  • Here is a demo of my new Marshall SV20h. The settings I'm using are in the video and I was mainly testing out the ts-808 pedal. I will be doing a proper video on what each of my amps sound like with the mic's in the same position.
It's an extremely versatile amp, one of the most versatile I own I believe. Enjoy :)

Low input + jumping to either high or low is the way with this one. That's how you get it to sound like it's big brothers. Amazing amp. Love mine.

Good equipment you got there! You've got a very nice crush sound with pedals off, but in my opinion, i would approach different way when using pedals in front. Your sound is allready a little compressed without pedals, i would use the boss compressor just a tinny bit and before the equalizer..and try other thing. If you are boosting some freqs in the equalizer, try to level down the overall gain off the equ in the same amount. Enjoy that amp! Cheers

Why is the LED blinking on and off? Cool amp. I like my SV20 a lot. How do you like that Boss Compressor? They look cool. I thought that I heard that it does multiple bands of compression or at least is an 'intelligent' type of compressor overall.

Howdy, it's just the refresh rare of the camera's video, it's solid when not recording haha
I love the boss compressor, it seems to just work and it's extremely transparent! When I'm playing, everything is tighter and more alive when it's on. I don't know how to explain it properly, but I know if it's off, the way I approach playing is different, if that makes sense?
Just based on how my sound becomes more consistent makes it worth it in my opinion, hope that helps if you wanted to get one 😊

Try turning your treble down even to zero. And use presence to get the treble. It sounds amazing though. Great playimg btw.

I used the silver jubilee cabinet (2551a) I think it is, ha marshall vintage speakers in it.
In my latest videos I used a 2x12 with greenbacks and they're amazing, 100% prefer them over the v30s

    I play mine through a 2x12 with a 25w greenback, and g12h Anniversary 30w.
    Also thriught a 4x12 with, 4x 25w greenbacks.
When playing lead ill use a Schaeffer replica pedal. Nothing else. Otherwise playing only rhythm i just plug it in.

How does the g12h anniversary sound in comparison to the greenbacks? I love the greenbacks I have in a 2x12, that's the sound in the last few recordings I've done. The v30s are good but they lack something in comparison

@@mcsstudiosunderdevelopment6257 anniversary gives it bottom and top end. Sounds really really good. Crank it and its ballsy af and thats without pedals. And it sounds amazing right out of the box. No need to break them in to get a good sound. Has lot of oomph. Even with the bass low like on 2.5 there'd a lot of oomoh.

      100%
59 les paul into a small marshall micro amp will sound crap
Epiphone with the same electronics as a gibson will sound pretty close to a gibson into a marshall
I'd rather spend money on Amps and mics then 10k on a Gibson.
I've also got a 2008 slash gibson goldtop and I prefer to play this Epiphone 😂
