The second lever for the blade lift is draft control. It sets a desired compressive force on the top link, and will automatically raise and lower the blade to maintain that force. Draft control is great and will make using the blade much easier.
Edit: be sure to wear the seatbelt. Even with the cab, you can find yourself crushed in a rollover.

Heavy Equipment Tech here, love the channel. Tractors like these are great. A few things to note though with owning bigger equipment. Grease the every-living shit out of any zerks and joints you can and keep up with regular maintenance. It's fairly easy and it avoids colossal bills later on, The manufacturers specs aren't just there because they're greedy. And lastly, Read the operating book front to back, or at least the emergency and safety procedures. You wouldn't believe how common it is for people to get killed or injured because they don't know about the glass tearaway seals or proper high pressure disconnect procedures.

My son is 10 years old, I’m teaching him that he needs to put in the work if he really wants something. Ironically, I had to take him off UA-cam content and teach him how to work on cars and use tools. He’s really enjoying it and likes hanging out with me. A lot of this younger generation want everything handed to them. You’re a good role model for the younger generation Ryno.

A offset flail mower might be what you should be looking at. Especially with the adjustability you have with the 3 point hitch it would be easy to cut along your fence lines/ditches.

as someone who works at a Deere dealership some pointers. GREASE GREASE GREASE for the love of god grease the machine, keep up on maintenance (including air filters!). lastly throttle it up when you work and you should not notice regens since you should be burning off everything, if you just half throttle then it will bog down and make you do a full regen and it wont move.

I definitely wish I'd gotten a bigger Kubota back in the day and regret not ordering it with a backhoe and the 3rd function and rear remotes. A cab would be sweet too. I added the hydraulics to my tractor recently and it really wasn't bad just time consuming trying to nicely route the wires and hoses etc. The extra hydros are definitely a game changer tho. I can't leave mine alone either I've added tons of lights and storage etc. Ammo cans make awesome toolboxes!

That solar w/battery setup is Exactly what you needed. Super stoked you got it.
You may need to adjust solar input or battery count.
    Considerations:
If using during the day when solar is available try to get enough panles to acomadate average watt usage, plus what you need to recoup overnight usage wattage.
Example you need to recover 3000w (3kw) from overnight use and want to use a fan @ 250 but only for 1/3 of the day the formula would be
    Day use> 250/3=84wh
Overnight recoupe> 3000/9=333wh (9 = shotest day hrs in LA)
    *Total panel aray size> 84+333=417watts*
If you want to wing it heres the short of it.
If the battery isnt charging back up between the periods of use, get another panel.
If you want it to last longer from sundown to the next day get more battery or curb usage.

San Joaquin has been in our town for years! I actually work down the street from their Wasco location, and when my dad serviced newholland and kubota, berchtold equipment was basically right around the corner. They actually hooked my dad up with a signed ertl collectible (signed by the designer) allis chalmers that we still have to this day. Good group of guys, that stand their ground in what turned into the crappiest part of town. Glad to see they helped you!

Kioti are a great option for the money and availability. Only things you may have issues with is long term repair work, we had issues when our local dealer went out of business and couldn’t find someone to get us going when our trans had issues. (Update) 2 years later it’s still broke). Then also resale is not the greatest on them. However if this is a machine that you plan on keeping for many years which I’m sure you are then who really cares right. All in all great purchase and like you I want buy it without a cab. Why spend that much money and not have it all. What’s $8k more to be comfortable year round and no bugs and dust

Can't wait to see what you do with your new tractor! We ended up going with a new Case 110C combined with a 15' bush hog shredder. We also had the front end attachment plate adapted to fit bobcat attachments that way we can use everything the skid steer does

Very cool. My only suggestion would be use a external voice recorder and do a overlay when using 3d cam.

You are going to use that tractor way more than think, especially with that grapple. You'll wonder how you went so long without one. Money well spent. I don't regret buying mine, 2 years ago. Just last week we got a new couch and I got the old one outside, went and got my tractor with grapple, grabbed the couch and took it out to the burn pile a 100 yards away.
