My son, Callan, sent me this video some years ago. I can see why he was so inspired by it. RIP Doug, thanks for all you gave to this world. May your legacy live on forever.
i know Im asking the wrong place but does any of you know a method to get back into an Instagram account? I was stupid lost the account password. I would love any help you can give me
@Rex Brandon i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm in the hacking process now. Takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
What a truly beautiful mission in Dougs life. Some of those areas of Chilean Patagonia are the most spectacular places I've ever been; truly wild. Brings a smile to my face to see the work continuing to be realised after his passing. There is however still much to be done. The world needs more business people like Doug.
Having spent three months traveling through the Patagonian wilderness, I was overcome, overcome with great fear for these wild places being lost. I was fortunate enough to hike a ton of the Patagonia national park and let me tell you, Douglas and Kris have done something that is truly incredible. I am forever grateful for his legacy.
I had heard of Doug Tompkins and his amazing work before going to Patagonia in 2016 however I didn't know he died. It was in Patagonia I got to hear this awful news. Patagonia amazed me in so many levels. True beauty of nature. It's people like Doug that preserve the good on mother Earth.
What an outstanding legacy and contribution Doug and Chris and their national counterparts have given us! I feel very grateful that people with this kind of vision are still among us.
C’est très réconfortant et encourageant de voir qu’il existe des personnes animées par la protection de la nature , des animaux,de notre monde si beau …
What a great Spirit to have blessed the planet. Let's continue to change the paradigm of exploitation, desecration and neglect to love of land, it's animals & plant / vegetation life- to be stewards and protectors of Mother Gaia and her splendor.
It concerns me that these parks were given back to their countries. Those societies are light years away from Doug's existential zip code. Hoping for the best.
It is with people like Douglas Tompkins that makes me ask the question: will the billions of Chinese and Indians ever be able to produce such an individual in this millenia? If not, then what good is our progress?
You a filled with the idea of only the white man can care about the environment! There were many efforts in chile and argentina to preserve la patagonia , the only thing Doug did was buy a big chunk of land and say hey now is a national park and you cannot do nothing about . Democracy out the window for all natives of the land!
This guy had a hand in the origins of North Face, Patagonia, and Espirit. What kind of illuminati shyt is that?! Hahaha jk... but I can see why the Chileans were suspicious at first
RIP Doug! Thank you and Kris for all your work

Doug was not only great guy but inspired and still inspires us so much. He shows that we all can make a difference.

Very inspiring! What a vision! And what an awesome life he had!
What a legend. He did it all. He had it all. But most of all he treasured the bounty of nature. And he spent it all on his believe.
Doug did great things. Don't feel small next to that. Do the things you do. Try to do them well. Continue to do the things you do well. Repeat.
Thank you for a kind and simple message of encouragement. Helping each other along the path is a blessing.
Salute to Señor Douglas!
