Love the review, 280K miles is a testament to the outstanding durability of the iron block 2.2L , I had the n/a version in my coupe GT, approximately 180K miles plus when I sold it in 1993
Wow, that's beautiful. Amazing how nice those bolsters stayed after all those years, even regular Recaros don't hold up that well. This is like a Cadillac that you can repair yourself, and funny thing is, if you keep it in this condition, it won't lose value. I'm in NY, before I ever even THINK about welding new floor pans in something, spending the money to get a car from the West Coast instead is priority #1. Nice find! 👍
Hi, I’m in Tacoma and had my eyes on this when it was on CL! I’m really glad it went to someone who can take good care of it! Someday I hope to have a 5000, but I get a little intimidated every time I see one come up for sale. Hope to see yours sometime while out and about!
@@a.marlow4930 small world! I hoped to make it to Radwood... next year for sure. There's a lot going on in one of these cars for sure. And sometimes the repair manual is annoyingly light on detail. If you were going to have a shop do all the repairs for you it would be an expensive endeavor.
Looks like your up in Washington state....not too much rust in the sea tac areas....are you gonna bag it and drop it onto bags? Full tint!? That care definitely needs some l.e.d and neon lights along the running boards....🎉 man and a vibrant wrap would be clutch on that old wagon, it's so period, it's like George Bush is still saying read my lips...no new taxes! I'm going to light a clove cigarette and reminisce about back in the day! Enjoy your new ride brother😂
Weather doesnt much for those machines from the future. I live in a mostly rainy country and my late 85 model thats always outside looks as new. Eat that tesla haha
She’s a beaut, Clark! Finally, one nice enough to bring home. ❤
@@bnkwupt I'm so jealous but I do own an eagle premier....so there's that feather in my cap....a premier! So please pass the Grey poupon, sucka!

Take good care of her. These cars even showed up in Robb report this year with a 1986 Audi 5000 CS Quattro getting an entire article.

The outside one on the drivers seat has a tear, but otherwise they're in good shape!

My mom had the Audi 5000S Avant in velvet navy blue and sky blue exterior. With pin striping I think. It had the quad lighting.
@@Andrew-zv4fm would've been an 84 or 85!
@@compu85 it was from 1985 I believe. The car had a lot of issues. Unintentional acceleration wasn't one of them.
