I’ve always envied people who can crochet bags. I finally picked up my courage and tried a week ago. I’m so thankful for this video that I’ve selected and completed my bag. It is so nice! Your video is easy to follow and the music is soothing. Thank you. Will continue to crochet other bags from your channel. :)
I taught myself crochet last summer but have only crocheted plushies. I'm thinking about challenging myself a bit and giving this design a go! Watching you crochet is so oddly satisfying that I think this will go over quite well. Thank you for your time and gift to us! ☺️
As a novice crocheter I have started a half size tote as I only had half of the required cotton in my stash. I and am super pleased with what I've made so far. Thank you!!!
i'm a newbie and when i saw this tote bag i fell in love, i already bought the yarn can't wait to start! You make it look so easy, your video shows very clearly how you work and it's awesome for us newbies! thank you!
so I had this dream about a crocheted tote bag with coral attachments, and I wanted to thank you for making it so easy to make my dream come true! ThANK YOU!
I rarely comment on UA-cam but I just wanted to say thank you so much! Your style of video allowed me to create this bag and I’m really thrilled with it! I’ve been crocheting for only 3 weeks now and to make a bag like this is sooo awesome!! It feels like a huge accomplishment! Again, your video style is amazing! Perfect for beginners like me to follow along! Thank you so much again!
Wow, that is impressive, I have been crotcheting for 50 years, but have done so much more now that UA-cam does wonderful tutorials like this. Wish me luck I am starting today🇬🇧🤗
Just finished making this bag very east instructions to follow ,I used soft rope 2-3 mm and I brought two skiens 200 metres on each and I have about a 3rd left off the 2nd skien, a tip for when you get to chain 60 for the handle chain loosely ,can't wait to do more of Kristines patterns.
I'm taking a break from blankets and working in bags. I think I will give this a try. I have done a couple of different granny square bags and ready for something different.
just made this for my little sister in her favorite color for a christmas gift with goodies inside. you did an amazing job with this video, thank you for your time and for sharing this!!!
I just started on this pattern last night and so far I LOVE it! I've got the base completed and am starting on the lacy rows now. I finally found a bag pattern I could follow and know I will get lots of use out of it!
This is one of the best tutorials that I've been able to find that was easy to follow. There were some that seemed easy but the stitches kept being off so I really appreciate you taking the time to show us how to do these beautiful patterns
I like that it is easy to see and follow. I don't usually like music on these types of tutorials, but this was very relaxing and somehow fitted in with the crocheting. I have made bags before so I know about the base, but this shows it very well. Wish me luck🍀🤞
Thanks so much, looking at this video, I got inspired and have started a bag to gift my friends daughter who is soon to deliver a baby! Wish me luck so that it gets finished in time.
Omg! This is perfect timing. My daughter was using a plastic shopping bag like a purse to dig through her belongings🤦♀️🤣. She has so much stuff she carries, there are no purses big enough. This is perfect to make for her. Thank you 🤩🙏🏼
I just finished my second bag, and it only took about 3.5 hours. It holds everything for a day at the beach. I used a variegated yarn and I didn't like how it looked splotchy at first, but it turned out great. Nice pattern!
I compliment you on your style of teaching. Very clear and simple, no talking, easy instructions, no distracting background or nails, very basic just like it ought to be. Well done!
Thank you for the video I absolutely love the pattern. I made two bags for my nieces and they love it. One in 3 colours came out beautiful. The other I made in same colour but with a slight difference. Instead of making 3 dc on the mid dc of the previous row I made 3 dc between the two clusters of 3dc. It also came out pretty. Once again thanks. I used macrame cord, thicker hook and fewer stitches. I have made many doilies from your videos thanks 😊
I just made this and it’s sooo cute! I made it tricolor with 100% cotton. It’s an easy to follow pattern and very fast to work up. I tripled the stitches because my yarn was so much smaller and it was still super easy to follow the pattern if you can do simple math. It’s a very bohemian chic look!
I am so glad i found this pattern!! I've been coming up with my own ideas but not happy with the outcomes, when that happens I grab a UA-cam pattern to reset the creativity. Can't wait to give this one a try ☺️
Hello my dear, today i crochet this wonderful bag 4 Times.soooo very lovely and nice and easy to make.thank you so very much for your patient and time to show us step by step. Many greetings from Frankfurt, germany, yours Edith 😊
What a great idea, using macrame cord. Your tutorial makes it so easy to follow. I was so inspired that I included your project in a roundup post on my website about beginner crochet projects. Thanks for sharing your skills with the community! Keep up the fantastic work. 😊
Ahh this video helped a lot, it's my day 2 of learning how to crochet and omg I am honestly so thankful cuz I have been able to do a pretty good job 💖 💌
Thanks for sharing the tutorial. You make it SO EASY! I love my new bag. I do not know how to read patterns but follow alongside are AWESOME! You're a Natural at teaching
AWESOME TUTORIAL KRISTINE !! I REALLY ENJOY YOUR INSTRUCTIONAL AND THE SELECTION YOU CHOSE FOR THE BACKGROUND MUSIC, SUCH A REFRESHING CALM CHANGE FOR TUTORIALS.
i am so obsessed with all of your patterns .... the way you explain each pattern is incredible and very very easy to follow... a huge thank you for offering such a valuable content ♥️
Thank you so much for posting this, the instructions were very clear and easy to follow! I was wondering how I would go about making this bag with another row added to the bottom before the repeated pattern to make it a bit wider?
Hi I love the way you teach. So clear and easy to follow. My bag nearly finished. It looks beautiful and I am so happy that it went so well. God bless 🥰🥰🥰
Dude this is the best tutorial that I’ve ever seen for any type of crocheting whatsoever 😭💜 I love you thank you so much I’m gonna have so many cute bags now
I have made doilies from your tutorials and I always receive compliments. This tote pattern is beautiful and I will try to make it, too. Thank you for making these easy to follow videos. Jeannine in Texas, USA
Has anyone made this using hdc instead of dc? Is that silly? Wondering if that makes for a tighter weave on the bag? 😅 Have already made this pattern twice- LOVE it!! Once using cotton yarn doubled up & once usung 2 mm macrame cord. Just amazing! Thank you for the awesome pattern & tutorial!! ❤
I love this and can’t wait to try it. For those of you that have, do you have to use macrame yarn? I have regular, 5mm thickness yarn and wondered if that would still work?
Beautiful pattern, amazing and slow tutorial for a beginner like myself and last but not the least, the outcome that I got following this was a 100% match to the bag that was made in this video. A hearty thanks.
Thank you Kristina for this wonderful pattern. It's the first bag I've made and it won't be the last 🥰 I crochet with a tight tension and this project was a challenge, particularly the handles. I may use a bigger crochet hook next time ❤
Thank you so much for this pattern. I just finished this bag and it is beautiful and so useful. And instructions were the best I have ever used. Thank you again. Lilly.
Hi Kristine I loved your crochet videos. it is very easy to understand. you teach in very simple and easy way. I have made this bag. thank you so much for your efforts.😊❤
I just made this and its beautiful. I've only been crocheting for a little bit and would love to make a smaller version of this for a little girl. Would you be able to tell me the instructions for a smaller version. Maybe half this size
You can adjust the width of the bag by adding or subtracting chain stitches of the foundation chain in a multiple of 3. To make a half this size, you'd make a foundation chain of 15: Round 1: 2dc into 4th ch from hook, 1dc into next 10 ch sts, 6dc into last ch st., 1dc into next 10 ch sts on the other side of foundation chain, 3dc into last ch st. Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3. Round 2: ch3 (counts as 1dc), 1dc into same st., 2dc into next 2 sts, 1dc into next 10 sts, 2dc into next 6 sts, 1dc into next 10 sts, 2dc into remaining 3 sts. Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3. Round 3: ch3 (counts as 1dc), 1dc into same st., 2dc into next 3 sts., 1dc into next 14 sts, 2dc into next 8 sts, 1dc into next 14 sts, 2dc into remaining 4 sts. Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3.
This is a beautiful tutorial. I am having a hard time finding the material you used. I am new to crocheting. I want to make sure this is a sturdy bag using the right material. I have heard nightmares of tooooo much stretching and the bag being ruined by using the wrong yarn. So I want to make sure I use worsted cotton. Is that all I need? Thanks 😊
Merci pour votre super travail 🙏🏻👍 Explications net et précises même pour le matériel Je vais acheter du fil pour me faire ce sac, il est super joli ❤️❤️❤️
PLEASE NOTE A TYPING ERROR IN WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS! You must start with a foundation chain of 30 chains instead of 29!!!

Thanks for this lovely pattern. I started with the 29, but at some point on the 3rd round just added a stitch. Worked out beautifully!
Question: if I wanted to make a bigger version, how many chains? Would it work would any multiple of 3?
Yes, any multiple of 3 will work.

You can use any yarn of your choice. I'd suggest using cotton or cotton blend.
Ahhhh bless your heart! Very easy and straight to the point (no shade to other crotchers but my attention span in little).

To make a half this size, you'd make a foundation chain of 15:
Round 1: 2dc into 4th ch from hook, 1dc into next 10 ch sts, 6dc into last ch st., 1dc into next 10 ch sts on the other side of foundation chain, 3dc into last ch st.
Thank you for that adjustment!
I love the video and instructions.
This will be my next project.
Thank you so much. I really love it. Can't wait to get started.
Thank you for watching! Hope you'll enjoy making the bag. 😊

Thanks 😊
Yes you can use worsted / aran weight cotton yarn or a 3 mm crochet cord.
I just finished this! Thank you so much for sharing the pattern!!
Thank you for watching! 🥰
