Can't wait to see a video with it running.

I love watching these videos and learning more about rotary engines! I'd like to hear more on the timing differences between housings and how that affects performance or what works best for the application if there is any noticeable differences

You still have to fabricate the exhaust however my buddies in Ohio that are making my hybrid exhaust manifold ar working to create a jig in order to sell these made to order. Hopefully it's done in the next week or so

Are they going to do an N/A manifold?

@Scott9181970 yes, my car is as close to stock as it could be. I'm running a factory 6 port manifold (once I confirm that fd rx7 oil injectors fit), NA Exhaust manifold using all 5 ports. I am hoping to revisit the exhaust manifold this coming winter to test a few designs (1 fancy tubular style, 1 center port blocked, and 1 with all side ports blocked)

Hello kyle, I am a follower of yours, I congratulate you for your videos, you can help me out of this doubt, the water seals of the Renesis housings can be installed in the 12a housings, greetings

    nice info,I like this hybrid

This is all very interesting but would love to see the results- dyno and driven of a hybrid turbo motor. Also using the older housings means only one oil injection port per housing so premixing is a must I guess.

Can you run it on a standard rx8 ecu in an so we can see if if it is possible

It should be with mazda edit or versatuner, but love to see how "far off" it is.

Yes we have a few of them over here. In an N/A form they do NOT make more hp that a stock port Renesis, but with a turbo the potential is there.

Is there any differrence when choosing between an s1 renesis or an s2 to build an hybrid

Would it be worth doing semi pp in a turbo setup of this motor?

Does the gsl-se rotor housing accept the rx8 oil injectors? And would i run into issues if i run the omp and the oil lines into the gsl-se housings

  • @vladkruglov7719

what if there was a cast exhaust manifold for this setup that bolted to OEM RX8 placement, then i think more of these builds would be viable since not many people are into fabrication of new parts. one thing is NA power, other is a roper turbo exhaust manifold for this setup, imagine a off the shelf bolt on option, now that would be amazing

Hey mate. Will the renisis brap without bridgeporting irons? Just using gsl-se housings?

Does using the high flow hybrid motor have a negative effect on fuel economy? Does it make a boosted engine more reliable and last longer than a boosted non hybrid?

    • @owenschicker9211
      @owenschicker9211 4 місяці тому

The answer would be yes to both. Peripheral exhaust ports will reduce fuel economy because of more overlap but they also get ride of the heat better and therefore would improve reliability. If adding a turbo fuel economy is not the primary goal but removing heat from the engine is, as you are creating more heat within the engine by running higher pressure and burning more fuel to increase power output.

What we would enjoy much more is actually dropping that engine in a car and getting some numbers.

In NA form, this motor won't produce more power than a stock Renesis.

    • @KyleMohanRacing

I think it should have a higher peak HP based on past results and testing of 1986 to 91 6 port engines. They also benefit from increasing the volume. Obviously it's a top end gane with performance or racing in mind.

It will, however, likely last longer under duress, with less iron warpage.
