Curry has had one run since KD left and that came in an outlier year for Wiggins in which for a season he became the best two way player in the league. Don't forget he was pushing Curry for that Finals MVP trophy up until that final game. Curry has watched the playoffs from home in 3 out of the 5 years since Durant departed. Why didn't Steph catch any heat for the way Golden State looked this season? Kerr, Draymond, Klay, Kuminga, Wiggins all caught heat but Steph could be out there 3-21 every game for a week and the national media would have been like, man he's just tired.

His 3pt shooting percentage was down, but he was still led the team in scoring. Thompson was hit or miss. Green was more likely to get ejected than make the big play. Wiggins had his worst year statistically. I will credit Kuminga for some of that as he stepped up, but who else could Steph turn to for help? No one.

Kevin Durant is a nobody who lost everywhere he went. Texas, couldn't even take them to the Sweet Sixteen, OKC, got embarrassed in the Finals by the Heat, Brooklyn, couldn't even come close, missed every critical shot against the Bucks. The only time he won championships was when he played on all-time teams. The Suns are a disaster. They should have drafted Luka #1 overall like I was saying at the time, but they took Ayton, a player with no heart and no talent.
They're not saying him leaving Golden State is weak. They are saying him leaving GS to go to the Suns (another established organization) was another weak move. He had CP3 and Booker the 1st year, then Beal came in, yet you get swept. They are keeping the same energy they give other greats.
People always talk about how Gobert "got exploited in that game" bruh, he can handle himself guarding out on the perimeter and has good speed for dropping back to the basket with his man or in help defense, when teams go small ball against Gobert they are exploiting mismatches in perimeter players, they are essentially saying I know you don't have enough solid perimeter defenders to guard our best perimeter shooting lineup, therefore when our guards blow by one of your guards who isn't a defensive player Gobert has to completely abandon his man and the defensive scheme to bail out a slashing player that wasn't slowed down at all at the top of the key... people harping on Gobert and saying he's a liability in the playoffs don't know ball as much as they think they do.
So what SAS said about the suns sweeping the Twolves in the regular season then not "being able to exploit Gobert once during the playoff series" is just a lazy take. Like yeah its the playoffs, everyone was locked in and giving more defensive effort, in other words if the rest of the team plays competent defense and lets Gobert play as intended in a defensive scheme, you're not gonna ever exploit him no matter what lineup you throw out on the floor, idk why people can't accept that he's just a great defender. I'll be the first to bash his offensive production but you're a fool if you think Gobert isnt a defensive force that isnt gonna just get "exploited" by a different lineup or rotation

ESPN whenever they cover golf still focus 95% on Tiger when he has had 1 decent tournament since 2008 lol. ESPN will never cover sports well, just like fox sports won't. They cover the same players the same teams the same stories over and over and over. I swear I'm surprised they haven't done a Dak story today.
Statistically he's an all time great. But he'll be knocked out of the top 20 pretty soon. Giannis, Embiid and Joker are all about to pass him, if they haven't already. You can name 15 better overall players all time than him right now.
