    what Tabletop are we talking about? In 1:35 scale the fall is 5mm, the run 7mm.
    So, 40k, or DD_ seem abit Big.

      Great question - thanks for asking! The primary target of the modular terrain is to support a 1" = 5' grid. There's an eternal struggle with 3d terrain, trying to maintain a balance between realism, playability and ease of construction. :) These stairs climb up one level of modular terrain, which is designed around a 2" wall, and the steps accommodate a 1" base comfortably to allow game play on them without any special adapters.

    how do these do with minis going up and down? Isn't the paper by itself a bit flimsy?

      Great question! 110lb cardstock or similar paper is recommended for crafting terrain - it's more than adequate to support minis!
