- Kidneys function as the excretory organ in vertebrates and humans. When its microscopic structure is examined, it is seen that kidney is made up of structures called nephron. Nephrons are the building units of kidney and function as filtering unit. Bowman’s capsule can be seen
Bowman’s capsule is found at the beginning of nephron. The Bowman’s capsule fully cover/wrap the glomerular capillaries and is made of single layer epithelial tissue.
This video is very helpful 👍🏻👍🏻
This is perfect aromatic video about nephrone
What a nice explanation
My brain: "Tubey things in a sack. They go from the sack to other wiggly tubes."
Please revised version with mesangial cells.
Your explanations is very well
I don’t know why the f my college doc cannot teach as in a simple way like this vid
😂😂
Im still wondering like they could instead of teaching 2 hrs class, doing it in 15 minutes and the remaining donating other knowledges
Hi
If capillaries give up lot of the stuff from the blood to the nephron at the glomerule, why they do not do the same thing, that is give up everything in other places, like the liver, for instance? Is there a difference in capillary structure?
well suppose it did, now who's gonna get those stuff out of us? we can't just keep those waste in the liver as there's no connection of the liver to the excretory parts.
and im not a science teacher or anything I'm just a normal student explaining my opinion
@@gamingarcade3476 Liver removes those stuff via bile, through the guts
Hey!
Yes, the structure of capillaries in the nephron is different. To know this deeply, you might prefer some other informations. Tbh, the video is oversimplified. In reality, the Afferent arteriole and Efferent arteriole have a big difference in their diameters. The Efferent arteriole's diameter (25μm) is half of Afferent arteriole (50μm). So, when blood enters the renal corpuscle via Afferent arteriole which gets smaller and smaller when leaving the corpuscle as Efferent arteriole, a big difference of pressure is created. Normally, arterial capillary pressures are around 30mmHg (outward). But for this special structure, the pressure lifts upto 60mmHg. For that 60mmHg (outward) pressure, which is double of normal capillary pressures, things enter the Bowman's Capsule.
For more information, I'd like to say that, not only this one structure, there are many more complex structures in the nephron that makes it special. Like-
1. Not only the 60 mmHg pressure, there is also Capsular Colloidal Pressure (around 32mmHg, inward), Hydrostatic Pressure (around 18mmHg, inward). Which reduces the net outward Pressure to (around) 10mmHg.
2. The Distal convoluted tubule slides near to the renal corpuscle and makes a complex cellular structure called 'Juxtaglomeruar Apparatus (JGA)'.
3. The nephrons have a mechanism called 'Counter Current Multiplier & Exchanger Mechanism'.
4. The Glomerular Basement membrane has a composition of Collagen (electronutral) and Proteoglycan (electronegative) Fibre. That makes the whole Filteration membrane negatively charged and prohibits the Filteration of large negative particles (such as proteins etc) but allows positive particles (such as Na+, K+ etc).
5. The gap junctions of Glomerular Endothelial cells are around 6nm and the pores in the basement membrane are 6nm as well. That prohibits the Filteration of very larger particles than 6nm. The electrostatic force is applied here too, making Filteration of positive particles easier than negative particles.
6. There are two types of nephrons, that make urine at different conditions and in different concentrations. One resides mostly in the Cortex of kidney, known as Cortical Nephron. One resides mostly in Medulla of kidney, known as Juxtamedullary Nephron.

Will please tell what is the meaning of afferent and efferent arterioles
the capeliries with provide blood to bowman s capule is called afernt
Affrent which carries blood to the glomerulus and effrent which carries it back to the heart by vasarecta i think it's not accurately explained by me

Sir : nephron is a cell or tissue or organ ?
Give a answer with reason .
It is a functional structural unit inside
the kidney, made of simple epithelial tissue(s)
@@CLeHitez106means that nephron is tissue..
@@khan-kz8fc it's made of different tissues so it's safe to consider that it's an organ
@@gamingarcade3476 an organ within an organ?
