When I was a kid playing in my first rock band in the 1960s, all the young guitarists were trying to copy the guitar solo on “You Really Got Me” by Dave Davies of The Kinks and the solo on “From Home” by Chris Britton of the Troggs. I’ve always loved this tune. And I love that riff with the octaves.
B side of "Wild Thing" here in the UK. We used to play this at the local youth club after we had played the A side about six times in a row. Reg sure knew how to write great songs. The comment about them which says "they were so far behind the music scene they were in front" sounds true when you hear tracks like this. The world was a much better place for the addition of Reg Presley and Ronnie Bond. There are so many songs that Reg never gets full credit for. Check out tracks such as "Cousin Jane" and the much later classic "Feels Like A Woman". I miss you both.
