About "Lauren" Season 2:

A new WIGS watcher and am amazed at the programming! Blue was my favorite and now I'm hooked on Lauren. Heartbreakingly authentic. As an Army brat and living most of my life on or near the military, I know the dark underbelly that exists. This series should get much more acknowledgement for its portrayal of these characters.
So heartbreaking seeing Troian go through this, but she is an amazing actor! I'm very impressed
This series is turning out to be my favorite.
He sounds like a typical therapist..objective ...not leaning one way or the other...he is not there to coddle her but to her the facts and how she feels about them and what she is thinking etc...
pretty sad that when you want to protect you country from psychopaths, if you are female, guess what you have to protect yourself from your own country. you are willing to give your life for the military and country you are designed to protect. of course this happens to males too, just as horrifically...not sure why this contiues to be suppressed.
This series is fantastic definitely my favorite
The pace of the show is right on. You need time to digest the dialogue to fully appreciation the situation. Great acting by Jennifer; Troian; & Paul

Again, completely realistic. Not too many rape shows/movies have that. Not everything goes alright for a rape survivor afterwards. I wish so many more people are aware of that.
He did, but usually when somebody asks me something and I could tell they don't really want (or care, but I don't think that's the case here) to know the answer, I tell them what they want to hear. I'm not entirely sure if that's the case here, but it's the vibe I got. I also have an issue doctors/psychiatrists using drugs to solve these types of issues because the dugs do is hide the symptoms, not cure the problem. But that's a whole other topic lol Anyway, I'm rambling. I apologize.

The drugs don't help. In fact the drugs are probably one of the reasons we have such an alarming high rate of suicide amongst our enlisted. And the guilt of finding out you are not really fighting for anyone's freedom.

Kudos to her for not accepting the drugs ... My problems sometimes overwhelm me , but taking drugs Is Most OFTEN PROBLEMATIC IN ITSELF, and I personally think it's the mark of a weak person ...I DON"T WANT TO TAKE DRUGS unless absolutely necessary , For Ex. During Childbirth .
There's a Large number of addicts tht took drugs to "help with emotional Issues ". ANd are now attending Rehab .... Drugs are a dangerous risk to ttake with your life, and UNLESS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY , SHOULDN"T BE USED

she didn't want to talk about it because she's not the kind to "whine" and just talking about her feelings would feel like whining to her. doctors sometimes prescribe medicine when they should do full evaluations instead, but drugs to help the problem. you can't talk your way out of not sleeping, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts. drugs help restore the balance in hormones so that you can be rational and THEN get the therapy that is needed to recover. just prescribing drugs is the problem.

This is a great movie, and Troian Bellisario and Jennifer Beals are both wonderful actresses. But now I'm on episode 7 of season 2 and so far, it just looks like s repeat of season 1. What gives?

Here's the problem with Lauren's husband...
Sgt. Mitch Cook died heroically saving the lives of his fellow soldiers, which makes him different from how many people in the army? Seriously, there's a whole cemetery in Washington full of these guys. Heck, my grandpa's buried there! So what makes Mitch so special? He never even received a purple heart, or any medal for heroism!
Even dead, Mitch could be an interesting character. But there's nothing in this story that makes him relevant to the audience, apart from 'he was Lauren's husband.' Also, why would you tell Kayleen that Daddy doesn't exist? Wouldn't you rather tell her that Daddy died being a hero?
This needs some serious expansion next season...
