im a rider for about 15 years. ive had 1100 , 350s and most in between. ive taken bike cross the u.s. and prefer serpentine roads to straight. my 500f honda will be my last bike and its been the most fun. so i agree ... i love this bike.
My 2016 cb500f is my first big bike. I got a street triple afterwards, but, the cb500 is my favorite. Lower center of gravity, lower seat height, higher ground clearance, very ergo dynamic. I’m 5’5 but I have a good inch or more in my boots. Easy to ride. I feel like I’m in the bike. I’m considering selling the street triple. It’s not as comfortable for my frame. Cb is great. Even if only a 500.
is it annoying not having a windscreen? i might get this bike or maybe the new Honda CL500 when it comes out in 2023. i like to be super upright though not sport bike sitting position.
Honestly, I never rode sportsbikes so the wind never bothered me that much. Long commutes are a different thing tho, but you might wanna get a different bike if you're planning on long trips.
If you are a total beginner, then I'd say that this is an excellent bike. Good amount of power, light and easy to learn on. If you have experience, I'd say get at least a 600, like a CBF650 or MT-07. You need a bike to progress on, that's why I traded my 500 with an MT.
I just got it a month ago! It is indeed a great bike, tons of fun, if you commute in city you will always find plenty of power to pass cars and sharply accelerate. Nothing bad to say about it, it really is great, can reach up to about 180 km/h. But as Alex said, I think that you will be wanting for something more... I am already wanting for something more 🙈 after just one month! But for a beginner bike it's excellent
I got one and am very happy with it. It's perfect for the twisties and I also go touring on it. She can hold highway speeds well. It's my first and only bike, though, so I have nothing to compare it against. 🏍

I've been eyeing this bike for about a year now. Would it be something to hold on to for a long time, or a stepping stone bike?

How are you likening the bike? I’m torn between this and the Yamaha mt-07
