the lumbar support hurt my back so bad, I removed it and strapped it to the back of the chair with heavy duty rubber bands so that I could put foam in that space with it falling out the back. now it doesn't hurt my back anymore. I have the walking pad too, lost 11 lbs just walking at 2.0-3 mph while I edit and build tracks
Multiple displays is so clutch! totally recommend trying the stacked layout and put your second one above your main and angle it so you don't gotta tilt your neck much
Yes on the backup! I suggest a free SW called SyncBack. I just got a NAS drive and tried to use its backup but it didn't like 1 corrupt file and halted. SyncBack halted, asked if i wanted to ignore and move on. Crisis solved!
Nice! another thumbs up for Backblaze here, not sure that your slow internet speed would be to much of a prob as it just ticks away in the BG all the time, so eventually, provided you leave the computer on.. everything will be backed up to the cloudzzzzz
hello!! the vertical screen is this one → kit.co/reapertips/production-2024/dell-p2014h-19-5-inc it's super cheap and works so well and I love that it can turn vertical. The small one is actually a drawing tablet my girlfriend used to use hahaha. I think for the price it costed, you can find a cheaper smaller screen but not sure which!
This is what I'm also interested in, but IMO the most effective workflow in digital mixing is always mouse and keyboard combo (MX ftw!) and bunch of keyboard shortcuts.
I got the XL Streamdeck with the idea that it would massively improve my workflow but I ended up selling after barely using it for years. And the comment above sums my situation pretty well! I am just way faster with my mouse/keyboard haha. I know some people customize it super well and they have all their plugins and workflow actions in there and manage to work really well with that! I am particularly picky about how the elgato feels on my hand. The keys are all plasticky and doesn't feel too good or easy to press.
Your multi monitor setup is so clever! Too bad that I need to survive with my one small monitor... and I'm surprised to know that you're Venezuelan! Are you doing fine there?
Your backup setup is a good start, but to make it more resilient you should follow the 3-2-1 rule: 3 copies of the data (original can be included in this), on 2 different media types, and 1 of the copies should be off-site (this is where Backblaze or other cloud services would come in). For the off-site, you could just do the absolute critical info (Reaper setup backup files, samples and hard to re-download VSTs, etc.).
@@swayz0r5000 ow I really been meaning to get into backblaze! My not so great internet speed is the only thing kinda making me put it off. I love the off-site idea!! Good reason to get another hard drive :D thank you!
Check out the Flexispot C7Max chair I recommend here → bit.ly/4hgWzAd
Use my code 'C730' to get $30 off on the chair 👍

Great video, and a lot of cool ideas, but the lamp on your keyboard is driving me loco! LOL 😄
hahasdhahdsa so truee I put it there just when I film. when I am actually using it I just put it on the side 😂

Great video as always!!! I definitely need a backup asap
Can second for Backblaze. Honestly a life saver and super cheap for what you get.
this is awesome! I love this type of content

HI there, can you drop the names of the extra screens you got there? is the small one just a tablet? the vertical one on the right looks interesting.

@@Reapertips wow thanks for the quick response.
The chair looks promising.
Thanks for all your great work and approach. Much appreciated. On and up, I say! ☺
Did you think about using some external controller for the Reaper? Elgato Streamdeck, for example

what specs is your Mac? and what guitars/tuning /string gauges? what audio interface and monitors?

@stebeusmusic thank you!! And yea, I'm okay 😅
Me encanta el vídeo! Pero no has dado un espacio a tu asistente de estudio! 🐕
👍
