lol they've been figured out because a lot of Italian coaches always have circuit routine patterns of play that over time grow stale and become predictable. Happened with Sarri and Conte. Too many analysts at this level of football for it to work long term.

Didn't you get most of those points under Potter at the start of last season though? Your form under De Zerbi has often fluctuated quite a bit - it's rare that Brighton go more than a game or two without a draw or a defeat. Which is why he's averaged a little over 1.5 ppg in 40+ PL games as the manager. That average over a season probably gets you 8th-10th this year given how competitive the top half is compared to 22-23.

More success equals more games, and more games means more players also being selected for national sides to play in meaningless friendlies, which all equates to more exhaustion and injury.
A couple of weeks ago Brighton beat Ajax at home 2 : 0. Tonight, in the second leg, they beat Ajax away 0 : 2. Brighton are currently 7th in the Premiership. Found out?
They're not similar, and Ten Hag abandoned his philosophy after his poor start to the first season. There's a clear blueprint of how De Zerbi wants to play, and the team reflects that. Not the same case with MU.

The most overrated team in recent year, i dont get the hype yea they play good but we have seen things like this before. People are just hyping up players like Mitoma becuase hes japanese, Mc Allister because he is a messi look alike and many more
I think they're hyped because they have been playing much "better" teams off the park with an attractive, progressive style of play rather than the usual overperformers' hard-to-break-down 4-4-2. And also their ability to discover and then nurture young talent to then sell on for huge profits (Cucurella, Mac Allister, Caicedo) without it affecting the team's success (well maybe until now...). Plenty of teams in the past have done either of these things but rarely both at the same time.
idk how they are overrated no idea why you are mentioning Mac Alister he plays for Liverpool now lol and they also sold Caicedo in summer anyway Brighton are 7th place atm and with the quality of players Brighton have 5th 6th 7th 8th is where they should be imo don't think anyone predicted them to get top 4
In my opinion De Zerbi just isn't as good as everyone thought. He took Brighton over from Potter, the team was already very good, he just carried them over on that positive wave until the end of the season. This year they are still very good but I'd argue not as good as in the last campaign. Obviously, European competition is also a factor so it's not that easy to judge.
@@gianvidal What I said is I don't think De Zerbi is as good as people think but there are factors that work in his favor such as the outgoing transfers and the injuries. I put the problem on injuries tbh. When you sell your best players every season and suddenly have European competition to contend with, you don’t have the squad depth to last
Firstly, the competition has risen across the board.
Secondly, we have heller injuries.
Thirdly, we haven’t replaced Caecedo yet.
De Zerbi will definitely figure something out, and Brighton will start cooking soon
And ppl slam Utd when they miss more than half of their first team player
Bigger expectations for MU since they used to be a big club in the past, and should be having the squad depth and player strength to face these kind of situations. Not the same for Brighton.
Can you guys do a vid on the term "The next so and so" and actually lived up to that hype. I feel like when all pundits, public etc. name the "The Next Zidane" blah blah no one lives up to it.
Amazing duo!
Liams great for a young lad. Impressive
More success equals more games, and more games means more players also being selected for national sides to play in meaningless friendlies, which all equates to more exhaustion and injury.
Time has come when you have to change every year like Pep 🇪🇸
Leverkusen style now is like Brighton's success!
Who needs scouts when players have podcasts
losing Julio Enciso was huge for Brighton. he is a fkn baller
buy 2 of their best midfielders, let them play twice a week, and have tons of injuries, that's the way to solve a great team.
A couple of weeks ago Brighton beat Ajax at home 2 : 0. Tonight, in the second leg, they beat Ajax away 0 : 2. Brighton are currently 7th in the Premiership. Found out?
ok yeah but they played a rock bottom team from the dutch league...
@@Osc1llateW1ldly Rock bottom? No, mid-table, like Chelsea.
true they won 2 matches on the bounce now@@johnhall42
De Zerbi got spiky hair
Always had it
Tifo so good man - am commenting to up engagement
I'm suprised they didn't get crushed by the loss of McCallister and Caicedo.
Solid analysis
It was just a matter of time Pep has managed to escape this because of his squad depth
The underlying numbers are sound
This new guy is impressive!
TiFo, exposing Brighton tactics every week, now they are struggling.
I wonder if these things are connected, lol?
What? Found out? They're 7th in the league while having a decent stab in Europe. Give them a break FFS!
Japan Football Association?
Where's Potter gone? If rdz got hit by a bus tomorrow would Brighton take Potter back? & If so do we reckon it'd work out?
Damn...from the penthouse to the...
TL;DW: not really
Lol but we knew. It is freaking de Zerbi mehn
Even though injuries have been a factor, De Zerbi defending tactics is horrendous and weak. He needs to sought that out or he is just Italian Potter.
Oh well
They sold their soul to Chelsea
Tifo delving head on in overreactions
They will still smash United
Well most teams do to be fair
Nek minit Ajax 1 Brighton 5
Caciedo left...the quarterback.....Gilmour and Dahoud are pony.
My dream is that one day technology become good enough that i csn get chats like thia fir my football manager team
Sad to see Tifo devolving into clickbait more and more
People were talking about De Zerbi as if he's the next Pep. He's the next Graham Potter.
potter is a decent manager. It was chelsea that is terrible.
@@dumpsteronfire23yes indeed although de zerbi is better than potter
Yes
No 😂
It’s funny how ETH and De Zerbi tactics are quite similar but one is praised on this channel and the other is slaughtered. I wonder why 🤔
They're not similar, and Ten Hag abandoned his philosophy after his poor start to the first season. There's a clear blueprint of how De Zerbi wants to play, and the team reflects that. Not the same case with MU.
Not similar at all
Imaginng praising these teams. Big club losing to them made them (Brighton Newcastle Villa west ham etc) think they are very good.
Wrong, big clubs downfall made these small clubs LOOKED GOOD
What are you talking about donwfall in fact teams like Arsenal have actually got better before last season Arsenal weren’t even in the top four other than Chelsea I wouldn’t say any of the other “big teams” have got worse as United have had there troubles for awhile long before Newcastle and Villa were challenging near the top. Villa are only 5 points off top and Newcastle are only 7 points off and they both still look fantastic to me

I think the reason why Brighton played so well is because of Graham Potter, since he left they have been steadily declining
it's not true. last sean under DZB was much better than Potter. Things have changed so many injuries after selling main players. Potter was just lucky with full members.
@@akas224 exactly my point, Potter left Brighton last season so his influence on the team was still there. Do you really think a coach like DZB could just come in and make a team play cohesively in such a short space of time like that? It was all Potter's work.
@@Eric_SA Ididn't deny Potter was great. I denyed "since he left they have been sreadily declining" . Brighton finished 6 th after Potter left which wasn't declining , but progressing.
@Eric_SA
Yes and no. I followed brighton throughout 22-23 season and their style of play changed drastically post-world cup. Dezerbi took charge pretty early but he knew that changing the style quickly would be horrible for the team. I think he gave them time to adapt and didnt invoke dezerbis style until late december in my opinion. If you look at past matches youll see it is very different. What potter did was create a good squad and helped with some wins but thats it. RDZ is responsible to make sure brighton didnt fall too hard with the changes
@@ilirianzuta6852 No he didnt change their style of play because the foundation was already laid, he only changed their formation to 4-2-2-2. No manager could just come in the middle of the season with no pre season and make the team play the way they were playing. De Zerbi is not responsible for the way Brighton play, its all Graham Potter, sooner or later people will realize that, mark my words
Palace > brighton baloon
Is this a serious comment, palace are in total joke mode at the moment. You need to have more faith in a better manager than poor old Roy
@@goych But you're right about Roy being old. In fact, it is so old that it is bigger than the history of Brighton🤣
@@neo10s43 he’s old but he’s not that old!
Loll you really dont know what overrated means
We get it😂😂 you're still mad because they clapped your favourite team last season
Imagine losing your two best midfielders and expect to be as good as the last season… Brighton without dz would not be a mid table team.
@@gianvidal What I said is I don't think De Zerbi is as good as people think but there are factors that work in his favor such as the outgoing transfers and the injuries. I wouldn't look into the transfers too much because the team has changed drastically all over so the midfield outgoings should not be as damaging. Regardless, we will only be able to judge him after his first full season and maybe not even then. Also, I get it, English is not your first language but it's not an excuse for completely flipping my comment upside down or your overenthusiastic approach to De Zerbi.
A lot of words to basically say "I think he is overrated but I can't make a compelling argument for why". Also what's up with that weird last part of your comment. Unpleasant
@@Allschmoi Oh look, yet another rando putting words in my mouth. Unpleasant.
So in conclusion they’re about the same! I think de zerbi took us to another level, we really struggled to assert our dominance with potter
Bang average squad of players who have massively overachieved to be where they are
Yes I know chelsea are overachieving, the key is to stick by them though 😜
