair was somewhat styled (smooth blow out hairstyle) before I started which really helped me see what it would actually look like. Just trust the process lol I was stressed until the very end and sleeked my hair into a pony tail bc I didn’t think it looked that good and then after a while I took it out and fixed my parting and it looked so much better once all my hair was blended all together (if that makes any sense?)
Tried it myself and love the results! I’d say personally to go a few inches longer than the chin so you can still tuck behind ears/keep it in a ponytail if you want and to give yourself room for any mistakes with the feathering, but overall this was surprisingly easy to follow!

I’ve been coming back to this video for a year and a half each time my curtain bangs need a trim. I know the steps by now, but the ease at which you take us through them gives me that extra boost of confidence I need! I still get nervous! Lol 💕

Draw your eyebrows and see where the arch is, just draw your brows as natural as possible while having an arch, not a huge arch but enough to see it and then when you’re done just take off the brow pen stuff (I forgot what it was called😅)
This was the best tutorial I’ve seen for long curtain bangs. I just followed it along and I am IN LOVE with how it turned out 💕 thank you so much.
She explained everything so well . I've never cut my own bangs ever but it turned out so easy and it looks great which I was not expecting honestly. I did cut a little longer than chin length just to be safe and then cut little by little until I thought it was good.

Someone else just said that they style their bangs and it looks good as long as she Styles her hair. Do you also find you must blow it out in order for it to look good or can you wear this look in different ways and it still flows well?

Don’t want to judge anybody, but so many hairdressers don’t know how to cut this kind of bangs. I went to a hairdresser with a strong idea of what I want and around ten photo references. I paid 35£ and She made me an awful bangs. I haven’t noticed anything at first because she curled it to the sides, but when I came home and washed my hair in the evening - I saw the disaster. I’ve had to take the scissors and make it look more decent and even I with no experience did it better. I’ve been upset for a whole week and then I decided to follow your instructions- and now I have beautiful curtain bangs that I love!! And they’re so easy to style!!! So thank you for this!!

This has been my go-to turorial whenever my bangs need a trim! Loved how in depth the tutorial is but easy to follow for a beginner.
Followed your tutorial and my bangs came out so well. The feathering technique was very helpful. I chickened out a bit and cut them longer than I wanted but I might trim them shorter soon and add some layers into the fronts of my hair. Thank you so much 🥺💜

These aren’t curtain bangs. If you ask for curtain bangs, they will be shorter.
@Reeann Barnes I do this on my clients all the time. It’s literally just a long soft face framing bang that falls below your cheekbones. Make sure you tell her to disconnect it from your front angle, so it is more of a bang.
I do currently have curtain bangs on myself and they are a way shorter style.

OMG thank you for the tutorial I did it! I had bangs but like full eyebrow length bangs and they grew out cuz of quarantine and they kinda already had a “curtain bang outline” and it was rlly easy but when they grow out again I’ll definitely make sure to follow this tutorial again ❤️
This was a super easy tutorial to follow. I have never cut my hair before and still was able to do this easily. I actually cut mine a bit shorter since my hair is quite a bit shorter than hers, it’s a little past my shoulders, so I cut my hair level with my top lip. The tutorial still worked the same and looks great! Really happy I didn’t have to go out and spend money to get my bangs cut and now I can trim them at home!
