hows Belfast these days mate, was over there last year february, missing it already. from Derry but defo slf not undertones, you know what i mean Jake ;-)
Just a long shot hoping Jake Burns reads this. I watched Fiona Donahoe,s appeal on "Anything goes with James English" Her son was 14 year old son was murdered in Belfast under strange circumstances. (Too many johnny,s) I wondered if would you consider doing a gig in Belfast, to help her charity. I,m looking forward to seeing SLF in Sunderland on 16,7,22. I first seen your band in 1982 at Sunderland polytechnic, I was 17 at the time, I was about to join the Army but Tin soldiers woke me up. Thanks Jake 😎 Each and every one of us holds a key to what makes a difference.
Thanks so much! Yeah definitely, got a couple more on the way this week. If you go on my channel theres a cover of 'Sad Eyed People' too if you haven't already seen it. Be sure to subscribe and you'll get notification when I upload more :)
Thanks for watching! Yeah quite possibly, theres been a few people asking. Will see what I can do, sure I could put together a tab/chords if not though
Also in the amazing bit from 2.00 (on the record) am sure there is a bit of fancy double guitar but you've only got the one here. It's hard to hear but I notice when I play it on some stereos in stands out more than others
I know exactly which bit you mean, basically the second guitar plays the same part but at a higher pitch. There was a couple of little bits I skipped, purely because I'm still getting the hang of editing with more than one guitar haha. Well spotted though!
Not at all, it's good to hear from you! From what I can gather Henry plays the opening single note melody which reappears later in the song too. Not 100% though, there's limited live footage of this one from back in the day. Thanks for commenting!
Thanks man! I'm using a vox ac30 clean with a dimension c chorus pedal for the melody bits then pushed the amp into natural overdrive for the rhythm parts. Be sure to subscribe if you haven't already, more on the way!
That's Brilliant ! Where do you learn the SLF stuff as not much on to lessons for SLF on You Tube and I'd like to learn some tracks on the Guitar - Tin Soldier is my Fav
Nicely done, but the part coming out of the middle eight is played on the off beat. Excellent, though!
Thanks Jake, really appreciate the message. Just listened back to the original recording and no idea how I missed that, thanks for the tip!

@@as3cs3 Yeah I'm like that with this one too, timeless track. Back to front is another one I obsess over haha
that's interesting@@mdcguitaras Back To Front is a track I loved but have sort of forgotten about
awesome. sorry for asking again but as this is a 2 guitar video it seems relevant... what would Henry be playing? lol

Thanks for this Michael. Any chance of a Talkback cover?
Brilliant cover. What amp and effects are you using? you've nailed this one again.
