I have made a light destroyer on official once... took 3 weeks on earth to do it but i had a moderator say he stumbled onto me building and was interested.... i then proceded to obliterate anyone who tried atacking me...
Not all of us are master builders. My ships are usually ugly, but the tradeoff is that they're almost almost invulnerable to incoming fire. I only have a couple of ships that both look good and kick ass and those were workshop ships i modified extensively.
It takes a hell of a long time. Usually it's porportional to ship size. My advice is to find q very clear purpose; "It's a carrier!" Etc. Sometimes if that happens I start with a significant feature. On really small ships this is usually the actual utility like fuel blocks. Next build out with simple shapes. Always try a ton of shapes. If you find one you like, build it up. Even if a ship is fully detailed, feel free to cut it up and reshape. Finally, I always use a "Potruding/armor looking bits light, crevasses etc dark." for colors. It does not work on smooth ships but even those usually need a crevasse on the sides or something. Just put in the time. Don't get worried if a ship takes three weeks. As for detail, don't be scared of straight lines but keep the shape non rectangular, and look at existing sci fi for shape ideas.
This is the one of the most handsome and detailed ship i've ever seen, i love to witness these kind of creativity of the community in games like this. Its not a ship its an art.
This is a main character ship. It looks so badass and terrifying at the same time. Imagine this in real life this ship suddenly appears in the middle of a galactic war and just by it's presence is already intimidating enough. This ship looks like it can stop a war without the war even starts.
just thinking of the new scenario currently going on in the LSG server and knowing just how terrifying it be to see a "assimilated" purple colored Monarch jump into the fight.
Just counter with a T.N.F. Tyrant class strike carrier with a full complement of 4 Ghost multi-role dropships, 2 Broadwing light assault fighters, with an overall crew complement of 36.
I like dark ships in multiplayer for lower visibility, but I usually start with a white ship, then paint it black on the outside. That way the white interior is easy to see and get around but doesn't show on the outside.
This ship design reminds me of the Sith Empires warships with its overall design. 🤔 Truly fascinating with how much is put into a spaceship to get it to do specific tasks, let alone battle.
EXACTLY. That's always been my number 1 issue with SE... it's not an actual game... you can design what ever you'd like but if there's not actual game attached to this tech demo/creative mode then what's the point. God. Imagine if SE was an actual game and these creations ACTUALLY saw use in an ACTUAL server with ACTUAL players that ACTUALLY got surprised by this thing showing up and then ACTUALLY have to retreat as the video title says. Instead, some dude builds this in creative mode, loads it into a server and then has a preplanned fight with some other person and that's it. What a shame of a game.
These ships are such an inspiration. I pretty much only use other people’s creations to play the game casually. When I build I exclusively build Ultra-Super Carrier sized Rovers. Probably more accurate to call them Rolling City-states. These big ships really help me get an idea of how to layout large builds. The one I am working on right now is large enough for a ship this size to park in its main hangar. The only downside is that I can’t play online with my builds. My PC runs it just fine with dozens of mods and Ai encounter mods. But it would be so much more fun to defend one of my city rovers from a team of players. Hopefully in Space Engineers 2 I’ll be able to build BIG and play online.
awesome design one thing for us with older machines is not the sight of this monster poping in that will make us run its more the pcu excrutiating pain our older computers will endure that will make us melt on the spot XD cheers aaron!!
As amazing as it is, it's 358,868 PCU, so in Multiplayer it's very unlikely to be built, unless your/server settings allow it. But still a wonderful Carrier! I'm definitely gonna steal some ideas and take notes :]
Would love to see this or something like it as a boss ship for an event.. or even a lingering threat on the server for them to tell cautionary tales of, you should do that if possible.. 🎉
I could see this rig in a Redwood series, where the mission is to capture a cargo ship with access codes, load it full of explosives, & try to cripple it while it's in a planet's gravity well, so it would crash.
Another ship to buckle the limits of space engineers. I would honestly love to build something like this and staff it with drones. Too bad official servers would only let me build 1/50th of it.
Loved the video @LastStandGamers! Can't wait for the next video man! The Monarch looks like Something you'd want to Stay Clear of if you weren't going Fast and Hard for the Attack. Somehow I get the Feeling that you probably won't be coming back from attacking this in anything from Captain Jack's RWI Fleet LMAO!
So the biggest weakness i see is obviously the frontal launch area. A simple approach from the front could completely destroy the ships launch capability while not taking much fire from turrets. Unfortunately there really isnt a way to solve that other than just adding some more guns. Luckily it really shouldnt have to take much fire cause it is a supporting ship
3:37 Imagine you’re in a battle and someone drops an O.D.S.T team in drop pods on this little area of the ship and infiltrate it. That would be so cinematic
imagine flying bomber drones in formation, running scouting missions around the perimeter defense of your carrier, and then this supercarrier exits it's jump a few kilometers, and it dawns on you that you have to attack it with what menial railguns and missiles you have
Those external connectors are also a good place for interceptors, forward recon and assault recon as well as small drop ships, or larger drop ships if you're willing to sacrifice a couple of numbers.
only looks like the next salvage job for my salvage company which considering our two mainline salvage ships can strip and fully dismantle all of the drones from the mods made by lucas and splites at the same time as be involved in a prolonged fight without even losing our shields i think this like all others would be taken apart within a few mins
Man this ship is long with an absolutely massive hangar does anyone think that perhaps it could be way more compact if the ship was built more or less around it's hangar? Im not trying to detract from it's design it's more than clear a ton of time and effort went into it and it's definitely more than what i could ever do i just want to see how perhaps a alternative design could go
I'm not playing this game but I saw another video of another ship design called a "Rex Mortis" or something. If this is a carrier and that 9ne was a battle ship... wonder how they both would work together. That and what other craft would you need to be with you.
Got a dreadnought in nms and the sheer beauty of it made me want to bother to learn space engineers for console just so i can build a dreadnought of my own design but i dont think itd be worth it without being able to use it for combat
Hey LSG love you're channel, i recently recreated the Starlifter C2 from Star Citizen in space engineers and would be awesome if you made a showcase video
O.K.; how long is it, how wide, how tall. What is its metric tonnage? How much power does the power plant generate? How powerful are its guns? How thick is its armor? How are these ships going to impress unless you provide information on each system. Like, how much thrust does it have? What acceleration does it have? What is its performance level in combat.
I need more disk space along time ago so I ended up deleting space engineers a long time ago now unfortunately my house burned down that I was living in at the time and now I've kind of just moved into a trailer I hope someday I can come back to trying to play this game it was always really cool
it's cool yea but a few cluster missile's could take out all your gun's at the top leaving you with a disadvantage it dose not mater if you take 1 out there's always gona be 3 more behind it and them being cluster missile's yea, But if they have welder's under them i could see my self using this
That’s if they can first of all get in range of the carrier and then it’s gotta face a bunch of point defense, again this ship would never travel alone
@@spoork9443 even then you could just deploy them out of there range, and when there guns can fire there would be to many to shoot down plus all you have to do it take out there ability to move and just go from there
This is great and all but the sad truth is the game is way to laggy and not optimized and their servers suck to realistically handle this besides maybe solo private saves. We need to call out SE for the ruined potential so they will do something about it besides ignore it for SE 2, which will undoubtedly have the same or worse problems, sadly, ignorance shouldnt kill the potential of such a great game.
@@nickforgie4290 This ship would need a battlegroup just like aircraft carriers irl. And the players would have to be smart enough to stick with the carrier and not go off glory hunting. Done properly a missile boat or a grinder drone shouldn't be able to get close.

2 Things I'll never understand about SE players:
- How they have the time to design these huge ships
- How they plan to build them

It is a real honor to be featured on your channel! I began playing SE through your videos in 2015. 😄
Congrats man! And the ship is beautiful
Awesome build. How many hours did it take you?
Sick ship man
This is THE best carrier i've ever seen, you made a work of art man this thing is absolutely beautiful
Great carrier chief.

The interior lighting work is the best part about this ship.
Top tier.

very efficient design, love all the little defensive & offensive efficiencies it offers

Might I recommend the Stone Industries server, lots of combat there if you adventure into the PvP section of their server

That ship's silhouette kinda reminds me of the Normandy if the alliance said,"That, but bigger and with lots of fighters!" lol

The second I saw this thing in the workshop, I subscribed lol. She is insane. A beautiful centerpiece to any fleet
babe wake up new LSG upload

great looking ship, great stealth & intimidation, also great design

Exactly my point
Those nacelles could be ships in their own right.
i would def add a gravity drive to help it go and stop.
What an amazing ship. Well presented review thank you!
This is beyond anything i've ever seen. Phenomenal

Yeah, this is the kind of ship that if the enemy's managed to close in to boarding range many many things have gone horribly wrong in the battle.

Damn this is one of the most detailed and awesome ships I've seen on SE.
Only pity is the amount of frames it costs to field one of these :(
This looks like it's made by my favorite ship builder :O
Finally I can use those external connectors for big craft! I have only found a couple carriers that can do tyat
One simple clang gun can say goodbye to this behemoth of a machine
bruh who i the world would not run away from that it has a lot of firepower and armor but i got to say it it is majestic
My poor old PC probably won't be able to handle this ship well, but man do I want to install SE back just to explore this ship myself!
The details on this thing are fantastic!

Some US cariers early in the WW2 had a catapult built in to the hanger deck to launch recon aircraft out of the side of the ship.
Would love to see these cruisers with the fighters or small ship compliment to match
It'd be really great to see ships that were actually practical that didn't have a million subgrids that made it impossible to print...
I'd love to see in your review videos to just watch these tear apart a red ship.
The lighting in this ship gives me some heavy dead space vibes.
Can I even retreat with that many engines
It is so cool and detailed!!! But i wouldnt use it on a survival server or in my own world, i mean like, when are you gana use ut in a server

I might have to use this, because its very similar to ky prefered design style (black and flat)
that is so many thrusters in the back
kinda looks like a vindicator heavy cruiser at an angle
Big ship like that you use a gravity drive. All those engines will make the ship lag the game.
Wow, what a nice design, I will try to do the same on a server with 20 thousand PCU 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It's a shame that Keen's servers only allow 20K pcu.
On that subject: Hardly anything I see or build fits that :/

How is it a Carrier, i didnt see wha tit is carrying.
Hangar was all empty :D
Is this on mod io?

They are working on a better engine and I suspect the new engine will be put onto space engineers itself. That will probably include optimizations.
I have a super star destroyer in game
Yeah it looks cool but it's impractical and impossible to build in officials
Cant run if my ship has become the weapon.
me has 5 DLC every cool ship needs all DLC me crys
I am very confused how people do this
Can we stop pretending that monarchy is cool and that a single ship will hold up against more modern drone swarm designs.
its 2023 and people still dont make their ships planet capable kinda cringe :/
This would likely be unable to be survive missile spamming ship.
Or a grinder ship that evaded the defenses to get in.
