    LS460 I wouldn’t say is a million mile motor. I WOULD say the LS430, and LS400 are. Actually there’s already a few LS400s with a million miles on them.
    I owned an 08 LS460, bought with 108k miles and sold with 207k. It was a wonderful car drove so insanely nice, took lots of roadtrips in it. It burned some oil, and had issue with sticky dash, but that was it. The older LSs were a little bit higher quality. Also the VSC system is only lit up because of the CEL.
    I also own an ES330 with 354k miles, and a GS430, an IS300 sport cross, and an SC430. And a Land Cruiser with 315k

    These are generally known to be one of the more unreliable Lexus models ever made, especially the first three years, of which 2007 was the very first year. But keep in mind, it's a Lexus, so despite the shortcomings, it will still last, but it the LS460 was really the first model that takes a lot of money to keep running. Many consider the LS430 to be the "last good" LS. Myself included. But I've had three LS430's and an LS460, so I'm happy to answer any questions you have about this one!

    - sticky dash and door cards (dealers had a free replacement program
    - the mark levinson amplifier is known to die. there are species who can fix it
    - front control arms (4 on each side) are known to fail every 100k miles
    - the one that hurts the most is the brake actuator. Dies at 100k ish , is 3,000$+ to replace.

    Push the valet button in the glove box. Trunk won't open in valet mode or with the valet key. Or flip open the fob to use the master key.

    These are subject to the expensive control arm issues...correct?

    • @805NAVE
      @805NAVE 15 годин тому

      Not issues, but normal wear and tear yes. They will need to be replaced eventually. I just did them on my GS430. , about $900. I sold my LS460, never had to do them, had that car for 100k miles , sold it with 200k

      @@805NAVE No there are definite control arm issues on this version of the LS. There are many video here on the subject. About a four thousand dollar repair at the dealer.

    This is the worse time of the year for car/deer accidents. We have had at least 100 so far this year at the shop I work for in Michigan...

    Randy idk if you know this, but some lexus’s have a trunk shut off switch that’s in the glove box area. Not sure if yours has it but mine does. Just thought i would share, as i thought my trunk didn’t work either! 😊

    Fix the check engine light and you'll fix the VSC light most likely, I know it's kind of a weird thing but that's the way Toyota and some gm vehicles are.
