When I visit a friend's place and I know they have a dog, I always bring my harmonica along for some howling good fun! I love playing a few tunes and getting their pup to join in with some musical howls. Your video is seriously awesome! I'm thrilled I stumbled upon it. Thank you! Your lessons are explained so clearly, and you make it known to students to jump in which ever lesson they are interested in and or comfortable. It's not just point 1 to point 26 - you can start at point 26 and still rock lesson 17, or kick things off with lesson 11 and then dive into lesson 17 like a pro. Maybe you'll even teach us how to mimic the screech of a train next - hehe! Keep up the fantastic work! I’ll be back!
I started with Ben Hewlet Udemy course. I got so demotivated in section 2, which is basically a crash course. I mean, why one should put "seven day crash" before the actual course? And I am absolutely not able to do any decent exercises. So demotivating. I feel like quitting. I will update this answer if I survive and find motivation again to continue
here's hoping the best for you. I think the harmonica is actually way harder than I thought it was going to be. you need a lot of dexterity and endurance to play it beyond just breathing through it. if that helps at all, you are doing a really hard instrument!
I just bought his big course on sale, and I'm in the same boat. I was expecting a step by step course, but it seems just random skills he goes through at 100 mph. I haven't found it helpful for a beginner at all. I'll keep it since it was cheap, but I'll be using some UA-cam beginner tutorials for now.
the most important part is if you live in the uk and buy a harmonica from his sonnyboy online shop you get courses for free i got 3 courses and have only just got through his 30 day introduction course i believe he tries to get you to try as many different techniques as possible as you will chop and change to suit what you are playing at the time warning this deal will probably end soon as he is selling the online shop
I've tried to begin learning harmonica several times but I never manage to get past trying to sound a single hole and deciding if I want to pucker or tongue block.
I watched the video to see, what I did not see, .... I thought I would get to see the student actually play and show us what a "novice" was able to attain from the course

Great review. Thank you. For a complete novice, is it also fun?
