I just love watching you draw and paint. You don't complicate it. Your technique when you draw is so simple and allows me confidence that with practice and time not spent over thinking is possible for myself. Thank you
I love doing real simple sketches. It really helps to build up an understanding of what makes up the different elements of the drawing. It came out quite well!
I can't even image how someone could criticize anyone who takes the time and effort to show us how to create this drawing and asks for nothing in return. Some people are truly jerks. As your mother taught you; if you don't have something nice to say, don't say it at all. I personally thank you sir for putting this video together. I certainly learned something from it.
I love your sailboat and I love your technique. I also enjoy the way you describe what you are doing . Let me add I love your happy tone. That's special!

Thanks. I have tried many different brushes and the one I like the most is soft, synthetic, but not super soft, more like "medium-soft", if that makes sense. It is actually a brush to paint with acrylics.

The grey paper that you are using creates an amazing ready-midtone for your incredible highlighting effects; what is your preferred brand and type? I'd like to achieve greater contrast. I haven't noticed any grey sketch pads at the art supply store.
