    Kobbie is genuinely the perfect partner for Rice for England. If he lives up to his potential a midfield 3 of Kobbie, Rice and Bellingham is genuinely so well balanced. Obviously extremely early but for an 18 yo to show this maturity is super rare.

    Now we add in Amad, a left-footed player who I feel will become as influential in his position, as Mainoo will be in his.
    On a side note, I can really see Mainoo pushing to see himself in the Euros squad. Perfect player to have alongside Rice in the pivot, to allow Rice to play a more b2b role whilst Bellingham plays more advanced.

    Great pts on Onana, Mainoo and Garnacho. That said it also worries me because they were "big moments" again we relied upon. Onana leading in saves and shots against reflects poor defense/midfield abilities. While Garnacho goal was surreal, he played rather avg at best the rest of the match along with Rashford. I'm leary of being overly excited yet until some others like Martinez and Hojilund return from injury and we can play 75 plus min controling teams not in bottom 10.

    It's a game of small margins. A wonder strike, Onana's performance of the season and a penalty that almost wasn't, gave us the win. Everton were extremely unlucky not to score a goal, with 24 shots(6 on target) and the xG being 1.42 to ours 0.89, I don't think our defense deserves praise.

    I didn't see the notification for this and am only just seeing it after the Galatasary and Newcastle games. Some parts of the video haven't aged well but I completely agree that our youth are something to get excited about and are probably playing the best, out of all of our team (though I'm a little wary of Mejbri. He has a goal in him and has passion but needs to cool his jets a little). Mainoo is, by far, my fave. Cool and collected, he shows such promise. Garnacho isn't far behind though. Easily our best winger, right now.

    • @ILKILO1
      @ILKILO1 6 місяців тому +1

      @@FOOTIATOR Paul Scholes in-particular was very quick himself in his younger days, don't let his performances towards the back end of his career fool you, don't forget he used to play as a second striker essentially at times when he broke into the team.
      I was also making the comparison in terms of how he both plays and understands the game and pace doesn't factor much into it in all honesty. The way he receives the ball on the half turn looking to play forward instantly, how he's almost laughably comfortable under ridiculous amounts of pressure ie. He's extremely press resistant in that deeper role, as are the other two players I mentioned. His passing range and decision making.. There's a lot that I see in Kobbie Mainoo that reminds alot of those 2 players in particular and not at one point did I think about his pace being one of his key attributes.

    • @mm2801
      @mm2801 6 місяців тому

      It's early and whilst he has some elite attributes I haven't seen anything in the 1st team from him to suggest his passing range is near pogba/Scholes. His passing is accurate and crisp but haven't seen anything in terms of creativity and distance to suggest he can pass like them.... even if he doesn't pass lile them he still looks a gem of a player and I'm excited for his future.

    • @ILKILO1
      @ILKILO1 6 місяців тому

      @@mm2801 I never compared him to Pogba lad. The comparison I made was to Marco Verratti mostly and a young Paul Scholes. You know Paul Scholes wasn't spraying balls around for fun at 19/20/21 but what he was doing was making the right pass, at the right time. He was clever in linking up play and breaking through the lines with his passing and he was excellent in recieving the ball on the half turn and manipulating/creating space for himself in areas which he shouldn't be allowed it which are all attributes which stand out in Kobbie to.
      What makes me lean more towards the Verratti comparison is Mainoo's ability to win defensive 1v1 duels and his ability to invite pressure and than play himself out of it almost seemlesly. The lad could be being pressed by 1 or 2 players at the same time, with his back turned to goal and find a way out of it.

    • @mm2801
      @mm2801 6 місяців тому

      @@ILKILO1 "forget all the lazy pogba comparisons , i genuinely believe he has a higher ceiling than that" to say he has a higher ceiling than pogba infers that he will be a supreme passer of the ball with world class creativity as that is pogbas number one attribute. Whilst pogba did posses great ball control and dribbling, when operating in deeper positions he could get caught on the ball so not entirely press resistant.

    4:30 I don't disagree with you on much Dave however I think the ball Rashford played on that occasion, although the right idea was fairly poorly executed. The pace on the ball was needed however the angle and height it was delivered at almost made it impossible for Garnacho to finish. Running onto a ball which has been fizzed into you and has gone past the second post already in-between knee and hip heigh is incredibly difficult to deal with.

    I see a future in Garnacho, Rasmus Højlund, Greenwood, Mainoo, Pellistri, Hanniball

    Need to stop praising our defence. We didnt defend well. Maguire hv step up and rightly so he should be doing it week in week out lindelof is no where near a top 6 defender he can play n pass the ball well but he cant and dont hv the desire to defend. Dalot cant defend. Watch it properly if not for mainoo in the 1st half, everton could score 2 or 3 goals. Imagine being a senior player in the pl playing week in week out and still need an 18 year old boy to do the job. After the 1st goal we were out of focus and didnt play well. A win is a win and this win is huge for us but we must not get complecent built good play on the pitch from here and built confidence game by game. We are not better than what we are

      Nah. Mainoo is the better of the two. I hope I'm wrong but I just see another Garner when I see gore. Mainoo has been clear and away our best young midfielder since a certain french international.

    Seriously dave.. care to give an explanation about why mount has not livet up to the hype YOU created? And seriously Onana is basic at best, high save rates yeah.. every shot is ind the middle of the goal. And antony = u know what

    There you go Dave, your Onana. Get him out ffs! What a nightmare he has been. The worst signing ever. 14 goals conceded in 5 CL games. There is nothing anyone can say to defend this. The guy is a hot mess. Ten Hag as well clueless how to keep the lead in games. How many times this has happened. He should've been sacked after Bayern game already. This is beyond bad. Ole was doing great comparing to this chaos.
    Not to speak of pushing players out of the club.

    Garnacho was very poor that game. That was a once in a generation goal. Goals pave over the cracks. Rashford played on of the worst games I've seen from him but he scored a pen he had nothing to do with. We're still extremely poor. That game had Everton written all over it.

      Someone once told me that a big team will always be a big team
      Given the way we have been playing and the way we have criticized our players, you'd never have thought we'd be 6th and 6 points off of first place
      We'll likely still pick up a result like this again
      And still get to feel a bit alright
      I watched just this first half and my God, my eyes were largely on either Mainoo or DCL. Everton's attack was constant, the result just shows why they are where they are in the table, clinciality
      Reminds me of Wolves. The difference is we got an early go so a lot better control, and we made it 3
      If they had scored early, or if we hadn't scored at all the narratives, bar Mainoo would likely have been different

      15 points out of 18, another clean sheet, a 3 goal margin victory, and a contender for the greatest goal ever scored in the EPL. And you are still CRYING about this on the internet. Hilarious
