  • During a sabbatical, Alex Pang suddenly found himself to be much more productive than he usually was. When he started reading about the science of rest, he discovered that finding a balance between work and relaxation is the ultimate recipe for a valuable life.

    There are health benefits of just laying down without sleeping. It makes me feel so rested and relaxed.

      I've found it to be much more than just the health benefits. After even just five minutes of relaxing the mind by shutting off external stimuli as much as possible, it's possible to emerge with noticeably improved mental acuity.

    I've learned that when I'm sick, the best way to get well is to medicate and sleep, I'm a person that doesn't require alot of sleep, but as I get older I have found out that I need at least one day a week to just let it rip and get much sleep as my body and mind needs

    Surprisingly, trying to rest, understanding its importance and benefits, makes me pressured to rest. Makes me wonder if I’m correctly resting.
    Which in turn isn’t really resting.
