For those who are disappointed about the new G note7, I think this device has been dedicated for the ones who love Galaxy Note family. I know, they are almost similar talking about processor, QHD amoled, RAM, O.S, but these few things (S pen, bigger display, etc...) are what make it perfect for any reason to the persons who love taking notes or whatever. I have a S7 edge and I feel fine using this one. By the way, nice work with your video, Supersaf!
Gorilla glass 5 + 32GB extra internal space are nice improvements. On the opposite , the iris scanner or the ability to write on always on display are just marketing. The major difference is the s pen which for some users is very important but for others is totally unimportant. I personally would prefer the S7 edge because of its smaller size and the bigger battery.

fast charging, battery pack, are some solutions! iris scanner is awesome... not really important when there's fingerprint. but n7 have 64gb base storage and you can adjust the resolution in n7 hence maybe more battery backup

Sold my Note5 recently, and purchased the S7 Edge. I had a chance to checkout the Note7 but wasn't overly impressed with it. The S-Pen is a nice feature, but I didn't use it often. It came down to ergonomics, the S7 was more comfortable to hold. Internal memory wasn't a factor. I store my pics, and music on a sd card. Both phones are excellent devices, it's a matter of personal preference.
+drsnowmon I have the exynos and I can wi-fi call.... it really depends on your phone company not the phone. samsung pay is only for US just like the snapdragon, thats the region not the processor

The fact that they have the same camera module doesn't necessarily mean they will give the same results. Image processing in the software could be tweaked, and since the Note7 has a new camera app, they might have fiddled with the image processing.
I've never got the chance yet to play with the Galaxy s7 Note, but I upgraded to the s7 Edge from an HTC One M8 and I couldn't be more impressed. I like large screens, and it doesn't look like there is a huge difference between the Note and Edge versions of the Galaxy 7 to me. I do like the pen, so I kind of wish I could've held out for the Note, but my M8 died so I needed a new phone ASAP.
as an illustrator i do, i use my Note5 for sketches on-the-go but since the note7 battery issues i think ill change my scheme. Maybe i'll move to the S7 edge and i'll get an iPad pro 9.7 with the penpineappleapplepen. not sure yet.
I am getting S7 Edge for the follow reasons - cheaper (I buy the handset only. I dont do 2 year contracts as they are much more expensive - I do 30 Sim only deals - I am based in the UK), it is a similar size - slightly smaller, has a more powerful battery, has the same processor/camera as the Note 7, I never use my S Pen in my Note 4 (which I got in April 2015), Iris scanner means nothing to me as I dont even use my current finger print scanner etc. The choice is yours. The S7 Edge only came out worldwide in March so it is very recent. Both are great but it depends on your economic situation, what you currently have and what you will do with the phone. As long as you dont be a sheep and get an iphone. Where I work, every woman has an iphone. It is truly a girls phone. I am guy BTW.

Great video comparison. I've been using the 7Edge about two weeks ago and I love it! In my book, ur videos are super awesome because they're concise, very informative and super-well crafted. I considered getting the Note and size was the ultimate factor with choosing the 7Edge. Yes, the S-pen was very alluring, however I'm thrilled with my 7Edge. SuperSaf, my question to u is getting help with setting up my 7edge. There are plenty of new features when compared with my old phone, the Motorola Droid Maxx HD. I've yet to initiate the fingerprint scanner, side apps and can't see how to put widgets on my home screens. Have u created these type of tuturials or can u suggest other creators who do a good job? I'm so glad that I went with the OnePlus 3 this year... With all major specs being either identical or competitive enough, the extra $450-490 in my pocket and no taxes are what make the OnePlus 3 so awesome... I almost have enough for a second 1080 gpu!!

am using s7 edge for the past three months, ive planned to change to note 7 but yesterday i went to showroom to see the note 7 demontration model i hate that it looks more like a box. It is lite weight than note 5 so it seems to slip more often while using it. And for me i ve decided to stay in the s7 edge since its the best android smart phone till now. I love s7 edge
Lol so basically nothing different. But if you don't want to waste your time watching, here's what he mentions 1. Bigger screen a whole .02" 2. S pen that translates highlighted text, I'm sure you can find an app for that for any other phone 3. Uses usb C but from what I read, it will charge the same as quick charge 2.0 (Even though it's SUPPOSE to charge faster since it is USB C.. But I guess the up side is it's reversible.) 4. Smaller battery but only by 100mah.. Paired with bigger screen... Makes me wonder Both are awesome phones, but I keep hearing people mentioning the battery degradation which worries me.
I've had the note 2 and note 4 and went with the galaxy s7 edge. I was sick of the size and never used the s pen. so far the s7 edge is amazing and too me a lot more comfortable to hold and easier to text. I have my tablet for my bigger screen. both great phones but I like the edge 7 better

Some are saying Note 7 is S7E without S-Pen. But I am compelled to take notice: 1. Gorilla Glass 5 2. Iris Scanner 3. GIF file creation on-the-fly ....I feel like I'm missing stuff, but yeah...there more missing in the S7E than JUST an S-Pen. I'm just being technically correct. Some people will say they don't need the aforementioned items, but it's still worth noting (no pun intended) that there's more than just the S-Pen that's missing from the S7E.
Maaaan...I would LOVE "Root" on the Note 7 at this stage. I presume you're referring to rooting the S7E to achieve some of these things. I root all my deviced, but I'm speaking on out-of-the-box experience stock. Do you know of any GIF creation software (on the fly) that works via root?
Yes and no as on scratch resistance the note 7 is actually 3 levels lower at a level 3-4 pick where as the s7 edge is at a 6-7 pick. however gorilla glass 5 has got a better shatter resistance to the s7 edge so there still equal.
Checked out a note 7 at Costco and for some reason it is smoother than my s7 edge when i did side by side comparison and mine just got factory reset recently so it ran new. i think there's more to the new look of touchwhiz maybe Sammy did some fine tuning as well.

Keep your Note 7 Samsung. I have 128GB SD card and still haven't filled half of it. Let's be real, how many people use the memo app? The gif creator is cool but not like I can't do same with my Note 4 with an app I can download, so not impressed.
i understand you and I am thinking the same, but you have to agree that the note 7 is definitely faster than the note 4 and the cameras are better too. Numbers aren't everything, apple is the best example for that

Upgrading from Note 5 for the removable storage options mainly.Not really a fan of edge technology on the Note 7 although it's not as pronounced as the Edge phone. Hopefully it'll be a well received marginal upgrade from my current Note 5.
I'll definitely be upgrading to the Note 7. I just wish that it has a removable battery. I'm not a big fan of the all metal frame. However, I do like the the metal sides of the Note 4. It looks a little too much like the IPhone.

I too have Note 4 but after much thoughts, I feel like going for Note 7 (black with black borders is a killer for me) . Yes, its processor & RAM are same as that of S7 Edge but its UI is more optimised. Plus, you gettin stylus & best looking smartphone! Price diff i guess will be at max 10% more than S7 Edge.
Yea I will really miss Spen if I go for S7edge, but now I can buy S7edge for 610$, Note 7 preorder price on ebay is 909$. And here is the question Do i need to pay extra 300$ for Spen and better design? (I have to mention that S7 edge design also gorgeous). im using note 4, its a great smart phone, its very versatile. the pen is definitely a game changer. There are some tasks which u can't do using ur finger. Marking a layout on a map, or precisely cropping a picture. I love my note 4 but its abit laggy now, cropping from a smart select will take 10 seconds to switch to Whatsapp if you are going to share it. Sadly note 7 didn't include the IR, it's small, but its convenient to used when i can't found the ac remote... But with the camera upgrade and the new features, im sure im gonna love the picture.... Also i dont need to bring camera on my holiday anymore, and note 7 is waterproof, that means a day at water park or beach wont be a hassle

Good 1st look comparisons there !!! however I have chosen to write a note because of your association with DBrand. After having seen many awesome tech reviews DBrand has managed to advertise themselves quite successfully through UA-cam. And my 2 experiences with them after biting the temptation pill has been horrible. It is a classic case of great product being owned by a sloppy set of people. They somehow seem to over promise and mostly under deliver through their 'robotic' service teams !!! So a small piece of advise for people outside the US and Canada ...read their promises well before putting your money. cheers!
my phone carrier only offers at 7 not the edge version I see no reason to upgrade from S7 to S7 Edge not that much of a difference for me would you agree can you live without the edge

I noticed in some comparisons that the video on the s7/edge was much shakier than the note 5. Have you noticed this? I wouldn't want to upgrade if that's going to be a problem on the note 7. Some people noticed greater oversharpening on the s7 shooter as well
I will get the Note 7, but I am disappointed that the battery, processor and ram did not improve on the S7. I am also disappointed they never implemented their new UFS storage. Like with the Note 5, Samsung didn't consider the consumer base that took a chance with the original Note in 2011. Oh well, I'll look to upgrade next year... might even switch to another manufacturer if this continues.

How can a downgrade in battery size be considered an improvement?
S7 edge has best battery life in the business as of now but Note 7 will last longer than the S7 edge because of better software optimization

software on the S7 Edge will be updated to be same as Note 7. Also, my Snapdragon variant with Superman ROM and super Kernel outlasts stock easily.

I prefer the SD version as well because it's the only variant that supports Samsung Pay, VoLTE, and most importantly WIFI calling

The fact that they have the same camera module doesn't necessarily mean they will give the same results. Image processing in the software could be tweaked, and since the Note7 has a new camera app, they might have fiddled with the image processing.

I've never got the chance yet to play with the Galaxy s7 Note, but I upgraded to the s7 Edge from an HTC One M8 and I couldn't be more impressed. I like large screens, and it doesn't look like there is a huge difference between the Note and Edge versions of the Galaxy 7 to me. I do like the pen, so I kind of wish I could've held out for the Note, but my M8 died so I needed a new phone ASAP.

I am getting S7 Edge for the follow reasons - cheaper (I buy the handset only. I dont do 2 year contracts as they are much more expensive - I do 30 Sim only deals - I am based in the UK), it is a similar size - slightly smaller, has a more powerful battery, has the same processor/camera as the Note 7, I never use my S Pen in my Note 4 (which I got in April 2015), Iris scanner means nothing to me as I dont even use my current finger print scanner etc. The choice is yours. The S7 Edge only came out worldwide in March so it is very recent. Both are great but it depends on your economic situation, what you currently have and what you will do with the phone. As long as you dont be a sheep and get an iphone. Where I work, every woman has an iphone. It is truly a girls phone. I am guy BTW.

In Australia, its way more than 10% difference in price between a Note 7 and S7 Edge. The Note 7 will be released on 19th Aug for $1349 and right now, you can get the S7 Edge for as little as $800. Chances are, the S7 Edge will probably drop down in price more after the 19th Aug.

In my book, ur videos are super awesome because they're concise, very informative and super-well crafted. I considered getting the Note and size was the ultimate factor with choosing the 7Edge. Yes, the S-pen was very alluring, however I'm thrilled with my 7Edge.
SuperSaf, my question to u is getting help with setting up my 7edge. There are plenty of new features when compared with my old phone, the Motorola Droid Maxx HD. I've yet to initiate the fingerprint scanner, side apps and can't see how to put widgets on my home screens. Have u created these type of tuturials or can u suggest other creators who do a good job?

I'm so glad that I went with the OnePlus 3 this year... With all major specs being either identical or competitive enough, the extra $450-490 in my pocket and no taxes are what make the OnePlus 3 so awesome... I almost have enough for a second 1080 gpu!!

i hate that it looks more like a box. It is lite weight than note 5 so it seems to slip more often while using it. And for me i ve decided to stay in the s7 edge since its the best android smart phone till now. I love s7 edge

But if you don't want to waste your time watching, here's what he mentions
1. Bigger screen a whole .02"
2. S pen that translates highlighted text, I'm sure you can find an app for that for any other phone
3. Uses usb C but from what I read, it will charge the same as quick charge 2.0 (Even though it's SUPPOSE to charge faster since it is USB C.. But I guess the up side is it's reversible.)
4. Smaller battery but only by 100mah.. Paired with bigger screen... Makes me wonder

I've had the note 2 and note 4 and went with the galaxy s7 edge. I was sick of the size and never used the s pen. so far the s7 edge is amazing and too me a lot more comfortable to hold and easier to text. I have my tablet for my bigger screen. both great phones but I like the edge 7 better

....I feel like I'm missing stuff, but yeah...there more missing in the S7E than JUST an S-Pen.
I'm just being technically correct. Some people will say they don't need the aforementioned items, but it's still worth noting (no pun intended) that there's more than just the S-Pen that's missing from the S7E.

Maaaan...I would LOVE "Root" on the Note 7 at this stage. I presume you're referring to rooting the S7E to achieve some of these things. I root all my deviced, but I'm speaking on out-of-the-box experience stock. Do you know of any GIF creation software (on the fly) that works via root?

Yes and no as on scratch resistance the note 7 is actually 3 levels lower at a level 3-4 pick where as the s7 edge is at a 6-7 pick. however gorilla glass 5 has got a better shatter resistance to the s7 edge so there still equal.

I used both. The Note 7 is definitely more comfortable to hold. The little extra options do make a difference.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is the combination of everything, It has the best camera, best screen and it looks stunning.
Checked out a note 7 at Costco and for some reason it is smoother than my s7 edge when i did side by side comparison and mine just got factory reset recently so it ran new. i think there's more to the new look of touchwhiz maybe Sammy did some fine tuning as well.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 vs Note 4: What's the difference?
**Design**
Note 7 measures 153.5mm x 73.9mm x 7.9mm and weighs 169g
Note 4 measures measures 153.5 x 78.6 x 8.5mm and weighs 176g
**Display**
The Note 4 also features a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a Quad HD resolution for the same pixel density of 515ppi. Gorilla Glass 3 is on board for protection against scratches.
The Note 7 too opts for a 5.7-inch display and the same Super AMOLED technology is present, although as mentioned, it is curved in the Note 7's case.
I prefer the flat screen so I don't accidentally activate by touching display, and it makes cracking screen much easier if it falls if it land on side, where the Note 4 has flat screen and nothing happens if it lands on it's side.
**Camera**
The Note 4 also has a 16-megapixel rear camera that is also capable of 4K video recording and auto focus is also on board again.
The Note 7 arrives with the same cameras as the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge. That means a Dual Pixel 12-megapixel rear camera.
The Note 7 just has better front camera of 5mp vs 3mp - who cares, nobody uses front to take quality pictures at parties or parks.
**Hardware**
The Note 4 has 32GB of internal memory but there is microSD support on board for storage expansion up to 128GB. A quad-core chip is under the hood, coupled with 3GB of RAM and a battery capacity of 3220mAh. (Mine has a 10,000mAh zerolemon battery, so mine lasts longer than the Note 7).
The Note 7 will have a octa-core Exynos chipset in some regions, while other territories may have a different processor, but both will be supported by 4GB of RAM and battery capacity of 3500mAh (Practically the same duration of the Note 4 not a signficant jump level up).
**Conclusion**
No way in heaven am I dropping another grand to get an "upgrade" if that's what its called to add 2mp extra front camera, 2 mins longer duration battery life, a more fragile screen that cracks if it lands on its side and a waterproof stylus ha ha ha! I have a waterproof stylus, it's just plastic. I am all for getting better technology and upgrading BUT when it actually feels like an upgrade and not two companies dishing out another model because the public demands one and they pop this piece of clone and change the number on the box to a 7 - no thank you. Keep your Note 7 Samsung. I have 128GB SD card and still haven't filled half of it.
Let's be real, how many people use the memo app? The gif creator is cool but not like I can't do same with my Note 4 with an app I can download, so not impressed.
i understand you and I am thinking the same, but you have to agree that the note 7 is definitely faster than the note 4 and the cameras are better too. Numbers aren't everything, apple is the best example for that

I have steered clear of Samsung devices primarily because of updates or lack of and TouchWiz. I realise TW is essential for the added features especially the stylus, but I'm sure if they really wanted to Samsung could have implemented this differently. OK rant over.

I was all set to pre order the Note 7, but $350 on a 2yr contract!? There's not much of a difference between the Note 7 and the S7 Edge, and Best Buy had the Edge for $99 a couple weeks ago

Upgrading from Note 5 for the removable storage options mainly.Not really a fan of edge technology on the Note 7 although it's not as pronounced as the Edge phone.
Hopefully it'll be a well received marginal upgrade from my current Note 5.

I'll definitely be upgrading to the Note 7. I just wish that it has a removable battery. I'm not a big fan of the all metal frame. However, I do like the the metal sides of the Note 4. It looks a little too much like the IPhone.

im using note 4, its a great smart phone, its very versatile. the pen is definitely a game changer. There are some tasks which u can't do using ur finger. Marking a layout on a map, or precisely cropping a picture. I love my note 4 but its abit laggy now, cropping from a smart select will take 10 seconds to switch to Whatsapp if you are going to share it. Sadly note 7 didn't include the IR, it's small, but its convenient to used when i can't found the ac remote... But with the camera upgrade and the new features, im sure im gonna love the picture.... Also i dont need to bring camera on my holiday anymore, and note 7 is waterproof, that means a day at water park or beach wont be a hassle

Good 1st look comparisons there !!! however I have chosen to write a note because of your association with DBrand. After having seen many awesome tech reviews DBrand has managed to advertise themselves quite successfully through UA-cam. And my 2 experiences with them after biting the temptation pill has been horrible. It is a classic case of great product being owned by a sloppy set of people. They somehow seem to over promise and mostly under deliver through their 'robotic' service teams !!! So a small piece of advise for people outside the US and Canada ...read their promises well before putting your money. cheers!

I noticed in some comparisons that the video on the s7/edge was much shakier than the note 5. Have you noticed this? I wouldn't want to upgrade if that's going to be a problem on the note 7. Some people noticed greater oversharpening on the s7 shooter as well

I will get the Note 7, but I am disappointed that the battery, processor and ram did not improve on the S7. I am also disappointed they never implemented their new UFS storage. Like with the Note 5, Samsung didn't consider the consumer base that took a chance with the original Note in 2011. Oh well, I'll look to upgrade next year... might even switch to another manufacturer if this continues.
