Many thanks for this. First and foremost, it is a real pleasure to hear; secondly, it has brought an end to a few days of intermittent mental torture; I'll explain. I sang this in my school's choir for a Founders' Day service. That was over fifty years ago and to the best of my knowledge I hadn't heard it since. Then, a week ago or so, the words (as far as "...sheep of His pasture" anyway) and tune suddenly came into my head and I thought it would be nice to hear them again - but I didn't know who the composer was. My searches turned up endless recordings of settings by Rutter, Handel and Purcell, but clearly they were not what I remembered; and then I found this! To me C.V. Stanford just meant "Songs of the Sea", but I realise now that there is much more to him than that. Thank you again.
Wonderful singing, you deserve loads of likes and comments.
Beautifully performed 👏
One of me faves!
Fantastic achievement!
