I have to say Jen did a great job at problem solving those 3D printing defects, the idea of the spider webs was really cool and the covering the floor holes with grass was pretty cheeky.
I know this is just a 3D print and not a scratch build but I still appreciate how you don't stretch out bigger projects like this over multiple videos for weeks or even months.
Yeah, some channels LOVE to milk these builds for weeks. I get that it takes a lot of time and effort, so maximizing revenue to make up for the time spent is reasonable, but very unappealing for me as a viewer
*coughs in overproduced swede*
@@queencyrys6309 god yes. It’s insufferable at this point
@@03dashk64 he’s an incredible painter but if i see him make one more video with Henry Cavill in the title I’m giving up on him forever.
@@queencyrys6309 I pretty much gave up on this certain unnamed swede after his lies about recasting parts for your own use being illegal. Spreading anti-consumerist corporate lies is a thing after which any and every creator will lose all my respect for them.
Really Gund job with the project, Idk how you guys have the patience to cover that much surface area! The spider web effect is incredible and the method used for it is so strange XD
Was that an intentional pun? 😂
@@JDB51 Well yeah, they made the same joke in the video ;)
YEEESSSS YOU GUYS THOUGHT THE HEAT GUN(I personally would've used a blowtorch but still) YEEESSSS
9:52 "15 bucks little man, put that money on my hand. If that money doesn't show, then you own me own me own" If you know you know dude 😁 #junglelove
When Jen said "I think it looks amazing" on the prime job outside I was like YEAH it does because I knew You would absolutely nail it afterwards and You did! Flawless as always guys!
edit: RIP for Maury. I love the guy.
Looking like silent bob in that cap 😂
Can you guys do a video about calibrating your Vyper and Cobra? I think that would be very interesting and useful for those of us with similar printers at home
The fortress city is a massive gorgeous piece. When you got the Glamour shots I almost thought it was a painting because the background fit so perfectly.
Dude looks like if Drew McIntyre gave up wrestling for crafting
3D Printer broke?
Have you considered incense and praying to the machine spirit?
Send in the Cave Trolls!
I absolutely remember when you got the first Murray model! (And when you had to order a new one)
Why do you have to temp me with such kickstarter projects? And I don't even have a printer that is big enough to print something like this in a reasonable time!
I love how yours turned out!
that spider web looks insane and really damn cool! This entire project is insanity!
I see Ragtag is going to a Dwarven Hold before going to the land of the Elves.
This seems like a lot of work to get a huge terrain piece that doesn't really fit anywhere in a usual DnD campaign/wargame. Maybe if the inside was a little bit more modular so the internal layout could be changed it would be better. As of now, the only thing I can see this being used for is a home base for your players or a one-off Gallowdark skirmish since the layout is static. Too much work for this to be worth it imo, but I support anyone who wants a huge AWESOME terrain centerpiece.
Edit: Hahahahah 11:41 "modular pieces"
I was typing about recommending a heat gun, then BAM already beat me to it! Love your channel! I have it on in the background while making my Tau Army!
We just gonna ignore the sip of paint out of the airbrush...?? Yes? Okay...
Video 53 of asking for the Thunderbear cavalry and the Storm bear rider. These would use the Thunderwolf cavalry and Stormrider statblock. Different punny name needed
I can’t help feel that Tabletop Time is just funding all of Jazza’s other projects. Lots of building for an advertiser, very little tabletop time, lots of new Jazza projects.
Seriously considering pulling my Patreon subscriptions.
Where is a battle report? You’ve painted a million models (and advertised their creators) but you never play 40k or their derivatives.
Lame.
Using 6 3D-printers and still having issues is kinda why companies need to scale down on the size of things they sell as STL. files ... like I get it, people might buy it, but people won't print it. It's just a digital Pile of Shame you guys are accumulating XD
All 3 of my 3-D printers are broken now. It will probably be 6 months before I'm printing again. I've been painting much of my piles of shame lately at least. I love watching your vids
The anal prob of abducted people myth started in the movie communion, starring Christopher Walken based off the book of the same name it’s about the author “real” experience of being abducted by aliens. It doesn’t happen in the book. the people that made the movie added it for shock value. The author was quite mad about it when he saw the movie. So if someone else says that it happened to them it’s definitely bullshit it’s not in any reports before that movie. The movie is on UA-cam but I think you have to pay for it as is the movie fire in the sky it’s the movie is definitely played for shock value to nothing in the part in the ufo is in Travis’s original story. I think there was a documentary on his story to.
I always feel like dry brushing FDM prints is a mistake. You highlight all those terrible layer lines. It's just the unfortunate nature of fdm, and why I dont think it's really suitable for minis unless you can reliably remove layer lines, which is never easy, even using something like solvent vapor.
love the work and another great project
but one thing that has bothered me since the big move
why do you guys not have a designated spray booth?
could be a fun video
Alternate Title: Glorious Dwarf Fortress Survives 3D Printer Mutiny
You guys did an awesome job. Those gaps really bother my aesthetic sensibilities, but that's outside your control.
Its a really great build. I love the colors and the spiderwebs.
Perhaps you could have done some more post-processing of the 3dprints to hide all the layerlines? I think it breaks the imersion abit.
Will y'all be streaming this at a later date to test out the story? I plan on making this myself, but would be fun to see someone else's campaign.
01:52 bro dont cut the strings! That looks like a final boss room for a giant spider!
Edit: Yep. You said as well
I really wish I enjoyed the Murray style. It always looks so incomplete and messy to me. But I appreciate all the work you guys put into this and the things you do.
This looks amazing! Great video.
why to use raft... totally hyper overkill... brim is all you need...
I don’t understand why everyone has deadlines
Are we seeing too many sponsored videos? I am not saying that is the case, just asking about peoples opinion.
It's a shame about the layer lines, they're such a thorn in my side also finding ways to buff them out!
Awesome work guys
Would it be possible to do a build video where you show different ideas of how to mask seam lines between multiple parts that you want to be able to pull apart
Can I get a line on the laser cut plants? Is it something I can do at home with a hobby laser cutter?
I'm thorn, I want to like the video but at the same time I dont want Murray out of the cage.
All those strings looks perfect as spiderweb!
I'm very please you showed us this regardless of the printing issues. It shows me that I can do things like this, and flaws don't have to be a problem. Thank you
wait, murray is no longer a robot? Murray: Become human?
When will the battle report for all the games you have said going to come out?
That's a brim not a raft. with big flat prints like that you do not need a brim at all.
It looks Incredibly Awesome!
What is the "classic mari method" you mentioned?
0:00 no need to do all the tedious printing, just use the one right in front of you! 😂
That webbing effect at @2:00 is amazing. ;)
9:52 if MoistCritical ran a 40k channel
I clicked 'like', release the Murray please 😄
This is a _horrible_ advert for 3D printers 😅
When are we going to see part 2 of your kill team series
Tabletop Time: "We are going to use all our 3D printers for a massive project"
Their 3D printers: "Gentlemen, synchronize your death watches"
They saw us coming and wanted none of it
darn, i'm too broke to try and help...
9:53 silent bob ain’t so silent anymore
I feel your pain guys. One of my 3D printers has been having issues for months. I finally spend the bucks to buy all the replacement parts (its an Epax E10). Spend a weekend doing the work, run a test print, seems fine, and run a full print. Now its giving me a whole different set of issues. I love the hobby... but holy crap is it tedious at times.
Absolutely! We do so much at TTT that there are areas we also just arent experts on. We buy and set up 3D printers like any home hobbyist, calibrate them, they work fine for a while, but when problems come up we often don't have the days required to research and trial and error the solution, they are finicky for sure
So...3D printers are still crap?
U say bad 3d print. I say giant spiders nest.
I thought that was Castle Ravenloft
This is no stringy... this is full hairy!
I gotta say, for how expensive the buy-in is for even entry-level 3D printing, I do rather expect the machine to reliably work properly
3D printing is itself a hobby. I think people often undersell the hard parts of the hobby. It requires time and effort and interest to get the most out of
How big of a print bed did you use?
Oh, please, please, PLEASE, do a pen&paper session with this awesome terrain for your "Tabletop Time Roleplay" channel!
Please Make Box Wars Armor!!
Going to put this here once more... Still waiting for Jen to say "I will have 'nun'of your puns" in one of your Warhammer videos
But in relation to this video, that dwarven fortress looks awesome, wish I had some 3D Printers; there is actually a perfect place for it in my homebrew world
You guys killed this project! Well done 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
@1:53 That piece with all the stringy bits looks like it's filled with cobwebs.
Ha ha, Jen had the same thought.
As always, amazing work. I like the idea of rolling with happy little accidents. The whole thing is fantastic.
I enjoy the work you all do on the channel, but my favorite part of your videos is how you all compliment each others work. Its heartwarming to see the positive reinforcement and words of affirmation. Cheers!
As any model maker will know hot glue spider webs are a pain in the butt, stringing all over the place and looking messy.
But in this case they look great and are easy to make.
Big tip for next time, a barbeque lighter is great for cleaning up strings on FDM prints!
Poor, poor M'ray. RIP.
How much did it cost in print material? Looks a hefty beast!
This is absolutely incredible, I can’t imagine how much work it was
That's Awesome
That’s so cool!!
Perfect video.
i'm 858th like
I too enjoy the smell of a good airbrush. Looks great btw
Love the content
Awesome!!
Been watching this one for a while unreal work guys can't wait to print my own!
does anybody else feel an overwhelming need to see Gundbar in a ragtag season?
The exterior of this project gives me arcane vibes!
The failed print would be great as a spider infested dungeon
looking forward to seeing it on Tabletop Roleplay
Looks epic guys. Love the spider web look
So EPIC
Great video, I learned a lot. Was wondering what scale was this done in. I am assuming 28mm but figured I would ask
That's correct 28mm
Well done good save and you need a 3D sponsor !
76th viewer lmao
Wow!!!! Looks amazing!!! 😊
Love the Eerbor theme
Glad D & D hasn't been abandoned completely. F*** WotC though, but support the hobbyists.
Nice Work! Your videos have really inspired my own projects, especially your videos on Orks!
Printing line ruin it a bit...
9:52 Nice @JimmyHereOfficial cameo.
Got to love when things go wrong it still gives you something that can be useful
