Thanks for a great video about a great pistol! FWIW, if your P30LS is in fact an original LEM with safety, it's actually a pretty rare item. Only about 500 were ever released in the US, supposedly from a contract overrun for a European police agency. The standard HK LEM guns do not have manual safeties at all, so this small batch is a serious novelty item of HK fans. HK USP and HK45 series pistols can be converted to LEM with a safety by HK, but the conversion on the P30 series (while technically possible) is not an HK authorized mod, so the company won't perform it and if a gunsmith or owner does it, it will void the warranty. You can easily check with HK to see if yours is one of the rare original ones. Contrary to what people say, and what was once true, HK doesn't think you suck or hate you. :) Their customer service is actually really, really good these days.
>If you do this basic mod, it voids your warranty >Contrary to what people say… HK doesn’t think you suck or hate you Sounds like they hate you and if you do minor changes they want nothing to do with you. CZ’s you can change decockers and safetys and you’re okay, and M17’s you can rip the safety out of and you’re still cool with SIG. HK seems to have a market for men who like to be degraded
Love the HK series. The mag release thing only exits if you remove the magazine. Once a mag is in the gun, the mag "up-tilt" goes way. I notice this on my HK45 and figured it out.
Walther has a paddle mag release on some of their pistols as well. Some believe that the paddle is more practical, especially for law enforcement/military. If a cop is fighting with someone rolling around on the ground the "button" release you see in other weapons could be depressed and release the mag. Same with military who might be crawling on the ground or if they have to hit the deck suddenly. The paddle eliminates that from happening. Just something to think about.
This was one of the first guns I ever fired at a range, absolutely loved it over everything else I tried. First gun I ever bought, and it's never getting sold!
@@stonefox9124 it’s almost impossible to find locally but just bought mine the other week brand new for $850 from Shooting surplus .. best deal I’ve seen since the Summer. They had 4 in stock and surprisingly they lasted almost a week. I saw people on Gunbroker paying $1000+ but that was a lil too much for me. For that extra $150 I could get 3/4 more mags or a compensator
When the Dirty Harry movie came out S&W sold a lot of Dirty Harry 44 magnum guns because people wanted the "Dirty Harry" gun. But people sold it because it was too big and difficult to handle. Now people say "I have got to get me a John Wick gun". If they do its more practical then the Dirty Harry gun.
I’m a huge John Wick fan. I am also a huge fan of the paddle mag release. My favorite is the 5” M1 PPQ. The reset however may cause me to be apprehensive in this case because I am used to the PPQ reset. Thanks for the video. I’m waiting for the M1 steel frame.
The magazine release does NOT creep up past the trigger guard when there is a magazine INSERTED. If you dryfire without a magazine in it, the catch does creep up a tiny bit, but if that's the case, just insert an empty mag or use snap caps
I wish that compensator was the real one. Unfortunately, that was a movie fake. The new HKparts Rail Mounted Compensator is pretty badass though. Check it out.
First time seeing one of your videos. I did come because I saw John Wick's Gun and was very curious. I know basic things about guns and have to admit this seems like a pretty nice one. And a very fair review. And after all that I especially found it refreshing you stated help out at your local homeless shelter and recycle. All around great video!!!
Love my P30L as a left handed shooter, controls are perfect for me. At least 7000 rds down range, zero problems. Initial break in required 147 grain approx 4-500 rds. Really feels great in the hand. My VP9 is also another great gun from HK, the lower bore axis really lets me shoot more accurate with quicker follow up shots. Great overview as usual!
@@CR-pl1xr Most people use 124gr to break in their gun. If needed. Do some research on your particular gun model. But in my experience, modern duty guns like the Glock 19, and P320 didn’t need a break in period. My Glock 19, P320, and Glock 30 have worked flawlessly out of the box with both defense and ball factory ammunition of different grains.
Had a USP 9 a few years ago I bought new and shot thoroughly for about 2yrs. I've owned a 226, Hi-Power, and of course a model 92; I realize personal preference is what it comes down to with pistols like these, true classics. But the HK always was my favorite. Very accurate, decocker (standard on USP), hi-cap..... absolute top tier pistol, price point aside. So after seeing the 'legacy' of the USP with this pistol, I have zero doubt about it's capability, period. HK makes awesome shit.
One of my favorite things about the club scene(because I'm autistic like that and hate "bottomless magazines" in movies) they actually kept track of his shots during the whole fight starting with 16+1 and having reloaded on half empty mags when entering a new area, then using those up too.
I realize this is an older video but I just got myself a P30L also and I noticed that the mag release only has that snagging point against your trigger finger when the mag isn't in the firearm. Having a mag lowers the lip of the release just enough so that it's in-line with the trigger guard.
The safety is there for a reason. It's the same way on the USPs, P2000, etc. The reason its there, and made so that you DON'T rest your thumb on it while shooting, is because for all the versions with SA and a decocker, the decocker is built into the safety, and is done by going from safe, to fire, past fire, and down all the way. EDIT: lol? 700-1000 rounds with 0 malfunctions? An HK USP will do about 30-35,000 rounds between malfunctions(that aren't related to ammo defects anyways - e.g. rounds with improperly seated primers) A P30 will do about 25-30k between malfunctions. Both of those numbers are from testers who only cleaned their firearms a dozen or so times total through 90+ thousand round tests. You have a LONG way to go before malfunctions... > P30 came before the VP9.
TheSkiingJeep I’ve got 15,000 rounds through my USP compact without a single malfunction. Cleaned it once because I was bored. My friend is SWAT team has put over 40k through and no malfunctions with zero cleans. They just don’t stop firing.
@@TeensierPython correct. On the P30 series pistols, the decocker is a separate button on the rear just like you said. It's not at all connected to the safety.
I haven't shot the P30, but I liked the H&K VP9 so much I bought the smaller VP9SK as my warm-weather carry gun (carry the VP9 with heavier clothing). I have Glocks, 1911s, M&Ps, etc. and all are fine guns...but the H&K, for me, delivered accuracy, reliability, ergonomics and trigger that were just the right mix.
A little late to this but it took me FOUR FUCKING YEARS to get one. I was signed up for email notifications to get in stock alerts and they were gone in minutes of me receiving those emails for four damn years
Finally, someone who got it right. Everybody thought it was a HK vp9. I guess some people don’t know as much as they think. All one had to do was look closely while wick is shooting. You can see the hammer moving.
Oh and yes, the V1 is an LEM trigger, or “law enforcement modification” trigger. I describe it as a “single action / double action trigger”, basically a long takeup clean breaking single action trigger with a secondary strike capability. Giving you striker like consistency, but still being able to hit a round again if it didn’t go off the first time. Which in a defensive/combat firearm is a feature I think of as extremely desirable.
Absolutely love that gun! Had a blast working with one last year but had to do the V3. Trying to find a V1 at some point! Great stuff as always brother!
Michael Edwards What kind of question is that !?!?! Any HK OVER smiff and vessen!! Was your question a joke !? M& P is pretty good gun HK S are some of the best guns ever made USP !!! P30
Thanks Outlaw, Ive recently been going through reviews of the P30L and other HK firearms. And your videos are by far the best. Thank you for not showing another video of just your hands like many others do and actually displaying the firearm from different angles. Good job!
I was lucky enough to pick up a couple of these P30L pistols new in the V3 version with night sights for $500 each. Both the 9mm & 40 S&W shoot great & are pretty damn accurate. Making shots at 100 seemed fairly easy too. I wish the capacity was slightly higher on each pistol but, overall I can’t complain. Never a single malfunction with mine either.
michael lehner I'm not talking about practice at the range ! I shoot a minimum of 200 rounds ea trip so 15 round mags is good for that In a real shooting you are likely to shoot 2 or 3 per target unless you stuck!😂
Mr FNH If I'm working 46 for my G19 and 8 for my back up! My XDS is more comfortable for summer carry, off duty .Gun is 1 in thick with 8 round extended mag Winter I can carry my HK P30L
I bought my P30L back in 2014 and I love it! OMG you got a steal of a deal! Whomever you bought it from threw in the extra mags and the match weight. The P30L only comes with two mags from the factory and the match weight is an after market part. Again I bought mine back in 2014, but I didn't pay $400-$500 more like $900 and that's pretty much a standard price range for H&K's (pricer than most pistols).
I am going to buy my first gun ever soon. And I came down to this model, this excellent video just confirmed my idea and choice. Thanks for that great video
For those considering this weight, note that it has a plastic retaining clip on the bottom that is prone to snapping off. I'd recommend picking up their aluminum rail adapter in addition to replace this piece or to, instead, go with another brand like IMM.
I used this video for part of decision making for my FIRST GUN. After long consideration I “pulled the trigger” no pun intended and went with the P30L .40S&W with the safety & the decocker as my EDC pistol. I was afraid the size was gonna be a lot for a first timer, but it’s awesome and I got a Tulster holster, it’s not many holster options like other models, but I like my holster. I’ve had this gun for about a year, I love it, I mean it’s John wicks gun with a lil extra sauce being a .40S&W. I’ve put 100’s of rounds through it and it’s never jammed, went to the range with the guys and the beretta jammed, & the Glock jammed, but not the H&K. You pull this baby out and you can tell it means business! I was afraid of running one in the chamber but the strong trigger being over 10lbs made me feel at ease and I learned that it’s nothing to be afraid of, besides not being prepared. Only down side is that now I love HK weapons and with spend a lot of money with them. 😢 Oh yeah my buddy DID NOT realize at first that it was a .40S&W and loaded a 9mm. While it shot, the sound was different which made me realize something was off, but we’re good😂
that's what bothers me in most action movies. I invented a drinking game with my friends: count the shots fired and if the protagonist fires more than the magazin can hold everyone has to drink.
Moimus tbf they rly did try to make it pretty accurate in John wick but there in pretty much every movie the gun has mags that are half invisible or something
Man. I'll give you that in JW2, but in the original they did try to keep him counting bullets, and it added to his badass cool headed hitman persona. At least the whole home invasion scene and club ones he counts all the time. He points that when when he's empty, he uses another way to off the guy or goes into cover to reload. At that moment I knew I wasn't watching just another action flick.
@@Moimus that's wrong if you watch the movie again you'll notice he does reload and there's even a part in the movie where he completely runs out of ammo so he throws the entire gun at the persons face then tackles him
I bought the P30L V3. No safety with rear decocker. Flawlessly Perfect battle or match gun. This is what it took to erase Glock after 4 decades of being Glock oriented !
Rafael Alódio ......What are you talking about?......Halkeye never uses a gun In any comic. Not even M.A.S.H.'s Halkeye which Is a soldier uses a gun.......lol
Frankie Gunnz, it satay in his holster most of the time, but there is a scene which he shots a ground of glass that Quicksilver is standing, then it have a slow mention scene of the bullet passing in front of his eyes and he falls and then Hawkeye says "You didn't saw that coming".
It IS a compensator. It's basically an AK style slant brake of a slightly different flavor. Pressured gas exiting the barrel pushes on the bottom of that trough but there's no compensating force from the other direction. So it pushes the barrel down and reduces muzzle flip. It's not just a weight. It's a compensator.
I have the V3. Best of BOTH WORLDS… If you are confused and Right Handed the V3 is the best way to go… Wikipedia this and scroll down to “Variants” then pick which one you want… ((Be careful which one you order…)) Be sure to order the correct UPC/Model#… Im a Right hander… Mine was the V3 Safety on the Left/Right side of the gun. With a De-Cocker on the left side of the hammer.. Hope this helps my right handed buddies that want this gun with all the bells and whistles.. Thanks HK for giving us options… WE ALL APPRECIATE THIS…👍🏽
First of all it was a TTI-modified Glock, and the only reason it was there (along with the TTI AR and the TTI Benelli) is because that movie is a commercial for Taran Butler's fat ass. It's a piece of garbage film and an insult to its predecessor, to say the least.
@walker jfs - Oh, ok. I always forget that Dixon makes pencils, I don't even think about the maker of the pencils.😊 I bought a set of pencils a while back and just looked at them again...they're Dixons, all ten of them.😆
Great review, $400 is a legit steal! I just got my hands on a p30 v3 (no safety ftw) absolutely free (legally i promise) and disregarding the fact ive always wanted an hk, it is just an amazing gun overall and just feels so damn good in my hands. The r3d illuminated iron sights are great too, ive never had any stock illuminated sights and i was super hyped about that. On a side note, i kinda get the "hk fanboy" stereo type, they are just engineered and designed, and just a 10/10 gun
They issued this gun in the no external safety version to the Norwegian police. It did not take long for the police to rack up a 10-1 ratio of shooting themselves, locker rooms, mirrors and squad cars vs. shooting bad guys. The lack of external safety and magazine safety made this gun very dangerous for a police force that has as little firearms training as the Norwegian one.
These days very few serve as they are moving to a more professional based military for the sharp edge of the sword and even back when the numbers were bigger only a few got proper firearms training other than shooting rifles at static targets on a range. Technically there is still compulsory service, but only about 10% are drafted each year. Even with military training just a few trained with handguns and even fewer ever had to deal with a pistol with one in the chamber everyday.
Aaaaaaaah do NOT call a Jericho 941 a "baby Desert Eagle" :O It's have NOTHING to do with a Desert Eagle, maybe a very slight visual similarity. It is based on the CZ-75, and was nick-named the "baby Desert Eagle" because the Desert Eagle was really popular at the time when IMI (Israeli Military Industries) spliced and created IWI (Israeli Weapon Industries) which would be branch selling to the civilian market. Relating the Jericho to the Desert Eagle was a cringe marketing move. Sorry to sounds like a snob douche about the Jericho but that al-ways makes me cringe xD
During the firearm/ammo shortage of early 2013, the last firearm and ammo on the shelves of my local LGS was .40 cal. Prior to that, most people would say that 9mm being the most popular, it would be the last to disappear from the shelves. WRONG! People bought up as much as they could carry out the door. Anyways, I decided the next firearm I would buy would be in .40 cal. After checking many different firearms, I felt the H&K P30 would work best for me. Luckily the one available was an 'L' and a v.1. Ergonomically it was the best firearm I ever held in my hand until I bought a Browning HP. While I do have a .45, I think the H&K .40 is a nice complement to my collection...ie. 9mm, .40 and .45. As stated by another, the only problem I have with it is my fingers are not long enough to reach the magazine release. Other then that, a truly great gun! ...I figured out to drop the magazine, to use my trigger finger instead of my thumb!
Very cool gun. H&K's make some awesome and reliable firearms in the market. I would trust my life with a H&K. Wish that i had one in my collection. Another awesome review Honest Outlaw.
My friends have a USP H&K and a MK23. I us to shot a lot with them in Illinois. But i moved to Virginia and i wish that i had one. Also the Navy Seals use them on special missions.
King's Firearms still has police trade-in dao USP .40s for about $400, they also have trade-in .40 P30s for a bit more. I suppose their .45 USPs are gone now. I got one and it has quite a bit of holster wear, but it is an HK, it will last until the apocalypse either way.
No problem at all. I have read you can get 9mm conversion barrels for the P30s too. I'm still thinking about it, but I would prefer one of the ones with the thumb safety, and they don't have them.
The fact that this gun can be a tad slow on the trigger pull/release (mainly) just makes John Wick even more cool. Like this idea that he could be even faster but just works with whatever he's given. Like when Morpheus gives him the 6 shot handgun.
Yes. That’s true. But John wick uses the DA/SA trigger. Which is double action on your first shot(assuming you don’t precock the hammer) And then it turns to a single action.
Great Review as usual. I am looking at one from Langdon Tatical with the light LEM trigger and no safety. I was a DOD LEO, and we went to 40 S&W witch I grew to really like. It just has good stopping power and reallty good on barriers. Some of the special operations in the sand box box went with H&Ks and said they were absolutely indestructible. We actually had H&K G-36s on post and they were beasts. They were a little heavy, but we had them on post and did not have to hump them for any distance.
You finger will not contact the mag release when there is a magazine in the pistol. Without one inserted, the paddles ride a little high and your finger can rub. You'll only notice this while dry firing with the magwell empty.
The mag release goes flush when you place a mag in the pistol, so did you really have an issue while shooting, or just when playing with your unloaded pistol?
So this may sound crazy but it really worked: I personally prefer blacked out rear sights, so I Sharpied by rear sights black...... the finish actually turned out perfect. It dried non shiny and matched the sights perfectly and the sights still glow through the black ink easily. I have to say I'm extremely suprised at the results and how well the sights still glow under the ink at night. Before you freak out it removes easily with an alcohol wipe if you mess up or end up not liking the set up.
My wife has a P99 with the paddle mag release. She uses the thumb on her off hand to hit the paddle as she is reaching for her next magazine. It works Great.
TheInkinJapan 😂 Wow 1 spelling mistake made by a phone, sets you off this bad? Good luck in teaching your class Mr. professor..seems like you’ll need it! Carry on
One of my HK carries is a P30SK-S with an XS 24/7 Big Dot sight, with a Sig FOXTROT 1 Light, stoked with Barnes TAC-XP +P 115 GR HP. It accepts and I carry my USP Compact extended mags for it. I really like this combo. I wish my USP-C's could have their rails remolded without having to use adapters. The P-30's corrected that issue. The ONLY striker fired gun I trust is my PSP. 😉
Great review. I have two P30Ls. I realize they are out of favor with the in-crowd, but I like them anyway, and there are some great bargains on these lately.
I like my Wick Stick more each time I shoot it. The only con is the slide gets hot after a few magazines and no other gun known gets as hot as this one does.
Somebody likely already mentioned this but the mag release sticking up and catching on your fingernail is ONLY when there is no mag installed. With a mag installed the release moves down flush with the trigger guard.
I have the P30L version with the decocker in the back of the slide. That way I can carry cocked and locked. The trigger is better than LEM trigger. And when I put off safe I don't have to worry about pushing the lever too far and decocking it. The safety works fine with my 1911 thumb. The magazine release is a little too different. I took a nail file and smoothed out the rough edges around the trigger Guard and also widened the area around the magazine releases making it a lot easier to use. This is one of my new favorite HKs. Cheers
I’m relatively new to your channel and I’ve come to respect your knowledge on weapons. I prefer the Heckler Koch because they have LARGE FRAMES that fits my unusually LARGE hands and I’ve owned the USP for 20 years and I couldn’t be happier!!!
As a leftie, I'm used to using my middle finger to press the mag release. It's SO much easier to use my middle finger on HK guns. I have a VP9 and I just LOVE the mag release, but I'm not a huge fan of (read: am not good at shooting) striker fired guns. I think the P30L might be the gun for me. I started on 1911/2011s but recently I got into CZs and I LOVE them. Funny, I've been watching your videos for multiple years now so I'm not sure how I missed this video but I'm glad I came across it now.

I wish that compensator was the real one. Unfortunately, that was a movie fake. The new HKparts Rail Mounted Compensator is pretty badass though. Check it out.
@@Sheild_against_the_wicked556 for John wick it was a real compensater. They just don’t make them for us cause they’re super expensive custom.
Great review! I've always been a great fan of HKs. My favorite is the HK45 and the compact version for carry.
Newbie here. Why do you need to use 147 grain for initial break in?
I like this guy he talks fast doesn’t repeat himself gives you pertinent information very rare on this channel
I realize this is an older video but I just got myself a P30L also and I noticed that the mag release only has that snagging point against your trigger finger when the mag isn't in the firearm. Having a mag lowers the lip of the release just enough so that it's in-line with the trigger guard.
Thank you, same as the hk 45
The safety is there for a reason.
It's the same way on the USPs, P2000, etc.
The reason its there, and made so that you DON'T rest your thumb on it while shooting, is because for all the versions with SA and a decocker, the decocker is built into the safety, and is done by going from safe, to fire, past fire, and down all the way.
EDIT: lol? 700-1000 rounds with 0 malfunctions?
An HK USP will do about 30-35,000 rounds between malfunctions(that aren't related to ammo defects anyways - e.g. rounds with improperly seated primers)
A P30 will do about 25-30k between malfunctions.
I thought the p30 had a button on the back of the slide for the decocker
@@TeensierPython correct. On the P30 series pistols, the decocker is a separate button on the rear just like you said. It's not at all connected to the safety.
I haven't shot the P30, but I liked the H&K VP9 so much I bought the smaller VP9SK as my warm-weather carry gun (carry the VP9 with heavier clothing). I have Glocks, 1911s, M&Ps, etc. and all are fine guns...but the H&K, for me, delivered accuracy, reliability, ergonomics and trigger that were just the right mix.
SOLD OUT EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A little late to this but it took me FOUR FUCKING YEARS to get one. I was signed up for email notifications to get in stock alerts and they were gone in minutes of me receiving those emails for four damn years
@@TheReptileRick0728 2 years later and it has only gotten worse
I have a HK USP sub 40 and I love it. Good weight, accuracy and just a awesome pistol. It was my first. 2nd was a sig.
Absolutely love that gun! Had a blast working with one last year but had to do the V3. Trying to find a V1 at some point! Great stuff as always brother!
Thanks man the LEM trigger takes some getting used to but it's awesome, you really need to try it.
Can you review a USP
I know they are still pretty expensive 😔
Honest Outlaw Reviews you like this over MP 2.0?
Michael Edwards
What kind of question is that !?!?!
Any HK OVER smiff and vessen!!
Was your question a joke !?
M& P is pretty good gun
HK S are some of the best guns ever made
USP !!! P30
Aaron Diaz I had a vp9 and sold it great gun but too big to conceal carry, more of a duty size/bed side gun imo.
Thanks Outlaw,
Ive recently been going through reviews of the P30L and other HK firearms.
Mr FNH
What's with you guys and capacity !?
Average cop shooting is 4 rounds
Civilians 1 or 2 rounds
michael lehner
I'm not talking about practice at the range !
I shoot a minimum of 200 rounds ea trip so 15 round mags is good for that
In a real shooting you are likely to shoot 2 or 3 per target unless you stuck!😂
Mr FNH
If I'm working 46 for my G19 and 8 for my back up!
My XDS is more comfortable for summer carry, off duty .Gun is 1 in thick with 8 round extended mag
Winter I can carry my HK P30L
michael lehner
I'm definitely not against higher capacity but when ppl start saying I'd rather have 17 over 15 or 19 over 17 it gets ridiculous!?
Mr FNH Bet you feel pretty stupid now, eh? When you assume, you make an ASS out of u and - well, just you.
Did u end up finding one?
I have a standard P30 V1, LEM. I love it. No safety.
Just a fabulous gun and shooter.
What I really like about this pistol is the thumb safety. I don’t care for trigger safeties.
I have a HK P30L with well over 38,000 rounds with absolutely no issues, great gun
Oh yeah my buddy DID NOT realize at first that it was a .40S&W and loaded a 9mm. While it shot, the sound was different which made me realize something was off, but we’re good😂
Legend has it that John Wick doesn't need to refill the gun, he just keeps shooting.
that's what bothers me in most action movies.
@@Moimus that's wrong if you watch the movie again you'll notice he does reload and there's even a part in the movie where he completely runs out of ammo so he throws the entire gun at the persons face then tackles him
@@zachattack8414 sometimes projectile is the last resort
I bought the P30L V3. No safety with rear decocker. Flawlessly Perfect battle or match gun. This is what it took to erase Glock after 4 decades of being Glock oriented !
Update. I also now carry HK P2000 and P2000sk both Lem triggers. Great great weapons !
How accurate is it? I really wanna pick one up chambered in .40?
Great handgun, John Wick endorsement aside, thanks for sharing!
4:26 The magazine release is in a higher position when the magazine is not installed. When the magazine is in the release levers are lower.
The P30 is also Halkeye secondary weapon, if anyone cares.
Actually...
No one does .-.
Rafael Alódio ......What are you talking about?......Halkeye never uses a gun In any comic. Not even M.A.S.H.'s Halkeye which Is a soldier uses a gun.......lol
He uses in the movie, Age of Ultron if I'm not mistaken.
Rafael Alódio Really In what scene? I don't remember him using any gun.
That mag release is flat when you have a mag inserted, it is only elevated if you do not have a mag in.
I have the V3. Best of BOTH WORLDS… If you are confused and Right Handed the V3 is the best way to go…
Wikipedia this and scroll down to “Variants” then pick which one you want…
((Be careful which one you order…))
Be sure to order the correct UPC/Model#…
Im a Right hander… Mine was the V3 Safety on the Left/Right side of the gun. With a De-Cocker on the left side of the hammer..
Hope this helps my right handed buddies that want this gun with all the bells and whistles..
Thanks HK for giving us options… WE ALL APPRECIATE THIS…👍🏽
Shoots smoother than a VP9.....damn hard to believe
John Wick also used a sexy AR15....but this hand gun is nice for sure and 3 magazines come with it! love it....that alone is a huge plus point...
Oohh I need to get one of these. How is its rhythm?
lol pretty good, a little slow
0:43 umm, that is such a beautiful profile.
wait, it all looks beautiful!!!
I'm sad they gave him a Glock in the second one. Yeah, he had a Glock 26 originally and the new Glock was pretty cool but still... :(
Sean I liked the guns in the first movie more
First of all it was a TTI-modified Glock, and the only reason it was there (along with the TTI AR and the TTI Benelli) is because that movie is a commercial for Taran Butler's fat ass. It's a piece of garbage film and an insult to its predecessor, to say the least.
John Wick maybe I should have clarified, "pretty cool FOR A GLOCK."
John Wick butthurt much ?
Sean generally speaking what is wrong with Glocks?
John doesn't need a damn gun!
All he need is a fooking pencil
..with a pencil. Yeah I've heard the story.
@@Dharmaaaaaa Who does that??? "if anything, the stories you've heard have been watered down".
@walker jfs - Hmm, are you talkin' Daryl Dixon or some other Dixon, cuz Daryl comes to mind for me being a TWD fan.😄
On a side note, i kinda get the "hk fanboy" stereo type, they are just engineered and designed, and just a 10/10 gun
why does everyone seem to like no safety? do you all think your som high speed navy seals or something. "this my safety sir"🥴
I love shooting .40 and I got rid of my last .40 cal. pistol and I think this will be the best replacement.
There's a .40 S&W version of this as well.
Rustknuckle Irongut I thought they did compulsory national service in Norway?
These days very few serve as they are moving to a more professional based military for the sharp edge of the sword and even back when the numbers were bigger only a few got proper firearms training other than shooting rifles at static targets on a range. Technically there is still compulsory service, but only about 10% are drafted each year. Even with military training just a few trained with handguns and even fewer ever had to deal with a pistol with one in the chamber everyday.
A good argument for better training, for sure.
When you insert a magazine the mag release lever does not stick up as high
I CARRIED A P30 V3 FOR A SHORT TIME AND LOVED IT!
matthew turner What happened to it? I still have mine. HK brothers for life never forget!
DID YOU SHOOT YOUR CAPS LOCK KEY WITH IT?
I thought the same thing about the trigger pull , but it has a very crisp feel to it
Now I have to buy another gun Damn! I just bought a baby Desert Eagle! Have to start saving money again!
Jerry Johnson II How can you trust the company if you don't ha e any of their firearms?
My friends have a USP H&K and a MK23. I us to shot a lot with them in Illinois. But i moved to Virginia and i wish that i had one. Also the Navy Seals use them on special missions.
King's Firearms still has police trade-in dao USP .40s for about $400, they also have trade-in .40 P30s for a bit more. I suppose their .45 USPs are gone now. I got one and it has quite a bit of holster wear, but it is an HK, it will last until the apocalypse either way.
Cool bro, thanks for the information about the H&K's
No problem at all. I have read you can get 9mm conversion barrels for the P30s too. I'm still thinking about it, but I would prefer one of the ones with the thumb safety, and they don't have them.
I have the P2000 with the LEM trigger and I really like the safety and the feel of the pull. They decock after every shot.
If that trigger is factory that gun is pretty rare. They only imported 500 P30LS-V1's.
Which is double action on your first shot(assuming you don’t precock the hammer)
And then it turns to a single action.
Love my HK P30L V1...love all light LEM triggers! Not the safety on yours though. Good review.
Good shooting! Heard a ping for every shot, even the long range stuff. Well done.
I am a 100% Heckler & Koch fanboy. Why? BECAUSE THEIR WEAPONS ARE FUCKING AWESOMENESS!
The P-30 melts into my hands so well that I forget where my hands end and the gun begins.
Love the interchangeable side panels!!
Ya who holds their gun at a downward angle while shooting- that was just BS.
I own an hk... badass piece of machinery. Your right about the trigger pull!! Awesome weapon. Fine German engineering. I got 3 10 round clips.👍😃
Magazine release catches only when the magazine isn't in the gun.
Before you freak out it removes easily with an alcohol wipe if you mess up or end up not liking the set up.
you might have talked me into a 9MM other then a S&W M&P model. nice review
My wife has a P99 with the paddle mag release. She uses the thumb on her off hand to hit the paddle as she is reaching for her next magazine. It works Great.

the pencil is mightier than the HK P30L
P30L grip is really really great. Overall fairly soft and well made 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Great review. I have two P30Ls. I realize they are out of favor with the in-crowd, but I like them anyway, and there are some great bargains on these lately.
AF-O6 yeah I thought I got a great deal on mine when I paid $600 with 5 mags a few years ago. The sales currently are nuts.
WJP556 u guys got links to any? I'd love to pick one up
Armymi33 if I find one I will post it. Watch the equipment exchange on ar15.com I have found some great new and used deals on there.
WJP556 I'll take a look. Thanks
AF-O6 what do they go for now?
I like my Wick Stick more each time I shoot it.
The only con is the slide gets hot after a few magazines and no other gun known gets as hot as this one does.
Love the review, I have to add though, you're a helluva shot!
Somebody likely already mentioned this but the mag release sticking up and catching on your fingernail is ONLY when there is no mag installed. With a mag installed the release moves down flush with the trigger guard.
2:23 - "a four point *found* trigger pull" ? lol.
He's in love, make his brain loopy, shhhh
lol so true
Lmao
I have it and its awesome
Put about 800 rounds through it and everything perfect yet
I have the P30L version with the decocker in the back of the slide.
That way I can carry cocked and locked. The
trigger is better than LEM trigger.
Cheers
This guy gets it. I have P30S and carry the same way.
I’m relatively new to your channel and I’ve come to respect your knowledge on weapons. I prefer the Heckler Koch because they have LARGE FRAMES that fits my unusually LARGE hands and I’ve owned the USP for 20 years and I couldn’t be happier!!!
Can You Do A Review Of The * Steyr M9 A1 * ?
As a leftie, I'm used to using my middle finger to press the mag release. It's SO much easier to use my middle finger on HK guns. I have a VP9 and I just LOVE the mag release, but I'm not a huge fan of (read: am not good at shooting) striker fired guns. I think the P30L might be the gun for me. I started on 1911/2011s but recently I got into CZs and I LOVE them. Funny, I've been watching your videos for multiple years now so I'm not sure how I missed this video but I'm glad I came across it now.
$400? You win.
