  • In this video we will be taking an in-depth look at the Knack Series 2 Medium Expandable Knack Pack. After my original unboxing video I have had a chance to test this out for about a month and I will be walking through what it feels like to pack the bag out and how it holds up in real-world usage.
    What do you think of the Series 2 Knack? How do you think it compares to the Series 1?

    One of my fav channels for backpack reviews. Keep up the good work! Will this backpack stand upright by itself, without leaning against anything? Nomatic backpacks do and it’s such a helpful product feature.

      Thank you for watching and for the support! Unfortunately it doesn’t stand up too well on its own when it’s compressed, but it does a little better when it’s expanded out. Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer about the bag!:)

    Awesome video as always! I recently picked up the Aer Duffle Pack 2 at a great price after watching your review and I can’t wait to use it when I’m able to travel more :)

      Also I was wondering, does the Duffel Pack 2 have strap keepers?

      Thank you for watching and I’m glad the videos have been helpful! I hope you enjoy using the duffel pack 2 a lot! And yes the one I got a little while back came with some elastic bands on the straps to help keep them more neat:)

    I love this bag. I’ve bought both, I MUCH prefer the updated series 2. It’s much more secure with the now lockable admin area. It’s also much sleeker and less bulky than the series 1 bag. For those who want the triangle, top, and bottom zippered pockets you still have series 1. But for those like me who want more secure access compartments and (finally) a hidden pocket and a sleeker look, here is series 2.

    Great video. I have the series 2 and like it very much. One small con is that the zipper pulls could be a bit bigger or at least have holes to add custom pulls.

    Thanks for the follow up on this bag. This is definitely one of the best hybrid travel/daily carry bags. One minor gripe is the side carry handle isn't centered, which makes for an awkward carry when packed out. But overall this bag does everything very well.

    Ohh it looks soo sleek.
    Not gonna lie, the missing shoe-pocket, quick access pocket, and not having hipbelt is a bummer.

      Thank you for watching! I definitely like the sleeker look, and I agree it’s unfortunate they had to leave off some of those features, but Knack is pretty good about listening to feedback so hopefully some of those things will be in a future version!:)

    Hi, great reviews! I watched your videos and I am deciding between this, tortuga outbreaker laptop and aer travel pack 2 small. I am looking for backpack that can edc for business and some air travel. Did you find any of them uncomfortable with increasing weight by any chance?

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  3 роки тому +1

      Thank you for watching and I’m glad the videos have been helpful! Tough choice between all of those! The most comfortable IMO will be the outbreaker followed by the Aer and then the knack. The knack isn’t uncomfortable it just doesn’t have the same level of padding and support as the other two, when you expand and fully pack the knack I can see there being some fatigue on the shoulders if you’re carrying it like that for a longer time but for moving from the airport to hotel and such I think it works well. For the most versatility the knack will be a good option as it works a little better as a daily bag than the other two and it can hold a good amount more as a travel bag. Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer:)

    Hello! First of all, thank you for all your detailed review videos. I have recently found your channel and literally binged on most of your videos. With that being said, I am torn between the nordepack and the knack bag 2 medium. Would you have a recommendation over the other? I will mainly use it for EDC for work but like to have the flexibility to make it a weekend trip bag as well. Curious to hear your thoughts. Thanks again for your hard work :)

      Thank you for watching and for the positive feedback! I’m glad the videos have been helpful! Both bags are really solid, overall I prefer the look, comfort and organizational layout of the knack bag. However, I feel like the materials on the nordepack are a little more rugged and weather resistant. Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer about the bags!:)

    Hi and thanks for yet another great review. i am interested in purchasing this bag but i am concerned about the resistance to scratch of the faux leather at the front/base of the bag. Can either you or an owner kindly comment on the resistance to scratch of the faux leather at the front&base of the bag as to how easily it gets and shows scratches upon use? Thanks!

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  3 роки тому

      Thank you for watching and I’m glad the video was helpful! Overall the faux leather has held up well so far and hasn’t shown any scratches, but it does feel more delicate than the rest of the exterior and I have been very careful when putting it down and picking up off rougher areas. Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer about the bag!:)

    Do you feel the lack of hip straps when expanded and packed out? Seems like it could benefit from having removable hip straps. Do you think it's possible to attach removable hip belts from other bag manufacturers to the bottom D rings?

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  3 роки тому +1

      Thank you for watching and good questions! I personally don’t mind the lack of a hip belt and normally wouldn’t use one for a bag of this size even when expanded, but I could see how it might be helpful as the bag starts to get a little heavier. I think there are a few hip belts from other manufacturers that could potentially attach to the d rings but it would have to be a pretty slim waist strap and I don’t think it would add too much extra support. Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer about the bag!:)

    How does this compare to the Minaal Carry-on 3.0?

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  3 роки тому +2

      Thank you for watching! I haven’t had a chance to try out the 3.0 but based on my experience with the minaal 2.0, I would say the minaal feels a little more rugged it has better laptop protection and I like it’s minimal aesthetic but overall I prefer the series 2 knack as it just provides a lot more versatility in terms of organization IMO and it can work well as an edc or travel bag:)

    • @dannypacks

      Thank you for watching and definitely a tough choice! Do you still have both this and the nomatic travel? Any chance I can get some side by side pics? Volume wise, the nomatic is smaller (compressed). Curious how much smaller it looks.
      I'm looking for a EDC for business that I can also use for 3 to 5 days on travel.

    This or the Aer travel pack 2 small. Help!

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  3 роки тому +1

      Thank you for watching and definitely a tough choice! Although the travel pack 2 small is a little more comfortable and feels more ruggedly built, the knack works a little better as a daily bag (IMO) and it also provides more space for when you want to use it for travel so due to that versatility I would probably lean towards the knack but both are really great bags! :)

      @@dannypacks I ended up going with and ordering the Knack series 2 yesterday! It fits my use case better as I would mostly be using it as an EDC and would like to use it as a bag for weekend long trips from time to time. And the Knack seemed perfect and had less cons than other expansion bags I was looking at. Thanks for your review and comment!
