25y ago when I come to the US from an ex communist country if someone was to tell me that this will be the conversation here in 2024 I would of never believed it…and to top it all off that my own parents would be voting for it …insane time to be alive

I'm sympathetic to your point Matt, about shutting down any encampments on a college area or takeovers of a building. However, I work at a college, and there's this delicate thing that you're dealing with kids here, kids who are legally adults, but still, you really want to avoid being heavy-handed. Using force is not only going to look real bad, but you don't want to hurt the kids. Now at some point you have to forcibly remove them, and they finally did at Columbia. But to come in on day 1 and do that is probably wrong.

The Knicks are not contenders, Bill. They look like they'll win a first-round series.

Noone wants to talk about the real problem. Republican voters who hear that and would put him right back into office cus of inflation

There is no inflation. True inflationary periods come with flat or declining profits and a weak stock market. This is just price gouging, And there is nothing the the President, whoever he or she might be, can do about inflation. The high prices are not responding to the Feds raising interest rates, because the higher prices are not a result of inflation. They are result of lack of competition in markets because for 30 years there has been no effective anti trust enforcement and nothing but mergers and acquisitions, wiping out all price competition. Prices can be set wherever the producers feel like setting them.

Unless I heard it from Trump on social media, everything taken from that Time article should be taken with a grain of salt

@karlstrauss2330 Trump supporters are happy with the 80 minute interview that Trump willingly gave, stands by, and isn't backtracking on. So these comments sound like people who know the things he openly says he's planning are unacceptable or uneeded from a U.S. president, and are currently in the denial stage of losing any lingering belief in him. Of course people who fully agree have no desire to downplay the veracity of commemts he stands by or any wish to deflect from them.
