- This was an impromptu plan with my friend Abhinav Bhatt.
A small weekend getway from New Delhi to a small district in the mountains by the name of ‘Kanatal’ which one can easily find close to Mussoorie.
It is about 323 kms from New Delhi.
This is my very first attempt at vlogging.

It was a turn that made it even more risky.
Exactly. I was thinking what these guys are doing. One more thing overtaking on turns and that too approaching a 4 wheeler from the left side and then going on to overtake from the right exactly in the middle of a right bend is a disaster waiting to happen. Don't do that. Always keep yourself visible in the right mirror of the driver in front of you, honk and then open throttle when you can see the road straighten in front of you if no vehicles on the opposite lane

Do continental gt's barends fit the interceptor?
sure sure. These are Kemimoto Bar End mirrors. And Continental GT's bar end mirrors can be installed on Int 650, you just have to do a lot of filing. As the 'bar-end' is not the same one on the interceptor 650.

There are many available on the internet, but it is difficult to differentiate between the stock and the touring as they look almost the same.

Bro what's your opinion on getting way2speed conversion kit? I'm thinking of going for it for my interceptor.
Did you also think about way2speed before going with the Outex kit? Just wanted to know your opinions on these.
though way2speed is good. But it comes in liquid paste form. My concern, (mine alone) is it will be a manual labour to make them an even spread. Hence, I went with Outex kit. :) But you sure can. It is budget friendly, and is equally good.

yes! Outex kit is especially made for spoked wheels, to make them tubelss. In my opinion, totally worth it. :)

I had the outex kit installed on the tyres. To keep the spoke look and make it tubeless.

3 years later. There are much more options to choose from in the market. I’d go with Royal Enfield.

Oh yeah! I had it for 8 years, then jumped to a Harley Davidson. :P and then to an Interceptor 650. Quite the graph there.

Unedited is good in this case! No gimmickry or annoying video transitions. Abhinav's videos are also like this. Clean.
Note that overtaking should be done in the sections where broken centre lines are provided and not when that line is solid. Usually you will notice that solid lines are provided at turnings for obvious visibility reasons.

Would air filter change void warranty? Will it require ecu remap?
changing air filter is like changing mirrors. Mirrors provide better visibility, and air filter lets the bike breathe better :) No ECU remap required for installing DNA air filter. It's a 10 min job. max

And, if you're given a choice between Int650 and CB350, and you have to choose just one bike as your daily rider (in delhi ncr) plus for sunday rides, plus for touring occasionally , which would you choose?

I would choose CB350, for the mileage and the extremely comfortable seat. The only down side according to me in CB350 is the power delivery. I know I know 350 cc and all. But still a little bit would have been great to overtake annoying drivers. 🤪

Did you look into Formula X before doing the Outex?
yeah, I did. In my opinion, though the formula X was cheaper, but to make it spread evenly across the tyres can be rather tedious for the person working on it. So chose the much more reliable option of Outex.

In my opinion they aren't evenly spread. So a chance of uneven might be there. Just my opinion.

Bro check out HDT customs. I think they give a footpeg modification kit where the frony foot pegs can be pushed forward and the rear footpegs will be lowered and pushed forward too.

If the foot pegs scrape your shins then you can try the gt650 rear set footrests.

@@SrinivasGanesh you can get the rear sets from authorised RE service centre or parts shop. Why don't you ask abhinav sir coz he is the best person to gather info about this. He has the rear sets installed in his modified interceptor.
The video is good. The best videos are the ones without any loud music. It ended abruptly though.

Is the rider's footpeg uncomfortable
Not while you ride them. But while you move the motorcycle in parking. It can scrape your shins if you are not extra careful.

Hi Srini, does the Outex have a shelf life .. or does it need to be changed in case one has a broken spoke or loose spoke ..Please tell me more and the cost of 13 k ,is it for one rim alone or front or rear both.?
Price is for both the tyres combined. And no it doesn't need to be changed :)

I find the stock seat quite firm infact I did 1000 Kms in a day...I am 6,1 feet...guess maybe that's made the difference.. otherwise it's as good or bad as my other bikes....guess maybe a personal experience
Woah, I am 6'2". and I weigh about 89 kgs.I sat on the stock seat for about 45mins -1(my previous trip) and my bums got split in 2!! (well they are already 2, so 4!!) Touring seat is the next best option as you do feel the same pain, but after about 3-3.5 hours. Which is a natural reminder for you to take a break and stretch.

Hi there.. There's something about the audio of your set up... Even at max volume, its just about normal level of audio... You were spkg forcefully, as evident... So i suppose, its the quality of your mike?? Anyone else agrees..?? Esp compared to the audio clarity of Abhinav's videos??
Yep he is using a GoPro mic adapter, and Iam using what we Delhi-ites call 'Jugaad' :P Hence. But rest assured, I have ordered one for myself,. But till the time that arrives, I will try enhancing the audio on upcoming videos.

Not really. Cus RE did have an interceptor way back in the 90s. It's more or less a version of that with a hint of Bonneville like classic design. I don't think it's a complete copy. Both have different style even though both of em are in the modern classic genre.
Desi tiger is now in the market, it is called The New Himalayan. lol 3 years later

Couple of days back my sister and my brother went to Enfield showroom in Kerala..they were taking back the classic 350 after service...they saw the meteor and asked for a test ride. And they did it......after they came back they saw the interceptor in the showroom and even asked for test ride on that too...My sister does not know much about bikes....but she Likes bike...they took the test ride... immediately after returning from showroom she called me.i knew that brother will be taking the meteor test ride but not expected interceptor...when I got the call first I asked how is meteor thinking of surprising them.I am sure that they don't know that I know they planned for the meteor test ride...her repli was something like this......."""" Do you need a bike of around 3.2 lakhs with in two days ???????""""""""this bike can go 60kmph in 2 Nd gear.....""""""
I asked did u ride interceptor.....? Then They explained what happened......they rode interceptor and they were amazed.....she doesn't know that my brother was riding in 2nd gear ..she was so amazed by the bike performance ....my brother gave a lecture on it.....if you want a bike go for interceptor don't go for meteor he suggested......
