Did this in a simpler way, so thought I'd share (note I am not a specialist, expert or technician or even close, just sharing what I did with an Aspire 3): instead of using 2 USB drives, I only used the Windows installation one, you can install the drives aferwards if needed (in my case, Acer had included drivers for installation in the system already); the only thing I did was go into the bios (press F2 when turning it on) and change both the F12 boot up to enabled as here in the video and in one of the last tabs (most importantly) changed the order of the UEFI and USB, making sure that USB is 1st (use F5/F6 for moving them). Then just save and exit and install the windows. You can then install all the drivers afterward without using a 2nd usb stick. Worked for me at least and I feel it was way simpler than all the steps taken here, so it might be worth trying.
How did you alocate any drives. I am installing windows for the first time on a laptop, and when I get to the menu where I select where to install windows, I have no drives there, and thats where I assume I have to install the drivers in order to find the ssd and to install windows on it.
@@dogshithandle111 Not sure. When I got to the menu to select where to install, I selected the one that had close to 500 gbs. If it is not showing anything at all in terms of location to install windows, perhaps you have to follow all the steps as indicated in the video. As I said, not using the additional USB is worth trying, but if it is not working, just cancel out and follow the steps, I suppose.
didn't need drivers: run bios, disable VMD Controller, save changes and run Win10 installer again... where do you want to install windows? taadaaa... location is available.
Acer A515-56-784V I was able to boot from usb without executing bootx64.efi command, but on later stage when loading drivers from the second usb, there was no storage intel driver on acer driver page. Instead I used IRST Intel driver (Intel RST VMD Controller) and voila. Btw, tnx for the tip for second usb.

In reality this is a problem related with drivers for m.2 ports that can run as many things. In that way it's really probable that you found the same issue in other brands.
