You’re my garden cart repair hero! I followed your advice for changing out the bearings. Then when I wasn’t able to put the tube and tire back on the rim, I went to UA-cam and there you were again! Thank you for making these videos ❤
I just changed my wheelbarrow tire and now I'm watching this and thinking why, why was it not so easy for me and I struggled to put it on. And yes, the answer is that my tire wasn't made of butter.
Using a flathead screwdriver runs the risk of tearing the tube. Use a tire iron if you have one instead. They have rounded edges to keep the tube safe from pokes and tears. Use a screwdriver like this only as a last resort if you don't have anything better.
My Ace Hardware flat bed garden cart tire is smaller and a lot stiffer than that tire. How do I get it off enough to pull the tube and patch it then put it back together?
I know it's been years since you made this video....but I wanted you to know I just watched it and learned how to replace my old tires on my wheelbarrow and I wanted to say "thank you" for showing me how easy it is!! (single woman)lol
I have a flat tire and want to replace. I know it's a 16 inch tire but will any 16" tire fit my existing rim? How do I shop for a very tough farm tire for the rim?
Great video very helpful ours did not come with instructions. On greasing the bearings we put in several shots with the grease gun and did not see it coming out the sides. How many shots would a new tire require? Thx
Looks easy but its not. My tire fits on the rim very tight with very little room to play with, not like this video. Needed to put the rim on a vice or something to hold it in place then use long tire spoons to remove it. A screw driver will put a hole in the inner tube, almost guarantee.
LOL, yeah I put a hole in mine. I fought that damn thing for an hour with no success. Certainly is not nearly as pliable as in the video. I'll just buy a new damn wheel. You'd think after all the decades these things have been made that somebody would have a better idea.
Hello, You failed to mention that you need to make sure all the air is out of the tube before putting the tire back on the rim. Best to use a valve stem remover.
How 's about the valve stem on my old wheelbarrow is detached/ broke from tube and cannot be pushed in?.How can i remove this valve and replace with new tube?. Please advise. Thanks.
Having changed a couple of wheelbarrow inner tubes, I have to wonder at how soft and pliable the sidewalls are in this video. Must have been a hot day. Still, the video was useful.
Review the video again from the 2:02 mark where he pulls up part of the inner tube and says "Make sure you get your inner back in there" and pulls the inner tube valve back in
God dam that's one soft tyre. Good instructions on how to do it but very mis leading on how easy that was. The last time I had to change my inner tube i bent two screwdrivers and the rim
I don't know about anyone else but I've never been able to put air in a tubeless tire because it doesn't seat. I'd have loved to watch him fill that tire with that little pump. I bet he couldn't.
You could try wrapping a tough rope around the circumference of the tire and tie the ends together. Then put a rod or tough large screwdriver under the rope, twist the rope so it squeezes the tire and forces the bead in place, then fill with air.
Tube was $10, found a complete tire and wheel replacement for $20 on Amazon(4.00/4.80-8), so I went that route after I tried to put the old tire back on the rim. My wheelbarrow is 30 yrs old. Video is total bullshit!! Thumbs down!

What is that tire made of? BUTTER? I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANY TIRE SO PLIABLE OR EASY TO REMOVE. HOW ABOUT A REALITY BASED HOW TO VIDEO.
i totally agree.

Probably a 2 ply tire
I wonder if the tire is plunged into hot, but not scalding, water if that would help. Going to give that a try.
I’m going to UPS my tire I’ve been working on for the last 2 freaking hours to him! Now that should be a great video!
Thanks the hot water soak worked great! I did soak my twenty plus year old tire for about 20 minutes. Slipped right on!
Bucket of hot water and let the tyre totally immersed, sit for 10 minutes...nice and pliable.
This was the key for us! Thank you!!!!
Thanks I will try that.
Great tip. Thanks
Thx, I will try it too...
Great instructions I really needed because I’m getting a new wheelbarrow but needed the tire put back on it
Is that some kind of training tire?
I'm jealous of that soft stretchy tyre...trying to get a 20 year old one off is proving much harder.
Thanks - you saved me some time and a few scuffed knuckles. I knew it was something like that but had no idea it could be so elegant.

This is a tubeless tire....
@@PANZERFAUST90 I don't think so. He mentions the tube at 5:78
Very helpful video, thank you. Struggled with getting the old tyre off but after that easy!
Thanks. I made it successfully by following you instruction.
My Ace Hardware flat bed garden cart tire is smaller and a lot stiffer than that tire.
How do I get it off enough to pull the tube and patch it then put it back together?
But why not fix the leak on the old inner tube and re-use it?
Andrew Ray und . Das
Marathon needs to sell tires
I fix old tube
Then he wouldn't have a video showing how to put a tire on a rim.

Wow, that came off so much easier than the tyre I just had to remove... Needed 3 screwdrivers and a lot of wrestling with it.
Excellent presentation! Thanks

Sadly didn't work for me, the tyre/tire walls far too stiff, couldn't get it off with two 18" tyre irons.
Amazingly simple. Easy to follow.. remarkably simple to fix. Wow. Lol. Thank you for this video

How did you get that last part of the tyre on so easily? I've struggled with mine & it's still not on!
Is that a two ply tire?
2 minutes to take off and fit, it took me 2 hours, I didn't use a screw driver though just bare hands no chance of ripping the tube.
Ah, so you don't try to stuff the tube in once the new tire is on. I was wondering why I was having problems.

mustve been a hot day, next to a volcano, in the summer XD i literally cannot get this tyre off without bending the wheel rim lol
Worked fine for me...although as others have said my tire was a little less pliable... so I had to muscle it back on the rim.
A good tip if your new tyre is difficult to put on. Rub a little dish soap around the inner edge so it slips onto the rim more easily.😉
Thank you so much 🙂👍👍👍
Usefull video
Thank you so much!
Thanks, hugh help 👍
There's no tube, so he doesn't have to fix something that's not there! Easy video to follow, thanks!
Yes check just before he tosses tire plus there the value steam.
Review the video again from the 2:02 mark where he pulls up part of the inner tube and says "Make sure you get your inner back in there" and pulls the inner tube valve back in
Good video! Thanks
Installed a 4 ply Carlisle today. Man what a pain in the ass that was. Chewedd up the rim and my knuckles.
Never going to happen with my tire. I thought getting it off the rim was tough, still can’t get it back on ! I call bull s!
Your tire must be very soft in order to get it back on the rim using just muscle power.
God dam that's one soft tyre. Good instructions on how to do it but very mis leading on how easy that was. The last time I had to change my inner tube i bent two screwdrivers and the rim
Get those 10 inch tire bars from Titan at Princess Auto , Amazon , Harbor Freight . Don't use a screw driver and poke a hole through the tire or tube.
In another universe. Not the tire I’m struggling with.
Thank you, first time changing a tire the video was very good.
Cool Strat!
I would't need to replace a new tire with a new tire !!
I wish it were that easy

Top video mate, Cheers.
Thanks! Helpful video! I love how you just throw the "old" tire over your shoulder. I wouldve done the same. 😂😂
mit nem schraubenzieher reifen wechseln , da fällt mir nix mehr ein , der reifen war auch noch gut
This is the most deceitful video on all of UA-cam. Either this man is using a foam tire or this is Hulk Hogan in disguise.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😄
Well it LOOKS easy but...I cant do it

Put that back on with ease...🙄
