I have a blue and black Omtech 80W with a little air pump inside. I bought the exact same air assist set from Amazon, but I have no idea about electronics, so I'll let that do by someone else ;) I hope we can use the pipes from the existing air pump.
Hi, yes I used the existing airline that was in the machine I just cut and attached it, I did however need new airline to plumb from the regulator/water trap to the machine it was a very easy process using the wiring diagram 😊 thanks for watching cheers, Matt
I'm doing a similar system with an external compressor. The diagram of the switch is a bit messy, is it possible to get a better picture of your switch? You make great videos, thanks for sharing!
Hey mate, yeh no worries I don’t have a pic but I can send you a re draw of the diagram showing the exact wires and where they go too if you like send me your email and I can send it to you 👍🏽 thanks for watching, Cheers, Matt
@@woodendayz is the switch necessary? Seems to be more of an ON/AUTO switch. When in "off" position, the software still controls everything. If I don't need the ability to manually turn on high pressure, can I skip the switch?
@seanjohnson4643 Hey mate, yes that’s correct you don’t need the switch it is purely just for manual use so you could definitely leave it out and it will still work automatically depending on your settings in the software 😊 thanks for watching man, Cheers, Matt
What size/type of diode are they do they have a number, I got all the other bits apart from the diodes and not sure what type to look for. Great video very informative.
Hi Paul, sorry mate I’m not sure what size diode they were it all came in the kit I purchased the ultimate air assist maybe you could search that up it may have that info on the description specs cheers, Cheers Matt
My laser has a split on the input that runs through two separate solenoids. When the air assist in lightburn is turned on you have high pressure and when the air assist is turned off you have low pressure. Both are adjustable by separate needle values and a pressure gauge. It seems very similar to what you are doing except for the use of the two solenoids.
Yes I think it’s very similar I have a needle valve adjustment screw on the solenoid that I’m able to have very minimal air blowing through all the time and full air when the solenoid is activated
Great video, i also have a RED & BLACK 80-watt laser. I purchased individual parts from Amazon, where did you get the wiring diagram? Is there anyway you could send me a copy of the wiring diagram? Thanks
Yeh no worries at all I don’t have my original diagram I used in the video but I do have the one I got from Amazon when I purchased it you can just find the ultimate air assist kit on Amazon and the diagram is in with the pics but more than happy to send my one if you send me your email 😊 thanks for watching cheers, Matt

Have you considered rotating the cowling on your main exhaust fan up and back, to get rid of one bend in your exhaust line?
Hey, I didn’t think of that but I’m not sure If it can be rotated, I’ll look into it! Thanks for watching!
