Doing a DIY kitchen build in your van can be intimidating. But it doesn't have to be!
I was struggling to figure out a simple way to build a kitchen for my Ram Promaster, and all the videos I found seemed really complicated and tough to incorporate into my own specific build.
This kitchen build requires minimal skill and only a couple tools! I don't think it looks half bad either. You'll be living the van life before you know it!
Material-wise, all you need is some 2x3's and plywood. Or, if you want to get fancy like me, you can use butcher block for your countertop, but it certainly isn't necessary!
All the wood is held together with wood screws and/or wood glue.
This video walks you through the process of how I built my kitchen, and I explain it in a simple way so that you can use the same principles to design your own kitchen to fit YOUR SPECIFIC VAN.
I'll provide links to any tools or items used down below.
As always, if you have questions, don't hesitate to ask me down below!

I'm a picture framer and woodworking is a hobby for me. I think you're doing a great job Puddin', especially for someone with little carpentry experience. Drawers are difficult for sure, but we learn by doing.

I appreciate that! They don’t seem like they’d be too difficult until you try to do them…
I just added my upper cabinets and they look a little rough too
But like you say, next time around it’ll be a bit better
Thanks for watching John! I’m grateful for your support

I used to help build cabinets for a guy and we used pocket holes for all drawers and they were super strong. Make sure to use wood glue because wood glue is apparently stronger than screws 🤷‍♂️ oh and put the pocket holes on the outside so the inside is cleaner.

That’s good advice! I really appreciate it!
I’ve been bathing this stuff in wood glue so hopefully it’s really strong - and those pocket holes surprise me! I initially didn’t expect them to feel as sturdy as they do
