Younger generation word, prolix? Horror is Horror but timeline is everything. The Shining is still unequaled in my opinion. The Stand etc.
@@markbirchette8740 Yes, his early work stands out. I'm fond of his first story collection Night Shift. I actually like the guy, he's a phenomenon. But he's not in the league of Lovecraft, Campbell or even Straub.
