Here's a better solution, Jack and Ashi could've destroyed Aku in the future rather than go back to the past. That way Ashi would still exist and they can make love together
"His evil has taken everything I've ever loved. All I have left are memories. I do not want you to become just a memory." After all of the suffering Jack endured fate would not let him just escape the harm Aku did to him. Going back to the past meant erasing the future, erasing Ashi.
Well considering Jack erased everyone from.existence he helped in the future, maybe losing Ashi is the Gods way of teaching him the error of removing from the past, the agent that allowed them all to be born. Killing Aku didn't just remove Ashi from existence, it removed EVERYONE from existence that Aku's actions helped be born.
@@thehighestorder2868 And after a thousand years of Aku ruling the planet with an iron fist there is not a single person on earth whose birth wasn't influenced by Aku's actions, except maybe the aliens that recently migrated there. Aku is too influential a figure to remove from the timeline and not have huge repercussions by the time Jack was sent forward to. So yes. EVERYONE Jack met, befriended and helped in the future will now not be born because Jack decided to kill Aku in the past. Infact the only person Jack helped was the Nordic warrior that Aku encased in crystal who eventually became the rock monster. Because now Aku will no longer attack his village.
Dammmmmnnnn!!! I haven't even watched all the episodes but I was in the middle of where Jack and Ashi was kissing and in love. Outta curiosity, I looked up how she died and this is how. Poor Jack. Aku finally dies, which is what he wanted but at the cost of his woman. That's crazy.
Here's the problem with this and with the whole "going back to the past" thing. If you want to abide by time travel laws, then Jack should have disappeared too. Without Aku, there would be no Ashi, yes, but without Ashi, Jack would not have gone back to the past to kill Aku, meaning Aku now does exist, meaning Ashi exists, meaning Jack can go back to kill Aku, etc. See what I mean? It's a time loop. One can't exist without the other. A paradox. What they SHOULD have done, if they wanted to abide by time travel laws, was have Jack and Ashi arrive BEFORE Past Jack was sent to the future, have both Jack's kill Aku and then Present Jack and Ashi disappear, erasing the whole show with Past Jack being a-okay and going back to free his family. That doesn't sound so good, does it? Just erasing Jack and everything he went through. Well then, in that case, they show should have went by Multiverse Theory. Changes to the past create a new future, but the original future still exists, it's just inaccessible, therefor there are no paradoxes, and thus Ashi can exist, since the future she came from still exists, just as a parallel timeline.
I finished the show a little bit ago so correct me if I'm wrong, but we didn't even know about Ashi until season 5, nor did Jack, so it wouldn't make sense that the 4 other seasons were him trying to go back to the past to kill Aku for Ashi. He was trying to get back to the past to erase Aku so the future where Aku ruled would not happen. If that's the case, then that paradox wouldn't have happened.
I would just go off multiverse time travel shenanigans. Think DBZ. Trunks goes into the past to save his future. He enters another multiverse, and effectively saves their future but his original timeline is set in stone since the events have already happened. Nothing could change what had already happened in the future timeline since it just left into a different multiverse. (Cell also does this stuff too).
Yeah and multiverse theory makes the most sense and might actually be real as well. I think all time travel fiction should follow that, but back to the future popularized that fading people thing for dramatic effect and we can see the confusion here.
