The boost in low sounds that we wouldn't otherwise hear from modern hearing protection is what sold me. I can only imagine how much better this tech is.
These are great. They are amazing. Know that in a dangerously noisy environment, sounds that can damage your hearing and cause permanent hearing loss also travel through your throat. Muffs over the ears do most of the "heavy lifting" for protection but no muff will provide 100% protection.
I love my sordin pro ear pro. You didn't mention that it's almost like you don't have them on. The sound direction and situation awareness is outstanding!
@@josephsacher1048 Sorry, don't shoot indoors but the SFA are slightly quieter. If you hunt or shoot rifles, get the standard Supreme Pro-X. If you shoot only handguns, get the SFA. Primary Arms has the best prices in the nation on both!
I can't seem to find the Supreme Pro X SFAs... Are these marketed in the US under a different model name? I see the MIL SFAs, but they don't appear to have the Hear2 feature
@@Killjoy.Z I dropped a note to Sordin and asked if there's a retailer that has the Supreme Pro X SFAs, they suggested trying one of the retailers in Germany... I think this means they aren't available in the US as of yet...
I just got the new ones. The modes are pretty cool. Hunting mode is super clear and excellent ability to distinguish sounds and direction. Focus mode is very sensitive. Shooting mode is kind of weird, there is a hissing background noise, it definitely cuts the higher frequencies, I tried this at the trap field tonight and found it makes gunshot sound very comfortable, but you sacrifice speech intelligibility and other more nuanced sounds. With speech, it seems to cut the "s" sound almost like you're talking on a radio or telephone.
Just in time for me to be in the market for some quality shooting muffs. These sound great, and I'm ALL about saving my hearing. I can't really tell if they're available yet, as I can't really tell the difference in ads between these larger volume sets and the previous versions. Is there any dead giveaway to look for while shopping?
I replaced my Sordins with a set of muffs with more noise reduction, as I have some high frequency hearing loss and want to protect my hearing as much as possible. This new version is a welcome change. Will an upgrade kit be offered for those with older versions of the earpro? I hope so, I'd like to be able to upgrade instead of buying a whole new set.
Sordins are WAY better than their NRR indicates. More like 34-35 dB attenuation in the range of gunfire. trevoronthetrigger.wordpress.com/2014/05/01/msa-sordin-supreme-performance-the-misleading-nrr18db-rating/
Too expensive for me. I've got Walkers several years ago. And, was looking at Axil as possible replacement. However, there is never a limit for better things. Judging by reviews these headphones are better than others I've seen so far. We'll see what next year brings :-)

Did you manage to find a website that sells them?
@@musicman1eanda Sry, no. I'm broke atm & hadn't checked.
Good stuff, thanks!

I wonder if you already have the supreme Pro-X LED if you can replace the current Gel oda for the SFA Gel version? Are they compatible?
Man, that's a great question but I don't know the answer to it!

Good point!
I just got a pair but they don't have the new Hear2 functions... You think I should return these and try to locate a pair that has them?
I have a pair of Sordin Supreme Pro-X and Pro-X SFA; I love both. 👍
Can you tell much difference? How about indoors?

Are you in the US? Where do you buy them?
Do you feel that ear plugs are still needed with the new SFA model at an indoor range?
i thought shooting mode is suppose to help with face to face talk....at that is how I'm reading it in their manual.

"Sordin" labeled by itself is the new group. MSA Sordin is the old.

Where'd you get them from? The Hear2 tech ones seem to have just recently come out.

They really are top of the line, but you're right they're not cheap!
Yes , OUCH 🤕
I have Sordin Supreme and I do not like it AT ALL. It has very minimum noise reduction . It hurts your ears
Something is wrong friend. They’re the best in the industry.
