In case you're new here, this is the Canadian model! The 360 cam, heated steering wheel, and parking sensors are NOT available in the USA on any trim level of the CX-50 hybrid. Hope this helps :D Also I forgot to mention only the 9 and 3 positions of the wheel are heated... the top and bottom get no love.
Based Mazda hinting where to grip the wheel. Most people won't realize that tho sadly... This is another case where the Canadian model is better. With Subarus you used to be able to get a loaded WRX with the manual. Today that's no more but they are still much cheaper in Canada than the US. It's weird.
No the Honda does not drive better , runs very rough and the quality of materials is so bad, all the doors rattle and is loud, only good thing about Honda is the engine. Cx50h beats both rav & crv
@@MrJman967 yes, but so does Honda and the new CR-V drives fantastically. Savagegeese praised it highly which really says something. AMD from The Car Care Nut has praised the hybrid system's simplicity and it also drives extremely well. The Toyota hybrid is efficient but very boring.
Look at this delusional honda fanboy. Your american wanna be suv is full of plastic and overpriced af. At least this cx50 has cooled front seats and also 360cam for canadian model. Oh not to mention the crv still has halogen rear turn signals. You should be ashamed of yourself for even praising honda
But your favourite crv is still inferior product. For $40k, it doesnt have 360 camera, cooled seats, led all around exterior and interior lightings, power folding mirros and full size panoramic roof. Stop comparing your crappy honda to Mazda. Impose your hondaism somewhere else kiddo
I’ve owned Mazdas (cars and SUVs) for the last 7+ yrs prior to switching to a CRV hybrid and while I love Mazdas, this CX-50 hybrid doesn’t beat the CRV hybrid in terms of overall packaging (space, cargo & utility), resale value and refinement. This CX-50 has some features not found in CRV hybrid and will give that edge to Mazda but there are features I like in the CRV that Mazda doesn’t have. I’ve driven the CX-50 and suspension for me is too stiff (torsion beam rears) while CRV soaks up bumps well, and Toyota’s hybrid powertrain has changed the driving dynamics. Without Toyota’s hybrid system, Mazda is just very far behind on the hybridization game! Great attempt here by Mazda though with that partnership with Toyota!
I didn't experience this in the CX-50. In all drive modes at full throttle the engine would rev to it's max/most efficient RPM speed for acceleration and stay there without much, if any, movement. Not saying I love fake gear shifts either haha. Honda is doing their best with what they have though. Makes a difference.
Maintanance, repair and insurance costs make these new cars just too expensive. I'm hoping my 2011 RAV4 goes another 10 years. Still, if you're willing to pay for it, this looks really nice.
Great review. Personally I went with the Outlander PHEV. Roughly same price, but with the BC and Federal incentives it saved me some $$$, not to mention more power and space. Let's see if it lasts as long as these 2 competitors

it helps me become more depressed, thanks!
The Honda still still drive better but a Toyota powertrain in a Mazda is still more enjoyable than a Toyota powertrain in a Toyota.

Mazda makes some of the best driving cars on the market

Considering Mazda is much smaller company, they already chris-rock slapped honda in the face. If you like the crv then go away. This is not your place
CRV looks and feels like a Grandpa vehicle
CRV is ugly period. RAV4 is one of the ugliest. Stuck in the 90s. Mazda looks very luxurious
8:21 you can use Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in motion - just change in settings.
Ah thanks! Makes a lot more sense. Will correct the video.
Subscribed because HEY CANADA 🇨🇦
360 cam is only on Canadian models
Unfortunately, yes :/
We have to check for polar bears before getting out in the winter.
I believe if you drive it in normal mode, you'll get simulated shifts in the CX50/Rav4 hybrid as well.

nice review 😊
the battery pack is small, not supposed to full speed use, under 20mph only !

Good choice, I wasn't expecting much from the Outlander PHEV but it definitely was better than I thought. Just depends if you want to plug-in or not.
Pass on the eCVT. I love the existing stone reliable 6 speed.
Brutal seats make it unbuyable 😢
Noise is awful 😣
Honda CRV HYBRID #1 Topgun
Canada 🇨🇦 #1 Topgun country
So why are you watching Mazda video?
Unsubscribed because screw Canada 😂
