- Kenneth graduated from MCRD San Diego boot camp April 5, 2019. This is our experience in California and watching him achieve his dream of becoming a United States Marine. We are so proud of him!

My grandson is currently in Pendleton doing his crucible. So in 2 weeks we will be going to his graduation. Grandpa( my husband) is a former Marine, my son is a former Marine, and now our grandson. 3 generations of Marines. So very proud of them all!
Searched for the Marine Family day / Graduation and found yours. I have a nephew that starts his journey 3 Jan 2022 in the Marines. I think his Boot Camp will be where Kenneth went. I served 21 years in the Air Force and I’m excited for your journey. I sent this excellent video to my sister so she can plan on attending. I want to go too.

My husband graduates august 5th! They just opened family day and graduation to unlimited amounts of guests. I’m so so excited❣️❣️
you got married before he graduated? Well atleast no deployments. I seen so many young couples make this mistake. " but we are different" famous words.
@@teflondefcon1674 we got married out of high school before he decided to join. He decided to join right before our second year wedding anniversary

I served six glorious years in the Marine Corps, I joined in 1986 and fought During Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm before leaving in 1992 for school.
I am proud to have served and watching the family day video (I went to swampy Parris Island 😖) revived the memories of that day. Sadly, my family couldn't make the trip, but fellow members of my platoon picked up the slack. (My now late mother had a health issue and a late telegraph explained why.)
You had a fellow Marine accompany you back home...which solidified why Marines take care of their own. I had returned to surprise my mom, and show the family the Marine I became.
I am subscribed to the channel and hope to see more video content. I am surprisingly the ONLY member of my family to earn the EGA...and more amazing is that I am the only member to have seen actual combat. (A double blessing or curse...if you can look at this from either side of the spectrum.)

I’m surprising my soon to be Marine best friend! His family has been so generous with inviting me to go with them to all of this! The video helped me so much! I had no idea what to expect! But now I feel a little more calm about the family day now that I know how it works! Still crazy nervous though!

I remember my step brothers graduation from the marine corps ( I went on family day too) , i was in the higher stands and I have depth perception so once he got dismissed my family and him had to ram run to get to him to congratulate him
this made me cryyyy omg. my boyfriend is currently at bootcamp at Parris Island, South Carolina and he graduates May 8th! Can’t wait to see him!

I have a question how many days did you'll stay for the ceremony, etc ?
Yuri Cobos the whole thing is about 2 or 3 days
Day 1: tour the base
Day 2: hang with your recruit for like 3 or 4 hours
Day 3: graduation day, take your recruit home
Arrive early in the morning on graduation day and I mean beyond early maybe like 4 am
I’d recommend going for at least two of the days when you get to see your recruits

Ik it depends what side of country you are on, I just think they are slight luckier due to how nice the base is, but I bet is horrible in summer
