How to Make a Christmas Wreath

Making your own Christmas wreath will save you money, and it’s a super fun activity to do with friends/neighbors/kids. It’s not as hard as you would think, you just need a bit of creativity and some greenery!
For supplies I used:
- Wire wreath frame (I like using a 16" one)
- Florist wire (I like using 24 or 26 gauge)
- Greenery (I usually use cedar as a base, and then add in pine/hemlock etc.)
- Accent pieces (I use pinecones, ilex, and eucalyptus generally)
The steps I do are:
- Cut Greenery (using pruners)
- Create a Bundle of Greens
- Start Attaching the Greens To the Wreath Frame Using Wire
- Layer on Subsequent Bundles
- Tie off the Wreath By Weaving the Wire Onto the Back Of the Wreath Frame
These holiday wreaths are a work of art, so everyone’s will look different. We suggest misting the wreath every couple days with water, to keep it long lasting. Once the season is over, you can take it apart (just turn it over, cut the lines of wire, and take off the greens), compost the greens, and keep the frame for next year.

Great video, thanks for sharing. About how long does it take to create the wreath, from when you start attaching the cedar bundles to the end?

it takes me about 30 minutes. When I teach this in a class, it takes participants 1.5 hours... but they are usually drinking wine while doing this LOL
