I used the air fryer with my chicken wings today and tweaked the sauce a bit. It was soooo good! Coated the wings in rice flour mixed with some baking soda, garlic powder and salt/pepper. Airfried for 350F 12 mins.. flipped then 400F for 10 mins. For the sauce I used a bit less honey and sugar and added a bit more soy sauce and white vinegar. It was like this heavenly sweet mild and tangy flavor.

Hi Marion , I made ur recipe yesterday. The chicken was perfectly cooked in the oven. Made the sauce, added little chilli flakes ( like things spicy), added brown sugar instead of white. Pour the sauce over the chicken and it was damn yummy. Me and my sister couldn't stop eating until we finished all. Thanks for such a wonderful recipe. ❤
the chicken was crispy outside and tender inside, the sweet and spicy both flavors were delicious.

I think she purposely doesn’t give that one very important detail, bc like someone else mentioned, she’s also trying to draw you to her website. Which is pretty smart! Baking wings is so much healthier than frying! I started baking my wings about a year ago and I swear by it! Is it as crispy as frying? Of course not but it's close. And to me, having a little less crispy is worth being much more healthy. And FYI, if you add just a little bit of corn starch to the baking powder, it will also help give them some extra crisp. If you love wings but feel guilty after eating them, baking them is a must try!

This recipe was a big family hit!!!🔥🔥🔥 Very delicious. Followed the recipe and then added a bit of red chili flakes to the sticky sauce for a bit of heat. I was worried about it being too sweet but it was honestly perfect. I lightly coated each drumstick individually before plating. Served it with jasmine rice and a korean salad. 🤤🤤🤤

Hello from Oregon! This was the best tasting baked chicken I have done in 10 years! Such a simple recipe and thank God I was too exhausted to mess with it by adding more seasoning! I had thawed some chicken legs to deep fry the next day but ended up having to take my mom to the hospital for worsening back pain and it turned out she had to have surgery. But before that I spent 8 + hours a day for the last three days assisting my mom because the hospital was not communicating anything and my mom kept calling all night in a panic because one minute they were preparing her for surgery and the next they were telling her they had been mistaken then the fiasco would start all over with the next shift and the many doctors. Needless to say I had a total of 4 hours sleep in 3 days and It’s a wonder I didn’t end up in a car accident traveling the 51 mile round trip every day to the hospital to intervene in the circus my moms care had become. I came home tonight to unthawed chicken legs that had to be dealt with or ditched and with today’s food prices off the charts I had to get it done before I could collapse into bed. I went looking on UA-cam for a simple baked chicken leg recipe and your channel came up with this video. Normally I would have added a lot more seasoning and basted the chicken once while baking because I would think your recipe was not seasoned enough but I had no energy left and was nigh on delirious from sleep deprivations so I followed your recipe exactly except I didn’t have any honey so I thought I would just do the baking now and save the sauce making for later after I sleep for a really long time. The chicken came out crispy on the outside, juicy inside and the flavor with just the baking powder and salt was too good to be true! That chicken didn’t even need that sauce to be fantastic! That sauce was just an added benefit but the chicken could stand on its own two feet without it! Thank you so much for this wonderful recipe and Thank you God for teaching me that humbling myself by trusting someone else’s recipe without monkeying with it is a virtue and could yeild surprising and wonderful discoveries.

Made this a week or so ago. I only had 1.5 pounds of chicken instead of the 3 pounds the recipe called for. I made the full recipe for the sticky honey sauce and saved the left over sauce. I used about a third of it in the meat mix for a meatloaf, the rest I reduced some more and added some ketchup to make a glaze for the meatloaf. Both the chicken and the meatloaf came out fantastic.

My drumsticks didn’t turn out as crispy. Maybe my oven temp is slightly off. Can I use a higher temp for shorter time on the final 45 min?

I think the trick is making sure your chicken is really dry looking on the first step. Depending on how well you dried your chicken legs and how big they are 30 minutes for the first step might not be long enough. I had pretty big drumsticks and they just looked like they needed more time to dry before the second step of higher heat. Hopefully that makes sense.

@@Maliaariadne and it also depends on the oven. I had to wait more than an hour just for my big drumsticks to turn golden brown. For my oven, I have to wait at least an hour before I put my drumsticks in at 250 F. Otherwise it’s still stark white at 30 mins.

Sauce is yum but i tweaked it a bit, added Gochujang and doenjang to give that korean kick. It tasted more awesome.

I made this today and it was so good! Only thing I changed was I reduce the amount of sugar by half as I found that it really didn't need that much sweetness.

I've tested and figured out something:
45' cook is pretty long and makes the chicken dry. I only set it at 30' but still it dried. So 15' is the best.
1/2 tsb of baking powder is still a little bit too much. The chicken is pretty bitter after cook, specially eating without coat sauce. Maybe reduced the baking soda would be great. The baking soda trully makes the chicken more cripsy.
Over all the recipe is good, I really enjoyed it.

    Hey Mazza
Add grated ginger, and a pinch of five spice and a drop of sesame oil to take it next level.
