Esta es la versión arcade que ni siquiera se llama Super Mario Bros (fijate en el título del video), que después de pasar el nivel 8-4 directamente termina el juego y te hace registrar tu puntaje en el ranking como todos los juegos arcade. Esto lo sé por jugar desde los 7 años y saber bien las diferencias de las dos versiones xD saludos...
I used to play this on the actual arcade games and not too long ago, I got it to use as an alternative to the "Online" section of the Nintendo Switch retro games. It keeps you on your toes more than the original home version.
United state and Canada only, the version that is not the Arcade archive version, the 2nd version still the same version the dip switch only have does option how many life you start with, how many life you got from continued from a gameover, how many coins required for a 1-up and the timer speed however compare to the virtual version the actuall machine have an aditional dips switch exclusive for having the actuall machine, while the first version version got a lot more of the dip switch, the extra dip switch are you can set so the goomba and koopa move faster, so the reason it shows 1986 it was the second version without the additional dip switch.
This is the original Super Maro Bros. "VS Super Mario Bros" was released in Japan first. Then it was ported to arcade and the NES here in the states. I actually got to play it in a local arcade right when the game was first delivered. My parents knew the vender and he left a stack of quarters for me to play the game. I think I was 6 yrs old so needless to say the game kicked my ass because I didn't know how to play it. It was still a cool experience that has stayed fresh in my memories.
