Pale skin guy here. OG you’re exactly right. I found that navy, charcoal and dark grays work best against my skin tone. Thanks for keeping us all in style!
Same here....very pale skin. And same colors for me as well: Charcoal, Navy, Dark Gray work best. But after experimenting with other neutral colors in the color wheel, I found a few others that work well too. Soft Black, bright White, Light Burgundy gray, Deep Burgundy, Maroon, Ochre, Aqua Marine Blue, etc.
I use the James “ghost” St. Patrick approach in this matter. Monochromatics are my go-to when I dress up for work, especially with dark navy, royal blue, black, dark grey, charcoal, dark brown/tan, olive green, dark purple/plum/burgundy. I’m dark-skinned and I found that those colors work very well and the ladies notice every time. I usually stay away from white - unless it’s my dress shirt and I’m going for a basic professional look. I don’t even wear a belt anymore. My dress pants have the hook closure and horizontal button, which fastens my pants to my comfort. Add that with a compliment fragrance, and the results don’t lie.
Redhead here. I prefer gold over silver, but current eyeglass frames are pewter. For clothes, I go for lighter-pastel colors, tans, browns, greens, blues, but a lot of darks as well, mostly in the black/charcoal/grey family. I think the lighter tans/browns/greens go best with the hair color. Great information as usual.
As a deep dark chocolate complexion gentleman, I'm blessed to wear most colors, however, I tend to wear more muted colors such as blue, gray, and brown!
Definitely a warmer skin tone and I always get compliments when I wear earth tones like brown, dark yellows and army greens/olive and gold. I also feel like everybody looks great in black
Thanks for this. You and Vladimir are the only creators I subscribe to and consistently watch that speak to the questions like this. Would also dig a show or two about black mens hair and grooming, greying and thinning brothers and so on. With our hair, there are underlying politics at play too. And coloring is a slippery slope that girl men fall into when, for most, the grey his better (unless you're Lenny Kravitz and can hit new growth every few days. Salute to the Style OG
Salute, my bro❤❤. This was and excellent Gtopic. I can use this information for myself !! I really appreciate this knowledge. It helped me to figure out my under tone. Lol lol. Thanks bro❤
If your skin tone is warm, bordering on hot - what’s the word on the classic powder blue Oxford? I think of that as an essential, but it does give that pastel vibe a bit.
It's one of those white shirt alternatives so it's a blank canvas for everything else like the suit/jacket, tie and pocket square. It doesn't really count.
Greens for cool undertone! Jewel tones are also not suitable for all cool undertones. This is a very complex and misleading topic, however thank you for the video.
Or simply leave it to the professionals. When looking through clothing ads make sure the model wearing the clothes has a similar skin tone to you. If so, that clothing would probably also look well on you. They think about all that before dressing the model in the clothing in order to better sell/bring out the look of the clothes.
@@danieldickson4656 I have better things to do then figure out color palette crap. Bought a couple shirts from an Old Navy catalog that I saw worn by a model with my same skin, compliments every time. And that’s with some mediocre T-shirts from Old Navy. I’ve done the same with higher end suits etc. I’m not a beta male chick, I have better things to do than figure out clothing colors etc

Before you’re done, you might want to replay the video to see OG’s 3rd category: Neutral Skin Tones. Not only does he talk about pale and fair skinned complexion, he shows pics of 4 or 5 whites, as examples of that skin tone. Btw,The guy in the trench coat looks like a younger version of Nicholas Cage!

My friends joke that in the summer my skin tone turns me into a Dominican. Always liked earth tones; you've confirmed it. Thanks!
Understanding your color wheel can create a plateau of outfits even on a Budget
Indeed!
Fair skin to the shade of neutral. My experience has been earth-tones including mauve, olive

so what works for ALL??
@TheStyleOG
The honest answer is nothing.
If someone wants to dress according to their skin tone, they should go for individual counseling.

Biracial dude - this is never easy 😅 but navy and maroon seem to work pretty okay!
appreciate the input!

My lady thinks most colours work w/ my dark skin. Especially red blue and white
video a bit confusing with all these tones u mentioned. why not just say, white, brown, dark brown
i used 3 tones, just like you just did..
@@TheStyleOG 😆well i guess im brown which is middle tone?
See… I always thought dark skinned people looked better in silver, platinum or white gold. Pale people looked better in gold. It’s the contrast.
Can you please instant replay that again
