I watched this with my family and actually let myself show my emotions to other people and cry for the first time in a long time ❤ Thank you Moulin Rouge, thank you to the writers and thank you to the actors and actresses for their flawless performances ❤
Hawkeye's Dog maybe by whatever today's standards are, but when I saw this trailer for the first time it was in a packed theater and I remember hearing the people around me whisper and murmur things like "wow" or "ooh, that looks good" I liked it then, still do now. It's actually a pretty intense trailer. Lots of energy, and most importantly gives an idea without giving away all the good stuff

It's the complete opposite of the theme of the movie expressed by Toulouse's line for the play: "The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return." The movie goes out of its way to batter that message home with a sledgehammer, yet the trailer turns this upside down.
